Went to Glasgow to celebrate our wedding anniversary . Got tickets to Sting in the SEC next door to the hotel . I booked the hotel months before the stay. Very nice hotel in a very nice location . Had a very nice evening meal. Could have been the perfect weekend away but .. first night we had a double room but the second night (our anniversary) we were […] moved to a twin room . Even pleading with the staff on reception and telling them why i had booked the weekend did not make any difference . The hotel was full and apparently others who had not yet booked in had priority over us . So we had to pack up and move 6 floors to our new room . I did think they may have tried to make it up to us in some way but nothing . The hotel was very nice and if we go back to Glasgow I may consider the hotel again but would ring first to make sure I was not going to be moved . Przeczytaj więcej

Very high quality hotel in general. My main issue, however, as with many hotels based on tower architecture is the temperature of the room: I stayed on the 2nd floor and had the unenviable choice between trying to sleep in ~25c ambient temperature or trying to sleep with the (thankfully functional, but very loud) air conditioning fan permanently on. […] So I only got about 2 hours' or so sleep in the end. Service, maintenance, cleanliness, etc. all second to none, as should be expected from high-end hotel. The pool had plenty of facilities but was somewhat small for its popularity - it was full to the brim with kids on my visit preventing me swimming more than a couple of widths. Not a criticism of the hotel but something to be aware of at the weekend. The hotel is easily accessed via Exhibition Centre station (EXG) and benefits from an integrated walkway straight through to the SECC. However, for those without a car, the railway station is the only realistic way of getting in and out: due to its location away from any residential areas, local buses are rare to nonexistent, and trains start relatively late on a Sunday - check before travelling, as it is certainly *not* walkable to central Glasgow! The hotel was lovely and the room was very comfortable. Very clean and we were lucky enough to look out over the Clyde so had a nice view too, most of the staff were lovely and very accommodating except for the man who was covering the front desk through the night. A worn and tired bed, dated decor, ageing furniture and tea-rings in cups. These set the tone. Not great value compared to other hotels nearby.

The Crowne Plaza staff are excellent and made our weekend break a most enjoyable experience. No request was too much and on many occasions the staff demonstrated a genuine initiative and a desire to help. The room was quiet and had an excellent view over the river Clyde which encouyraged us to embark on a refreshing stroll to the historic Waverly, […] the Tall ship and the new Museum of Transport. Stayed in the Crowne Plaza for one night - it perfectly suited my need of a comfortable hotel, with restaurant (excellent buffet), near to centre and with adequate parking. The hotel was clean, bright and busy. The room was nicely furnished and very clean.

I stayed here with my husband for one night we were booked in a club room which was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel is spotless. I must comment on the executive room. It is nice but lacks a toilet and guests drinking in here have to go back to their room this needs to be rectified. I also think something other […] than wine and bottled beers should be offered if you pay for an upgrade some spirits for example. I do have to mention the buffet restaurant we had an excellent meal food fantastic good choice and the food is very very good we even thanked the chef and his team. The Crowne Plaza hotel is in a lovely location with stunning views over the river in what is otherwise, not so attractive industrial city. It is wonderful to come back to this attractive hotel. The food is average but the services are very good

The location on the river is nice, beside the SECC, opposite the BBC, Science Centre and IMAX. It's a good walk either to the city centre or the west end but there is also a train station nearby. We have stayed in this hotel several times as we find it friendly, comfortable and affordable. It also has the huge benefit that if you join their rewards […] programme you may be upgraded to their club floor (which we have been lucky enough to have every stay). This includes a lounge with free continental breakfast, soft drinks throughout the day and alcohol for a couple of hours in the evening. The rooms were large with great views of the city and very comfortable beds. The major disappointment this time was that the upgrade put us in room 1716 which must have been close to the a/c unit for the whole hotel as despite turning ours off, the noise gave us a fitful nights sleep. If I had not had several good stays before this one it would have put me off returning! Instead I'd just recommend avoiding that room (or end of the corridor)! Przeczytaj więcej

It is very nice hotel with Clyde river view.

Good stop but be careful that on the top floor to the right of the hotel the Air Conditioning system workings mean a very noisy night even with the system off. I do love this hotel tho' but will maybe not take them up on the upgrade if they are all that noisy on the top floor

Friendly staff on reception offered a free drink at the bar on checking in. Room was big and well appointed with a great view of the River Clyde. Excellent breakfast with great choice (including HOT croissants - never seen that before!) Room service was quick and food was hot and good quality. enjoyed our selfs very much would go back and stay again.

This is a great hotel when attending a gig at the SECC, however, it is extremely busy. The night I was there, Peter Kay was at the SECC, a Cheerleader/dance competition was at the SECC and a Inspector of Works conference/dinner was in the hotel. It was mobbed!! Accordingly, crowds flocked around the bar and it took ages to get served. Not enough staff […] working the bar for such a busy night. The rooms are okay, but starting to get just a bit grubby. Stains on the carpet and not properly cleaned under the vanity sink area. Bar prices are extortionate, even for London standards and this was Glasgow! Two glasses of average wine came to almost £13! We were attending a concert at the SECC so the Crowne Plaza was an ideal location for us (there is an indoor walkway that takes you straight from the hotel to the SECC). We got a really competitive 'room only' rate and we paid for breakfast separately when we got there. It was very reasonable considering the fantastic choice of hot and cold food. When we checked into the hotel we found we were given a twin room, when a double was what we booked, we were asked if a twin was ok ,we said no and eventually we got a double room, I overheard another guest being asked if they wanted a morning paper, we were never asked this,also within 5 mins of arriving, the hotel fire alarm sounded, so we had to […] walk down 11 flight of stairs, when we got outside no one asked for our names or took a roll call of guests, or told us what was happening, after 20mins outside someone shouted that we could re-enter the building. We only stayed one night, which I was glad with as I hardly slept, you could hear every sound coming from the adjoining room, so much so you even heard them using the toilet and I mean every sound. The room was as the website discribed,except there was only 1 bath robe and also the remote had no backing on it ,and the batteries just wouldn’t stay in, so we had to hold them in if we wanted to change channels. Breakfast was nice, except we weren’t told were anything was ,we were just shown to a table and asked if we wanted coffee or tea, and to help our self’s to the breakfast bar.we didn’t know were to get corn flacks or toast ect,so we just had the self service hot breakfast, only to find on the way out that the toast ect was stuck in a corner, so unless you new it was there or were told it was there you would never see it from were we where sitting. The only negative was the cost of the beer in the bar! £4.60 for a bottle of cider is a bit steep.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2009 for two nights. The room rate was very expensive but we had little choice as our stay co-incided with a football game and a concert at Hampden Park. We stayed on the top floor and even though the weather was not hot, the room was like an oven. On arrival there was a mistake with my booking, but the reception staff quickly fixed it. But what can I say a free drink in the bar on arrival is a good start to any trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was a treat and not too expensive . The room its self was to a five star standard with extra little hidden treats such as bath robes, […] mini bar and spa toiletries. The bed was ok but the room was very clean. The only problem was I was on a low floor and heard an extractor fan and bottles been recycled in the early hours of the morning. The higher the floor the better the view and less noise. Hotel was nice, reasonably priced, room was brill, chef made us a pizza in the wee small hours, breakfast was good, well worth it!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel while visiting the SECC for a concert. The hotel is very convenient, connected by a walkway to the SECC. Our welcome was good, the room very comfortable with complementary coffee, water etc. The stay was marred by the £5 charge for the hotel car park- what a welcome to Scotland for tourists! SECCに隣接しており、ここを利用する人ならおススメ。屋内で行き来することができ、雨でも安心。周りは静かで、部屋ではゆっくりできます。 ただ、ひとつだけ残念だったのは、利用した部屋のトイレの流れが悪く、何度もレバーを押さなければ流れませんでした（挙句の果てにレバーが壊れた…これはすぐに修理対応してくれましたが）。 場所が場所なので、市街地に出るには少々不便です。

j'ai passé deux jours dans cette hotel !! rien a dire du service sauf la chambre situé au dernier etage sous le bloc climatisation de l'hotel qui rendais la chambre asourdissante est le comble c'est que la clim ne fonctionnais pas on avais seulement le bruit est les vibrations
