"Well worth the trip"
The hotel is about eight miles from the interstate, but well worth it. The price was quite reasonable, the casino offers good games at good odds, the sports bar was great for watching March Madness, and the employees were friendly all around. Room was comfortable. Rates were reasonable. Three or four restaurants on site. All were good and breakfast at Paula Deens was excellent.

"Great Service at the Horseshoe"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. My directions to Louisville were a little complicated so the person at the counter offered to print me new directions and then explained them with details. My only complaint is the carpet in the hallway on the 7th floor looked gross. I'm hoping it was clean, but it had a lot of stains on it. The room was nice. "Horseshoe experience was impressive"
We weren't sure what to expect, but we were VERY impressed. Our visit was only overnight - no casino activity- but we will definitely return with this as our destination! Our room and all common areas were clean and attractive, parking and access to hotel easy. Staff were very nice & friendly. the hotel is very elegant. I only wish that the room we were in would have been kept up like the rest of the hotel. the toilet area in our bathroom had a smell like urine. grout was black and it use to be light.. the room was very dusty.

First off...this hotel is NOT 7 miles away from Churchill Downs!! I paid a premium price because I booked for Derby day. This hotel is a good 35-45 minutes away and I drive fast. If you like surcharges this is the hotel for you. You pay for absolutely everything! I go to Vegas at least twice a year so I think I may have been spoiled with the comps […] but this hotel nickel and dimes you to death. You're in the middle of nowhere so the only entertainment is the casino. When you are at the tables don't expect a free drink. They charge the players for drinks...that was new to me... When I got tired of the casino I decided to head back to the room for TV and a hot shower. The water was tepid and the shower had mildew in it. When I turned on the TV there was about 10 channels to watch and they weren't even clear. It was 2am so I declined to have someone from maintenance come and fix it. TV was out so I decided to cut my losses and just jump on the internet. Well! If I wanted to pay $15 for 10 hours of internet service then that would have been a swell idea but I wasn't in the mood for that. I had 3 huge pancakes for breakfast ($11) that I couldn't finish and a $4 swallow of orange juice plus a charge for even ordering room service. Pretty fed up with the whole experience I was ready to go without complaint until I actually got a look at the toilet and saw it was filthy and when I was putting my things away I saw a pizza crust under the TV stand. I let them know at check out what happened and the supervisor tried to comp my room but because I booked through here I have to go back for my free night. We'll see... Przeczytaj więcej

"bad hotel"
When I made my reservation I asked for a non smoking room. When I got to the floor as soon as I got off the elevator the smoking smell was their The room was a little worse. I think they made that floor non smoking that morning. The bathroom had a lot of mold around the bathtub and on the floor.Now I Know that this is a busy hotel but things shouldn,t […] be this bad. The pillows were hard as rocks. This is not a hotel that I would recomend to anyone. I have stayed in a lot of hotel /casinos and this was by far the bottom of the batch. "Bad place for people with arthritis."
The Horseshoe Casino in In, everything was too far away. The hotel and the casino was along walk. Even the garage was along walk.

This was the most awful hotel experience we have ever had. Upon returning to our room after playing in the casino we were welcomed by our neighbor's TV blaring loudly next door. Although my husband enjoys Sportscenter its not exactly what we wanted to hear while trying to sleep. We attempted to call the front desk 3 times with no answer. Finally after […] 2+ hours of this torture we checked out at 2:30 in the morning and drove home. When we complained to the front desk clerk we were met by a shrug of her shoulders and basically ignored. We have traveled enough to realize that some things cannot be helped, however the lack of service when we needed it was pitiful. "needs a little improvement"
the tempture of the hot tub was too high. you couldn't stay in the water very long. I didn't like the autocharge for snacks. My daughter picked some up and we then had to make arrangements to have the charges removed. Having the snacks just sitting there is way too tempting to pick them up and look at them.
