Rooms very clean and well kept. Hotel staff professional and helpful. Only (very minor) negative was limited newspaper availability - young man behind counter explained that allocation limited and that "priority" status comes first. "Only if you're desperate"
My wife and I traveled with our two middle-aged daughters to attend our granddaughter's graduation at SFA. A room with king bed and sofa bed is all that was available and at a pretty pricey rate. The room was cramped with the sofa bed extended. Bedding for the sofa was scarce, and when I went to the front desk to ask for an additional comforter, I was […] told that there was none available. So, I asked for two additional blankets and was told that I could only have one. Only after expressing my total dissatisfaction with the situation, was I given two blankets. The sofa bed mattress was very thin and the springs were weak, which resulted in a fitful night's rest. The floor would have been more comfortable, but my daughters would not get on the floor, because they saw some kind of bug in the bathroom. "a good stay"
The hotel is close to the highway and I could hear trucks coming into town most of the night. It made it difficult to sleep well. Breakfast was very disappointing. The selection was a little on the light side and there was no gravy for the biscuits. You can't have biscuits and gravy when there is no gravy. There is an excellent restaurant called the […] Hole In One Bar and Grill across the parking lot from the hotel and it is TOP NOTCH. Not what you'd expect for a bar and grill.
