The hotel and landscaping is beautiful, and from the moment we got there until the moment we left the staff and accomodations at The Blue Sky were first-rate, We had a great suite, with plenty of room for my family. The family was thrilled to have access to a beautiful pool, library, ping […] pong table, and more. The location was great, very close to markets, restaurants, parks, and freeways. This was my first time in Carmel Valley, and the Blue Sky Lodge was the perfect place to stay. They allowed my dog to stay with me in one of their suites on Via Contenta. It is true that furnishings, etc. are outdated, but that is really insignificant if you step outside and see the hills, the meadows, trees, vineyards, etc. of Carmel Valley. And the […] sun was always shining, with the temp. in the mid 70's. Most hotels I have stayed at are so crowded or stuffy. I was recently at a luxurious place in San Francisco where I was up on the 9th floor and not a pocket of fresh air to be found (it's like the hotel wanted us to have that trapped in feeling). Blue Sky offers spacious rooms with windows that open, sliding glass doors that let in cool breezes and country fresh air, and a peace and quiet which is conducive to the most peaceful of vacations! Most of all, thank you to the owners and staff, who are friendly and caring people. I have now found a new favorite for no-stress and happy vacations!
