My family and I enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. It was conveniently located near Dover Downs, they provided wonderful customer service, and was a dog-friendly location. Would stay here again, when I visit Dover.

I have to say I was very impressed by the service. First, We checked in at 6 in the morning & with just a last name Our room key Were hand over. The room was exactly what We had ask for & seen online. Clean & well stocked. Housekeeping was always on time, never a need to ask for something extra. it was lovely. there wasn't always a person at the front desk but if you ring the bell they came in less than a few moments. the room was perfectly cleaned and comfortable and it was close to the university and every place i needed for my trip. i had absolutely no complaints and i would stay there again.

It was my 10yr homecoming and I booked a room at another hotel that was over booked, so I went on line the day before my trip and found this hotel on line. The rooms do not smell fresh. I was hoping they did change the shhets on the bed. The bed was very lompy.

A very nice hotel, it is located in a very nice area with resturants, the mall down the street, various stores and with Wal-Mart located on the next street behind the hotel. Rooms were very clean and comfortable as we have found at each holiday inn express that we have stayed at. The hotel was clean and recently updated. The only issue was being booked into a smoking room but one phone call took care of that. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Dover.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Dover, DE a couple of times. The hotel was very clean and the complimentary breakfast is great. The last time I stayed 8/19/11, my reservation was for two beds and when I checked in, they gave me one bed. The check-in person didn't try to find me another room with two beds. She said, your room has a pull out couch […] and we don't have anymore rooms with two beds because we are full. The room didn't have extra linen for the pull out couch and I was told that I had to come downstairs and get linen for the pull out couch. I thought that was poor service. The hotel itself was good. The room I stayed in could have used a good cleaning, but it was not unbearable. The pillows were worthless. Despite being on a major highway, it was quiet. As far as places to eat go, if you enjoy fast food, this will be a perfect place to stay. "Great Stay"
This hotel was great! It is in a great location with easy access to everything in Dover. The beds were fantastic! Very soft and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was also very good. There was something for everyone, even pancakes! I would stay here again. I travel with two small children and it was a safe environment and very friendly.

This hotel is very nice, the staff very polite, and the room was extremely comfortable. While traveling with a six month old and a dog, it is hard to find a nice place to stay that allows pets.

"The hotel at Dover, De"
It was very clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good and many items to choose from. Very pricey, but the service and stay was great.
The only negative thing i could say in reference to my stay was that the bathroom did not look like it was cleaned properly and the room itself was dusty.

We needed a room for a one-night stay on our way to N.C. We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Dover. After booking the room online early that afternoon, we arrived shortly after 9 pm. Nothing to complain about! Clean, friendly staff, breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired but there are so many places nearby to eat it's not an issue! We had a pet friendly, smoking room and it was large, bed was AWESOME and none of that gross air freshener smell those type of rooms usually have! Complimentary items were plentiful, more than enough […] towels for 2 people, great tv. We loved it at you're hotel! The room was lovely, and the beds with the soft and firm pillows were really a treat! Most comfortable beds myself and my friends that were with me, have ever slept in. We will definitely be back again, and very soon!

"fantastic hotel"
The room was very spacious and clean. Sound proofing was fantastic. We met another couple here and had a wonderfull time. Highly recommend this hotel.

I definitely recommend this hotel. It is I believe 2 stars, but I think it is closer to 3 or 4 stars. The free breakfast is an added bonus. Will stay there again next time I'm in Dover. I actually booked 6 rooms for wedding guests and they all loved the hotel and it's amenities.
"Nice but AC doesn't work well"
Very friendly staff, nice hotel. The AC unit ran on and off (noisily) all night but the room was humid and warm despite the AC being on 65.

I was in town to attend a funeral and the hotel was exactly what I expected it to be. It was clean and well kept. The room was comfortable and best of all it was close to where I needed to be and the price was right.

During our stay, we could not understand why housekeeping attempted to enter our room on 2 separate occassions. On the third attempt, she actually got in and looked quite surprised to see us there, she proceeded to ask "do you all need anything?", we said no and she left the room. The next morning, we received a bill under the door, which was weird […] because we paid our bill through hotels.com. The stay would have been much nicer, if we did not have the fear of someone entering the room in the middle of the night. This hotel was located in the exact area I needed, close to the base, downtown and Dover Downs. Beautiful lobby, clean, well kept. Only bad thing was rude, non-existent desk clerk on night shift. "Great Room...no wake up call"
Do not rely on Wake Up Calls. We asked for a wake up call at 5:30am, because I wake up to phone calls easier than alarm clocks. The hotel never made the wake up call, thus we missed our 7am charter fishing boat at Bowers Beach Del. Very clean rooms and comfy beds.
"Too expensive for what you get"
The bed was comfortable but the temperature of the room was almost impossible to stabilize. The shower was really bad. I actually thought I was in a port-a-john instead of a shower. For the price I was really disappointed.
