I was really impressed with this hotel during my stay here in April. The reception staff were exceptional and extremely helpful at all times, the room was lovely and clean and very roomy. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Over-night parking was pricey ($30). Front desk staff was very helpful (I believe his name was Rodrigo). He kept me abreast of a package I was expecting and had it waiting for me when I checked into the hotel. He also upgraded me to a king suite which was very nice. Pool was refreshing.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean and spacious, and it was within walking distance of stores, bars, beaches, restaurants! The staff was super friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are small but clean. Hotel staff friendly, breakfast area small and understaffed.

Set a block away from the hustle and bustle of Ocen drive which is a plus. Great rooms, close to beach and a block away from the Ritz and Lowes. Nice little pool to relax at if you feel the need for some quiet time. Great stay! Booking it in 2013 for next years Wine and Food Fest!

We stayed for 3 nights at Crest Hotel. It was good for the price, but the walls are very thin and we were there doing spring break, so a lot of drunk loud people in the next rooms and walking down the hallway at night. So sleep is optional. The staff was super nice and helpful but I did have to ask for basic things like shampoo/conditioner and an ironing […] board. No new towels were ever changed either. Cleanliness was not perfect, their was splashes of dried red juice on the wall and the bathroom floor needed vacuuming. The location was perfect, right near restaurants and the beach. The hotel is a coupe of blocks from Lincoln Road and the beach. The walls are super thin so you will hear everything going on around you. There is a bus stop that is a block away where you can catch a bus for $2.00 to get to downtown. Another bus stop 2 blocks can get you to the airport for $2.35 and take about 35 minutes. When I checked in the clerk […] told me there were no buses to either place and that I needed to take taxis. Happy with our stay.

This hotel is great if you want to be close to the beach without spending your whole vacation budget on a hotel. It's a 2-block walk to the beach, where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from any of the fancy hotels. Also a 2-block walk to Lincoln Ave, which is full of restaurants, bars, and shops. Only knock i had is that we […] were in a room on the south side of the hotel, which was right next to an alley way, where there seemed to be 10 minutes of garbage collecting at around 7 am every other day. It was very noisy and if possible, see if you can get a room on the north side of the hotel. Also the pool is nothing fancy - it's right on the street and is pretty small. Oh where do I begin on how awful Crest Suites were? First off, the girl who check us in had a massive attitude, and the valet took forever (whereas across the street there's a public parking lot that is just as safe, and will cost the same amount, and you won't have to waste your day waiting for the impossibly slow valet at Crest). Then, after I waited […] for 1/2 hour to have my car parked - which I didn't want to leave because it was double parked on a very busy road - I went to my room. They gave us a room with one bed, although I had paid for a room with two double beds. Once again, I had to wait and see if they had the room which we had paid for. After a few minutes, I was moved up a floor to a room that was easily 90*. Fair enough, it's Miami and they weren't expecting us, but man does that suck to get out of a long car ride to a sweltering hot room. It's a bit far from the South Beach action - about 15 blocks. But it is in the heart of a lot of shopping, etc. That being said, it is incredibly noisy. Now, as far as the actual room - the beds are covered in plastic or something? They squeak every time people move (which is not fun for a room of ladies). And, they're pretty uncomfortable to boot. Also, in our room the maid had only put one roll of 1/2 empty toilet paper in it... needless to say, I discovered this at 4 AM and had a lovely visit with the front desk, again. Oh, and the shower was dangerous - my friend accidentally cut herself on the drain because it was in disrepair. Let me add, the elevator certificate was 7 months expired to get us up to our room. When we checked out, the rude girl at the beginning had told me that retrieving my car from valet in the morning would take about 5-10 minutes. I'm glad I decided to go early because the next rude man who checked us out told me, "Always 15 minutes." It was 15 minutes, and yet another stressful moment. Again, another rude person at the desk. This hotel was not terribly fancy but it was great location, extremely clean and accomidating. They went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. I was impressed with the service... for sure. IT is really cute too!

As the title says the room was infested with ants and the hotel was full and they would not give me another room. Not fun to wake up with ants crawling on your bed and body.... You decide if you want to stay here, many positives, but ants and probably bedbugs too is not a good thing.

Our stay at this hotel did not meet our expectations from looking at the photos on hotels.com and reading about the hotel. Room was small, view non-existing as we had to keep the blinds down to avoid having people looking in. We could hear every single word from the hallway so if you need a quite night this is not the hotel for you. Service at front-desk […] was ok and we got help with what we needed. Pool unfortunatey not heated and extremely cold. On the positive side though I have to mention the location - James Ave is a nice and quite street with everything you need within reach! The hotel had a great location however we were extremely dissapointed with the hygiene standards this resort worked upon. The reception staff were all clueless with any quieries we had and could not help us most the time. Upon check in the room had several hairs in the bath and on the inside linnen of the bed. We had a very pleasant stay for five nights at the Crest Hotel Suites, Miami. The room was a decent size with a very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom is on the small side but more than adequate. The room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned properly very day. We enjoyed our 6 day stay at the Crest Hotel. The room has everything you'll need for a week at the beach; AC, two double beds, clean sheets, a flat screen TV and a shower/bath. The room was clean and the maid came every day. We went to the grocery once we got there, bought a small cooler and enough food for breakfasts and lunches. The staff was polite, […] and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting South Beach. The only complaints we had about South Beach are that the bars charge WAY too much for drinks and it seemed as though the locals are all too eager to scam the tourists. I would recommend that you don't let people know that you're just visiting. That said, I can completely understand their point of view as well. Tourists must be a real pain for them. Many people go to South Beach and act like idiots, so the locals are on the defensive. Let this be a lesson to us all. Crest is a good, clean hotel close to the beach and shops/resturants. You do not need a car if you stay here or at lower street numbers then 20. The rooms were quite small and you can hear your neigburs talking, maybe you should avoid weekends when the partypeople are there.

The hotel is in an excelent neighbourhood. Two blocks from Lincoln Road and a couple more from ocean drive. The Room was good and clean, bathroom OK. The breakfast is in a small room, not enough space for everyone, and is charged appart. They DO NOT have a parking lot, if you plan to go by car, they will charge you 30 USD per day, or you can park just […] across the street (we paid 25 USD per day). Another thing that bother me: they do not have a system capable to find out your reservation only with your name, you have to bring with you the confirmation page. I've made 2 different reservations, the first one did well, the second one they simply couldn't find, even with the entire confirmation page of the HOTELS.COM. Other than that, it was worth it. The hotel was small and clean with an even smaller elevator. The reception staff were 'not bothered'. The rooms were worn but clean. The pool was small and in the front of the hotel right on the street. An older Art Deco property. Friendly staff although housekeeping was inconsistent. Upgraded when we chhecked into a very nice suite. Much better value than the Ritz which is only one block away...

This is a small boutique hotel with superb location. We were a group of 16 and we were all very glad we chose it. The rooms were normal in size and very clean. Walking distance to Lincoln Road with all its Restaurants and stores. One block from the beach (4 minutes walking). We even had a party on the pool, which was shutdown after other guests complain. […] The staff provided great service. The only negative is the size of the elevator, 4 squeeze. Nice boutique style art deco hotel. The hotel was clean and all staff were both helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was relatively basic, but had everything we needed for our short stay in Miami. The location of the hotel was excellent ans just a short walk from the beach, ocean drive and lincoln road. Would definately recommend to others.

Quiet but safe street only 1 traffic light from the beach. Also very close to souvenir stores, Walgreens, CVS, and lots of restaurants & shops. The express bus from the airport stops 1 block away. The room was simple but clean. The AC worked fine, though it was a bit noisy. The free wireless internet crashed a couple of times, but overall worked well. […] If you want to spend a minimum of about 50% more than the Crest, you can get a nicer hotel in that neighborhood with more amenities or closer to the beach, but I'd rate this as a "best buy". I've stayed this hotel for 5 days. Everything was good except for tiny room and a bad bed. The bed gave me pain in the back. But the staff was kind, it was in a great location, and the price was cheap.

The good: - reasonable price - excellent location - clean - fairly comfortable (the air conditioner seemed to only have one setting, so although I appreciated not melting in the record heat while I was there, I did sleep under a blanket) - reasonable internet (free wireless, somewhat slow, but acceptable) The bad: - the staff, although friendly, was […] clearly only up to performing the absolute minimum requirements of their job. - they messed up my reservation and had to move me to another room after two days - my second room lacked a desk - I was there on work, and spent many hours in front of my computer Przeczytaj więcej

I would recommend this place for the location. Close to shopping, beach access, restaurants and clubs. The hotel staff appeared annoyed that you were there and seemed as if they did not want to be bothered. The guy that worked at the breakfast place was nice however, they ran out of eggs at like 8:30 in the morning. The room was neat and bed was comfortable. […] However, we did have an ant problem in the room. Hotel offers valet parking but it is cheaper to park across the street. Valet does a terrible job of parking as they parked someones car of on the curb and against another car. It was obvious that they had to hit the car in front and behind to park the car. Cute boutique hotel that is walking distance to Lincoln Road Mall. The person at the front desk was indifferent at best when we checked in, but the person who check us out was nice.

I was slightly disappointed. I wasn't expecting a five-star hotel and knew we wouldn't be in the room very much, but I've stayed in other hotels for the same price in other "fun" expensive cities and had a much better experience hotel wise. The location was great. It's basically at the point where Collins & Lincoln meet but it's surprisingly quiet. […] The beach is a very short walk with a Walgreens on the corner, which we found to be very convenient and liquor store nearby too :-). The rooms were fairly clean (new paint, clean carpets, no dust, etc.), and the bathroom was clean. That being said, we checked for bedbugs as we do at all hotels no matter the price, and found a small bug crawling under the sheets. We don't think it was a bed bug but still...it's a bug under the sheets. So we asked for a different room and the hotel staff was pretty rude about it. Thankfully they did end up switching our room after we gave them some attitude. The hotel wasn't very busy so it shouldn't have been an issue. Further, the sheets had stains in them and hair was intertwined in the threads but they smelled like bleach meaning they had been cleaned so we just dealt with it. One of the biggest issues though was that they never had any clean washcloths. We went down to ask each day for 4 new clean washcloths and they wouldn't have any or not enough every time. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but it is after being on the beach and sweating in the sun all day. If you're like me and have a thing about just having a clean room but don't care about it being updated, super comfy beds, or new electronics, etc., then this hotel won't meet your expectations. This hotel has a great location in miami beach, near to main avenues where one can also take the bus and move to other places. Duck tours and others are just crossing the street. The hotel does not have great amenities but it is very recommended if your plan is just to spend the night and be all day out knowing miami beach. Hotel was very clean and the location was awesome! If you are trying to keep a budget and stay in South Beach this is the hotel for you!! Beds were comfy and the bathroom was very clean!

I had never been to Miami before so picking an affordable hotel for 8 guys was a little nerve racking. We picked Crest based on the price, location, and decent pictures that they had on the site. I was relieve when the taxi driver at the airport said "Ah yes, Crest Hotel, small but good". The hotel is located just off of Washington Ave and Lincoln Rd […] junction, so very accessible to all the sites. It is a tiny bit north of the main area of Ocean Drive and the beach but easily walkable to there in 10 min. There is a Walgreens and CVS around the corner from the hotel which is very convenient. The pool is very small, like a pool in the back of someone's house but good enough to cool off in on those hot days. The front counter staff is minimal (usually only one person), not very talkative but nice and courteous. There is a safety deposit box at the front counter or you to keep your valuables (passport, money, jewelery, etc) and they give you the key for it during your stay. You can even leave your room key at the front as you come and go in case you're going to the beach or are afraid you might lose your key while you're out. The rooms are small but cosy with our rooms having 2 double beds. The bathroom and closet were clean. One tip, when you first enter your room, make sure that everything works... mainly your A/C unit, the remote on the TV, the shower and toilet. Some of our friends had one of those items not working so save yourself the time of moving rooms by checking it out first. We all stayed on the main level and it was quiet at night so no worries about noice during our stay. There is a tiny elevator and the stairwell if you are on the higher levels. You'll have to experiment with the A/C unit to find that optimum level between "hot" and "freezing cold" during the night. After you settle in though your stay should be smooth. Pretty nice stay. Good location if you are looking for a inexpensive stay in South Beach.

Really a pleasent surprise. Hotel is very well located, and there is a public parking a couple of blocks away. Hotel is old but has been neatly refurbished (rooms/ cafeteria/ pool). Staff is generally very helpful and with good attitude, particularly the folk at the cafeteria. Recommended.
