"Poor quality"
Poor standards. Poor decor. Musty smell to the smallest room I've stayed in when visiting Glasgow. Needs upgrading and the extortionate price for breakfast is way over the top for what is basically a great spoon standard. Won't stay there again. "Very comfortable"
We were in town for a party and wanted to stay somwhere with some personality. The staff were very friendly and the room looked great. We had a nice glass of wine in the bar, then headed out on the town. The 12.00 Saturday checkout was much appreciated and meant we could ease ourselves into the day. Only snags were that the TV wasn't plugged in when […] we arrived (I had to fit the cable into the back) and after we left we discovered that they gave out vouchers for the car park over the road. I have been staying at the Abode in Glasgow now for around a month and have to say it really is very plesent.The staff are helpful and the rooms are very clean and tidy However if was the owner of this hotel i would without question invest in triple glassed windows in all the rooms that face Bath Street . "Hotel abode in glasgow"
Everything was good except the room was very dark requiring all the lights on even in the daytime and those lights themselves were very dim. Although the staff tried to help by providing an extra floor lamp, it was also too dim to make a difference. Fine if you are suffering from migraine or a hangover but too gloomy otherwise.
"Good quality at a very reasonable price"
Good, well located hotel for shopping/overnight visit to Glasgow.staff in the hotel were very helpful. The restaurant down stairs had a deal on where 2 could eat for £28 incl a bottle of wine from their Christmas menu. Good price, however the portion size was very, very small. My wife had ordered the cannelloni parcel. She received 1 !. Had to ask for […] some more , the plate looked empty. One waiter was very apologetic and went off to speak to the chef. "Perfect"
For just the 1 night, where I was looking for all the comforts of my home town, this hotel absolutely hit the spot and didn't embarrass me in front of my guest. I will definitely return, and recommend this to future Glasgow bound travelers. I look forward to staying longer on my next visit.
"Dissapointing for an aBode hotel - not 4*"
Location good however the quality of rooms are poor. Tired and in desperate need of refurbishment not what you would expect from aBode.

"Good hotel"
Central location in Glasgow and well placed. Good rooms and very helpful service, clean and comfortable. Attached to Michael Caine Restaurant which i had used before and although qulaity of food good, portions are very small - credit to hotel staff for confirming that the same trend continues.
"Not a Four Star hotel in my opinion"
The cocked up the room booking and put me in someone else's room - I didn't immediately realise this until the person who's room it was came back. It was pretty embarrassing for all really. They then moved me to another room which had a broken phone line and the internet connection was also not working. I was then upgraded to another room, which was […] a lot bigger, but not that much nicer and was also given a compliementary pint of lager. I thought the airconditioning was noisy and the mattress too soft so wasn't abe to get a decent night's sleep. For what it cost, I would have expected a lot more for my money.
