I would recomend this hotel. It is quite good location to visit White House and other attractions.

"Clarion in College Park"
For $10 more I could stay at a Residence Inn (which are much nicer). I didn't realize the rooms were motor inn style (outside entrances). I should have stayed at the Super 8 Motel down the street with all inside entrances.
The hotel was better than I expected from the looks of the other hotel guests. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was small but clean and stayed open late with a lifeguard. I felt safe with the kids swimming. The staff was courteous and accommodating. The breakfast included waffles! Will stay there again.
"Nothing spectacular but did the job"
Walking distance to Comcast Center, which is why we were there. Staff very nice and courteous. Knuckleheads in a nearby room loud at 3:30 am and the staff took care of it. Breakfast ..... not a full breakfast, but ok. WiFi, check. Pool and jacuzzi warm and fun.

We loved the indoor heated pool. The business center upstairs offered quiet space for reading away from the lobby area. Nice indoor coffee maker.

The room could use a new paint job, something brighter, seemed dark . May have been the lighting also. The carpeting was a little damp.

The hotel was in a good location for travel on the Metro to DC. The sheets and pillow cases were all dingy, the room had cigarette burns all over the place and the clenliness wasn't satisfactory.
This Hotel is the worst that I ever stay in College Park,MD. As soon as I check in they ask me for 20.00 deposit just incase something got damage during my staying. The house keeper were very rude. I do not recommend this hotel,as a matter of fact this is the only and the last time that I stay in these lousy stinky hotel.

"This was a bad experience"
This hotel was seedy; thread bare carpeting with cigarette burns in the blankets. Walls were way too thin-- laying in bed, you heard other guests using the bathroom! Plus our room opened on the parking lot and other guests were less than considerate. This was not a pleasant experience.
"Hotel Clarion Inn in College Park, MD"
My family and I loved our stay. We enjoyed the pool, the gym, the room, the continental breakfast. All the staff very kind. The room was clean and inviting. The outlets next to the sink had to be fixed (plugs fell off). Apart from that little detail, everything was very nice and the price was more than convenient. I would definitely go back.

"Great deal for the cost: Clarion Inn College Park"
When you consider the cost per night, there are a lot of reasons to stay at the Clarion Inn College Park: (1) Indoor Pool and Jacuzzi are wonderful (even if they close by 10pm); (2) Basic breakfast is included: consists of unlimited waffles, juice, coffee, yogurt, muffins, toast, mini-bagels and hard-boiled eggs; (3) Free shuttle service to and from […] the nearest Metro station (which is 5 minutes away), so no need to drive into Washington DC, unless you are a glutton for punishment. We were attending an event at FedEx Field and this was the perfect distance away; (4) There are a few 24 hour stores located within a walking distance or few minutes drive (in case you forget anything); (5) I was concerned that we were in a room facing the highway, but it was really quiet in our room...we didn't hear anything going on outside or from neighboring rooms; (6) We were able to delay checking out a bit with a phone call which was a nice perk (some other hotels can be very strict about the check-out time). On the negative side: (1) You need to request a fridge/microwave for your room...I recommend that you call in advance and even then it's not guarenteed; (2) In the summer, certain hallways are swealtering in the heat (but then you can immediately escape to your room); (3) Plan to ask for more of everything...soap, shampoo/conditioner...although the staff are very happy to be accommodating, it is still a little annoying to have to ask. The Clarion Hotel, while is the most convinient to University of Maryland, I will never stay there, the apperiance of the hotel on line is desiving, while they make it look like a beautiful hotel, when I got there I was very dissapointed, the receptionist acted like I was taking too much of her time, the place looks like it is old and lacks maintnaince, […] and that terrrible heat and odor in hallway was the worse, every time that I came in or out of my room I smell the mildrew and the heat was hard to take. "not at all what i expected"
the pictures lied they dont have flat screen tvs there tv is old the breakfast was awful the lady in the breakfast area wouldnt even let me pour my owne syrup as if i was gonna use to much i guess they was short on syrup or something i couldnt even enjoy the pool cause they wouldnt let anyone in with shorts and a shirt the rooms are small nuffin like […] the picture and the staff was a little rude when we arrived there the water was brown they didnt even tell me that they had any problems with the water when made reservations then they cut the water off for like 4 hours and there is no spa or sauna area like they say Przeczytaj więcej

An OK place if all you're looking for is a place to crash near the University of Maryland. But it's not the Ritz. You get what you pay for. But I would return here simply because of the price. Enough said.
Had a good stay only problem was.. I guess the spanish men where hanging outside my hotek playing music ,I was leaving out to goto the store which is across the street and they whistled and said things.. I meen its a hotel not a tail gating party.

All staff were professional and courteous. Facilities were adequate and rooms were clean and cozy. Shuttle to the Metro station was very convenient and drivers were polite. Great place to stay when visiting the Washington D.C. area.
"Attitude matched the service - poor"
I do not usually write reviews, although I must after this stay to warn those who may be lured by the possibility of a good value. On arrival I checked in at the front desk and was rudely addressed by the only desk clerk. Apparently she was too busy looking a computer and talking on her cell phone in the back room to bother to do her job. She sharply […] criticized me for not yelling for her (?). We got to the room and found that it was an "outdoor" motel style access, not a room with an indoor hall as expected. The room was circa 1950's with original beds, linens and interior carpets/wall coverings that not only showed age but also were dirty. The bathroom was incredibly small with dirty floors and the toilet was literally less than 10 inches from the side of the shower. The shower head was mounted at a height below my shoulders (I have never considered myself a giant at 6'2", but this was lilliputian). Beds were very uncomfortable, pillow cases had someone else's hair on them (?!) and the 10 mm thick blankets looked like they had been worn through by years of use. Bedspreads were all obviously very wrinkled - either due to hurried reuse or lack of folding (I am sticking with the latter for my own hygienic sanity). Noise all night from the upstairs neighbor moving furniture and TV sound (you could hear voices through the walls). Really, just stay somewhere (anywhere) else when visiting the University of Maryland. There is no need to save a few bucks and lose an entire night's sleep staying in this place. Przeczytaj więcej
"The Clarion College Park needs help"
Despite a very friendly and competent staff, the hotel really misses. I was expecting a modest place, and I knew I had to take a smoking room, but the room was so saturated with a foul smell that it was all but uinhabitable. The front desk and all employees couldn't have been nicer, but some things were odd, like the fact the lobby was locked until […] after 7 (when it had been advertised that shuttles to the metro began at 6); and the resaurant advertized "asian fusion" but there was none in sight, although the bartender was great! Perhaps the hotel is a reflection of what has happened to the neigborhood, which I always knew as a good one. "CONVENIENT LOCATION NEAR UMD"
If traveling to UMD and need a cheapier convenient room, this hotel is in a great location near the college without paying an arm and leg. We were traveling for a college tour. Location is great very close to UMD. Price could be a little cheaper for the accommodations, but because of the location, it was ok. Rooms could use updating if they are not […] reducing price. "Hotel was NOT Clean or well maintained"
Continental breakfast (Quality selection and quantity) was very poor. Hotel room not cleaned well. Holes in wall. Outside of hotel falling apart. The people at front desk were very friendly. Parking was adequate. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was OK for the money paid. A bit old, not in great shape, but good enough. Internet works well only in some rooms. In fact we had to change once. Was a bit far from downtown attractions, but the shutle bus to the subway station worked well, including nice drivers. I would recomend to do this, much cheaper than parking in downtown, were there […] is almost no parking. Food at breackfast was better that expected. The pool was good and warm, but the life guard had an incredible bad attitud, yieling to people, never standing, talking by cell all the time and not answering a hello or good bye. Me dieron una atención personalizada perfecta! Por ser la primera vez que estuve en Washignton me ayudaron mucho con tips de transportes. Las almohadas del hotel estaban deliciosas y tuve suerte de tener una habitación sin ruido. La otra cosa que me gustó fué que reservé área de fumar por equivocación y me preguntaron al hacer mi check in si estaba […] bien o si me la cambiaban a una habiatación de NO fumar.
