"clean, but very basic -- amazing location!"
You can't ask for a better location, and the free parking is great and easily accessible. The rooms themselves are clean and tidy, but are very basic / plain / stark. If you don't mind how it looks ( which really isn't that bad), then this is a great functional convenient place to base yourself in Vancouver.
"vancouver down town Tropicana Suites"
Old, not very up dated suites, no AC, doors make a lot off noise when closed. Had to call reception in the middle of the night twice, because of fghting and yelling in nearby suite. Reception did not react accurately. there is no security in building, everybody can use the elevator ( no security card). I did not feel safe.
Hotel building was used with apt suites. That why this building is not designed to hotel and no air conditioner.

We had a great stay in this hotel..Friendly and fast service for check in..Rooms are very nice we had a kitchenette it was great...Prices are reasonable for the summer season...Overall I would recommend this hotel had a very pleasant stay...

"Convenient but dated"
This hotel is conveniently located, but dated without a/c and all of the lamps did not work.
