"Decent Hotel"
The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. The pool and hot tub were horrible. The hot tub looked dirty and was not filled with enough water. The pool has cracks in the bottom of it. The room was clean, but beds were firmer than I like. I booked way in advance so I got a great price, and for that it was worth it!!
We were in Columbia to attend the graduation ceremony of my granddaughter from Ft. Jackson. The location was very convenient and easy to get to the Fort. The shopping center and restaurant locations were also a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast .Lodging price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend your hotel.

"Country Inn is pretty alright..."
Went for a Basic Training graduation at Fort Jackson. The receptionist there when I first arrived was pretty snippy, but all other staff were extremely nice and friendly. My room was clean and the beds were very soft. The room had a minor electrical problem, but it didn't bother me but once during my 5 night stay. All in all, I had a wonderful time! […] Just make sure you know which Country Inn you're getting! I was trying to synch up with family and hastily booked a room at the wrong hotel because there are like 3! But the one on 220 E. "Country Inn Fort Jackson maintenance issues"
Although the rooms were clean and the rates low, the staff was uneducated and not particularly helpful. We could not get the room cool and after contacting the hotel staff twice, it was never resolved. The only person that was able to help us was there when we were leaving.

I don't expect hotel stays to be absolutely quiet, but this place was loud. Cheap building construction really makes a difference. From noise overhead to noise in the halls, we regularly heard footsteps, slams and yells. When we arrived the pool was so cloudy we couldn't see the bottom, so we avoided swimming that evening. Hotel was clean, although the drapes were torn. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Would come again when in area.

Rooms were clean and spacious. There was no computer available to public with internet access. The lobby was nice but the breakfast needed improvement. The eggs were powdered and the pastries tasted like cardboard.

We were in Columbia for daughter's graduation from Ft. Jackson. This is a great location with easy on and off and just a few miles from Ft. Jackson. The staff was very friendly. We had a great full breakfast every morning and warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Now......if they would just put this much attention into maintaining their rooms. Our room was very clean, quiet, and very nice. My only complaint would be with the breakfast offered by the hotel. The selection was good if available. The person in charge was not very friendly.
