"Far from Center + Crowded"
Having not understood the layout of Oporto, nor done enough research to know that June 23 is a MAJOR holiday for them (parades, fireworks, live bands, the works - all over the city), we booked this hotel. It was about 10 blocks further than the outskirts of the city center where our friends stayed, which doesn't sound like much, but in the summer heat […] after walking all day, is. We had an amazing view from the 16th floor of all the fireworks going on over the city. Breakfast in the morning was a zoo. No wi-fi or Internet in rooms was a bummer as I had some work to do and the hotel lobby was so loud with people constantly coming and going. I wouldn't stay here again if I returned to Oporto. The hotel was very pleasant. The room was very quiet and cool at night. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast had a very nice variety of offerings. Only disappointment was that we had to pay 10 Euros each to use the gym. In all my years, I have never had to do this at any hotel. One of the attractions to the hotel was the pool and spa, but I refuse to […] pay 10 euros for each family member for each visit. Also, the location was in a bit of seedy and not the most convenient location. Pillows were extremely hard and make shift with the use of sofa cushions instead of real pillows. Well-appointed hotel with very helpful, courteous staff. Great spa services, very reasonably priced, and generous (hot & cold) breakfast buffet. Not as central as hoped (15 minute walk to main boulevard) but directly across street from metro station. "Un buen hotel que necesita mejorar en recepción"
En general un hotel de calidad que desde mi punto de vista debería cuidar que las personas en recepción sean un pococ más agradables. Excepto una "señora/señorita" que nos atendió muy bien, con agrado y profecionalidad, el resto no fue así y lo hice constar en el cuestionario de satisfacción en el propio hotel.

El hotel nos ha gustado mucho. Muy buena relación calidad/precio. Aunque no esta en todo el centro, pero tiene una estación de metro al lado, y andando son 15 minutos. Durch die Nähe zur Metro-Station (300m) und dem Supermarkt (200m) sowie der ruhigen, aber dennoch zentralen Lage ist das Hotel die ideale Ausgangsbasis für Porto-Besucher. Frühstücksbuffet ist okay, aber nicht 4-Sterne würdig. Das Hotelpersonal ist jederzeit ansprechbar und auskunftsfreudig. Kann dieses Hotel ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen.

I have no complaints about this hotel room or staff. But I find it appalling to be charged for WiFi (only available in lobby ) or internet cable access, expensive parking, payment for a mandatory swimming cap and payment for the entrance to the spa and pool. Este hotel não e bom. De modo geral a exceção da recepção todos os funconarios são hostis aos clientes, principalmente os que prestam serviço no café da manha. De resto o hotel e mal localizado pois fica muito afastado do centro turístico da cidade. O estacionamento pago e muito caro. A internet também não e gratuita e muito cara.

Hotellet er rigtig fint, men er ikke så egnet til at have børn med på. Poolen er til wellnes-kunder, ikke til børn, og børn må kun opholde sig i poolen frem til kl. 16. Poolen koster desuden 5€ hver gang. Der er IKKE trådløs internetadgang på værelserne. Der er derimod et kabel, som man kan sætte i sin pc. Spent three days there for leisure July 2011. Beware; this is a hotel where you have to pay for everything (gym/pool, safe deposit box, internet (not wireless!). Decent breakfast, nice rooms, quick walk to city center. Should have had 3 stars, not 4.

El hotel fenomenal, un poco alejado del centro de la ciudad pero muy bien porque está muy bien comunicado. El precio por utilizar la piscina un poco excesivo 10 euros/dia, sin incluir el gorro, que es obligatorio y que si te olvidas de llevar, te cobran 3 euros. El servicio del hotel muy bien.

Davvero molto buono il servizio offerto e la cortesia alla reception. Colazione ricca di scelta, carina la piscina con idromassaggio all'ultimo piano. A 1 minuto dalla fermata del metrò-tram che rende l'hotel molto comodo e vicino al centro città.

"Hotel Vila gale 5 min en voiture du stade de foot"
super séjour, hotel classe sur 19 étages avec vue sur Porto. Très agréable et propre. Centre ville accessible à pieds. Grande chambre et petit dej en buffet très complet. Problème Piscine et spa coute 10€ par personne meme les enfants et il faut un bonnet (2,5 €).

Todo lo ofrecido por el Hotel Vila Porto Galé, en las web, dista mucho de la realidad. Las habitaciones, apenas si son reductos para dos personas, las diferencias, al menos vivdas por nosotros, entre una fumador y no fumador, radica en un cenicero sobre una mesilla y un olor pestilente e irrespirable, ni terracita, ni balcón o tan sólo una ventana que […] abriera desentemente. Ante las peticiones de servicios como "la supuesta disponibilidad de internet 24 horas", según la recepcionsta hay que esperr que llegue el director del establecimiento, que es pasada la media mañana, al menos cuando así lo solicitamos nosotros. El hotel se encuentra sumamente partado del puente Carlos 1 y no a poca distancia como reza la web. En fin y si nos abocamos a describir la dichosa "cama supletoria" de nuestra hija, da verdadera pena y es increíble que se catalogue al hotel de 4 estrellas. Una especie de catre de campamentos, con una colchoneta de no más de 5 cm de espesor, imposible dormir. L cama de matrimonio, un trozo de tabla sobre cuatro patas a modo de somier. Pero no son sólo habladurías, como es de suponer, es muy poco creíble esta odisea, por ello tuvimos la precaución de fotografiar nuestra habitación por si se nos acusase de difamar al establecimiento. El desayuno de bienvenida que se publicita, no existe, como tampoco el variado, que te corresponde por contratarlo con el alojamiento. en fin de lo que dicen, nada es verdad, al menos en nuestro caso. El día que nos íbamos, ya habiendo perdido nuestros billetes de regreso del comienzo, contratando nuevos vuelos, y perdiendo las siete noches que aún nos quedaban por disfrutar, nos dice la jefa de recepción que no estaban al tanto de nuestro caso. Esto luego de pedir hoja de reclamación, que se tardó bastante en darnos, para ver si desistíamos. Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel. Personnel agréable et disponible, chambres propres, belle vue sur Porto. Hotel bien situé, à 10-15 min à pied du Centre, ou 4-5 euros en taxi, 2 minutes du métro et bus. Plages à 30 minutes en métro (le métro ressemble plus à un tramway, on en profite donc pour visiter la ville) Excellent petit déjeuner, […] varié et copieux. En comparaison, le buffet du soir est un peu décevant. Le bar manque d'ambiance. Le spa ,la piscine et la salle de sport sont en supplément, mais avec possibilité de demie-journée ou d'abonnement. Bra beliggenhet for å utforske Porto. Dessuten ligger hotellet bare 300m fra Metroen som går fra flyplassen! Bra standard med bra mat og greie rom. Litt treg betjening, men det går bra så lenge man har ferie:)

Super séjour! Tout nikel!!! Dommage que la piscine pour les enfants soit si chère.... mais bon, tout était tellement génial que ça a eu très peu d'importance!!! Je recommande cet hotel à tout le monde, surtout pour les familles nombreuses!

Ett helt ok hotell, med läge nära tunnelbanan. Närområdet är inte mycket att ha, men tunnelbanan förenklar resandet betydligt. Porto är väldigt fint i övrigt.
Flott hotell, med greie rom og kjempegod mat. Både frokost og middagsbuffet var av beste slag.

A notre arrivée à 15hH la chambre n'était pas disponible. Notre réservation concernait une chambre pour 3 ADULTES; Or c'est une chambre avec 2 petits lits jumeaux et un LIT de CAMP qui nous attendait!! inconfort total et aucun effort commercial de la direction.
