A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.

This Hotel is next to EuRoma mall, but way too far from the merto staion, and it is very hard to drive in Roma, it is easier to have a hotel close to metro. Overall is ok, but they charge extra 6 euro for internet even you only need 10 minutes.1 mins~ 24 hrs for 6 Euros. It is silly. Again, no swimming pool, or any excerise.

The place is great. Recption staff are very Welcoming. The Waiters in the Restarunt are RUDE and over worked. Expecially one Waiter whom is very ANGRY in his Body Language for entire stay. "Very nice and clean, but too far from sights"
If you're staying in Rome for business or for more than a couple days, this might be the right hotel for you. However, it is quite far from the center (more than 10 km) and the receptionist told me that it would be 25 Euro to get a cab to the center. I'd reccommend a hotel much closer to the center for tourists.

This is a top quality hotel in a fairly decent location. We had trouble finding it on our own and ended up having to take the taxi for a hefty price but once we arrived everything was good. "Hotel Cristoforo Columbo Rome"
Lovely hotel. In a good location on the suburbs of Rome 20 min walk to metro station or 5 min by bus then 20 mins in to Rome Centre. Hotel was very nice as were the rooms. Breakfast was fine and plentyful. We had evening meal on 3 nights 15 euro set menu was good value and food was very nice. "Roma - has no heat"
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel is next to a shopping mall. There are restaurants in the area. It was quite a long way from the airport. The double bed was two twins put together while we waited. There was no heat, on a very chilly day and night, had to use the shower on high to heat up the room.

I was trusting the 4 stars when I booked the hotel and was very disappointed. I booked a non smoking room and ended up with a room with a very bad tobacco smell. Cleanliness is not perfect at all in the room. Rooms are small. Impossible to keep windows open due to high noise from the street very close to the hotel. "If price is important..."
...then this may be your perfect hotel in Rome. And, if you like to shop, then you're really in luck. It is located in the shadow of what they say is Europe's largest shopping mall. Whoohoo! But, definitely NOT my thing. Or, my wife's either. So we were there for the price. Otherwise, not a great neighborhood. And a long way from anything you would […] consider to be Rome. Unless easy airport access is a biggy. Really hard to find, and even harder to get to once you find it. It’s stuck in between two gas stations. Once you figure that out, it gets easier. On our trip we ate many “free” breakfasts at many hotels, and this was by far the worst! And the pool, well I took one look at it, and considering the fact that I was required to rent a towel from the non-existent attendant, I decided it wasn’t worth either the money or the wait. But, what’s with the four stars?!? Is that a typo? There is no way this is a 4-star anything! A hotel like this getting that rating completely discredits the rating system. we booked this hotel on the basis of hotels.com reviews, its price and its location (reasonably close to Rome airport). There's a very attractive picture of the pool area on the website, but it's a bit misleading -- it doesn't look anywhere as nice in real life, and the pool closes at 8pm (so you don't really see it at night). The internet kiosk is […] expensive, and the hotel entrance is a bit hard to see (between two gas stations). The GPS got us there, but I missed the turn. The real problem was the hotel restaurant, which was truly dreadful (for a Saturday night dinner). "Also not imressed"
Hotel was clean but average. Girls on reception were excellent and advice and help very good. Nearest bus stop approx 500 metres away - hot going in the Summer months. Food was good, howvere when you order a steak then that's all you get. French fries, potatoes, sice dishes all extra. Would think twice about staying there again.
"Most cost-effective Roman hotel by far"
We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely love it. Though the hotel was 15 Km from city center, at worst that meant 45 minutes to the vatican by rail. The station was a 10 minute walk, or you could take the bus. Staff was fantastic save for a couple of people, and the price included breakfast! The pool was nice too-

very nice hotel, in not so nice neighborhood, but even though I paid $9 for wireless internet, it did not work, I was getting disconnected every 5 min.

"Excellent hotel - amazing price"
We've stayed in many hotels throughout Italy. This is one of the nicest we've been in, at an amazing price for a very, very nice hotel. I'd definitely stay here and take the Metro into town next time. Beautiful room, lovely interior design and furniture, GREAT bathroom lighting and modern fixtures.

Albergo pessimo. STANZA: Piccolissima, con moquette vecchia e sporca Letto in cui entravo a malapena; TV a tubo catodico sintonizzata male e posizionata ancora peggio(praticamente era difficilissimo guardarla se non in piedi) Bagno, dignitoso ma con asciugamani che non asciugano. COLAZIONE: La stanza si presenta senza essere apparecchiata con solo […] tavoli circolari da 8-10 persone. Cibo: Cornetti, sempre freddi anche alle 7.00 di mattina, come se fossero usciti dal frigo Caffè espresso, solo tramite una macchinetta tipo distributore automatico ma le tazze piccole non esistono. Spremute o altro solo nel bicchiere di plastica un pò di pane, del prosciutto e delle fette di formaggio...ma non mi sono avventurato a provarlo. PERSONALE: Da quello che ho visto ci sono tante persone, ma si fanno i fatti propri. Anche nella sala della colazione erano presenti 3 camerieri ma parlavano tra di loro e rispondevano male. L'albergo si trova lontano dal centro ed anche la stazione metro non è vicinissima. E' necessario un mezzo di trasporto privato per effettuare i movimenti in maniera veloce. E' la seconda volta che soggiorno e sono nuovamente soddisfatta nel complesso.Camera pulita, anche se moquette un po' vecchia. colazione buona, anche se le briosche non sono calde (se proprio si vuole trovare un neo).nel complesso,tutto ok
"Comodità"
Ottimo Hotel vicino zona eur e comodo per girare a piedi, inoltre dall'hotel si raggiunge facilmente l'aereoporto di fiumicino. Stanze tenute benissimo e molto pulite.

scomodità del bagno fra i punti negativi. Buona colazione e sopratutto personale gentilissimo e attento. La posizione dell'hotel, risulta decentrata ma facilmente raggiungibile dai mezzi pubblici.

Vi havde en super ferie på Cristoforo og modsat til, hvad andre siger, var det yderst nemt at komme ind til Roms centrum. Der går en bus lige over på den anden side af vejen, der kørte lige ind til Metroen og skulle man misse det sidste tog koster en taxa ca. 25 euro. Turen ind til fx. Den Spanske Trappe tager en halv times tid - der går tog hele tiden. […] Naboen er et kæmpe indkøbscenter med alt, hvad det indebærer af butikker, supermarked og masser af forskellige restauranter. Personalet var flinke og hjælpsomme og værelserne blev holdt rene. Der var dog ikke nogen møbler på altanen, men man måtte gerne tage stolene fra værelset med ud. Morgenmaden er fin, men aftensmaden var lidt fesen, men kan sagtens bruges. Hotel situato in buona posizione solo ed esclusivamente per utenza business, vicino al GRA e alle tangenziali. Sporche le camere, dovrebbe essere al massimo un 2 stelle. Colazione insufficiente e personale piuttosto scortese. Non lo consiglierei assolutamente. Esistono numerose alternative con prezzo simile e maggiore qualità

Eftersom vi reste till Rom i augusti tog vi ett hotell utanför stan med pool, eftersom vi hört att det var så varm inne i Rom denna period. Hotellet låg precis bredvid en jättestor motorväg och granne med hotellet låg ett stort shoppingcenter som var urfult på utsidan. Vi tillbringade så lite tid som möjligt här eftersom det inte var ett inbjudande […] ställe att vara på och man hörde mycket motortrafik. Smidigt att ta sig till och från centrum i Rom. Utanför hotellet gick en buss till tunnelbanestationen och därifrån tog man Metron in. Om allt klaffade bra så tog det ca 30min in till stan. När vi skulle hem tog det aldrig mindre än 45min, ibland upp emot 1h15min... Vi hade hyrbil och körde in någon kväll men det var nästan omöjligt att få parkeringsplats och italienarna verkar ha köpt sina körkort på postorder :-) Hyrbil var dock bra att ha om man skulle ut från stan, eftersom hotellet låg precis vid en motorväg. Personalen här var hjälpsam med de få frågor vi hade. Det var inga problem att få parkeringsplats på hotellet. Poolen hade öppet kl.10-20 och det var skönt att kunna ta ett dopp morgon eller kväll, beroende på vad vi gjorde på dagarna, men vi låg där aldrig någon längre tid. Frukosten var frallor, portionsförpackningar på marmelad, nutella och honung. Det fanns även ost och salami. Fruktsallad Yoghurt Flingor Kaffemaskin apelsin och ananas juice vatten samt då ett urval av kakor och croissanter. Vi tyckte att frukosten var helt ok. "Cozy"
Min og min veninde var på ferie i Rom og havde booket dette hotel. Trods nogle af de lidt dårlige anmeldelser. Det tager godt 30 min. at komme ind til byen, da du skal 4 stop fra hotellet og videre med metroen, Men bussen stopper og tager folk på lige uden for hotellet, så dette syntes vi ikke var noget problem. Vi var ude for at de om søndagen havde […] lejet pool området ud til private personer, det var nok det det gav det største minus i bogen, men det havde vi godt læst. Poolen lukker kl 20:00. Blot husk på, at når I tjekker ud er der overnatnings afgift, dette blev vi først gjort opmærksom på da vi læste et stykke papir der lagde ved det ene nat bord et par timer før vi skulle tjekke ud! men når alt kommer til alt var det et dejligt hotel, og ville gerne tage derned og bo igen. dejligt personale, dejligt rum og lige op af et kæmpe shopping center, hvor der er ALT. "Fint hotel til prisen"
Fint hotel med god stor morgenbuffet og venligt tjener-personale. Hotellet har en pool, man kan dyppe sig i efter en hård dag i Rom, samt liggestole til at sole sig i. OBS på at man skal betale 3 EUR for at låne håndklæder til poolen, så medbring selv hjemmefra. Poolen var dog til tider ulækker, da der flød flere hårklumper rundt i vandet en af dagene. […] Bar ligger lige op ad poolen, spiller HØJ disko-musik, hvilket godt kan være lidt irriterende kl. 11 om formiddagen, når man har lyst til at slappe af. Fine hotelværelser med det man har brug for. Værelser har altan, men der er ikke møbler herude, så den er i realiteten ubrugelig. Dog tog vi tæpper og puder fra værelset, og satte os på gulvet derude. Hotellet ligger i udkanten af Rom, hvilket betyder man skal gå 5 min til en bus, der kører til nærmeste metro (EUR Fermi), hvorfra det tager ca. 10-15 min. at komme ind til centralstationen (Termini). Velfungerende metrosystem - Metrokort kan anbefales, alt efter tid i Rom (16 EURO pr. person for en uge). OBS: Selvom Hotels.com skriver, at prisen er inkl. skatter og gebyrer, er dette ikke tilfældet! Du skal betale ekstra skatter efter endt hotelophold (=3 EURO pr. nat pr. person). L'albergo e posizionato vicino al Grande Raccordo Anulare ed al centro commerciale Euroma 2, e dispone di camere comode, la colazione a buffet e il parcheggio ampio, ne consigliano il soggiorno per chi è in macchina.

L'hotel è situato in un punto strategico per chi dovesse andare ad un concerto/spettacolo al palalottomatica, è vicinissimo , le camere sono molto confortevoli ed è pulito e tenuto bene, in generale mi sono trovata bene , l'unica pecca?? Il personale poco accogliente e molto scontroso!!

Ganske udemærket hotel - pænt og rent, god service, venligt personale- og hotellet ligger lige ved siden af et stort shoppingcenter (Euroma 2). Jeg vil dog også fremhæve nogle negative ting ved hotellet: - Øjensynligt lejer/låner hotellet pool området ud til private fester, hvilket skaber meget larm indtil ca. kl. 1-2 om natten. - Poolen lukker allerede […] kl. 20. -Man skal med bus ca. 4-5 busstop for at komme hen til nærmeste metro station, hvilket gør at det tager lidt tid at komme ind til centrum. -Der var altan på værelset, men hverken bord eller stole derude - så altanen var reelt ubrugelig.
