Homestead Tampa - North Airport - Tampa

A good place to stay if you're low on cash, but hard to find. The lobby is not labeled and there is bery minimal space in the room. I was booked for a queen and was given a double.

Over all the hotel was fine. It needs to be updated. The Staff was helpfull. My first room smelled like cigaret smoke and should have been a non smoking room. The gentleman at the front desk found another room and let me see it before moving me. He was very kind. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and accessing the highway.

If you like a shabby, poorly maintained hotel with a surly staff, this is your place. Picked this hotel because it was very close to the airport and convenient to Steinbrenner Field....you get what you pay for I guess. My room was badly in need of updating, everything in it was old, worn and shabby. The refrigerator banged and clanked so badly I had […] to unplug it every night so I could sleep. When I checked in there were dead cockroaches on the counters and stove top. The drinking glasses were not cleaned. There was no shampoo. When I told the front desk staff about the cleanliness issues and the fridge I was told the room is cleaned once a week. The promised repairman never was seen and the fridge remained unplugged for my entire stay. The girl behind the desk wouldn't even look at me when talking to me, she was too busy on her computer to be bothered with customer service. Incredibly they charge additional for hi-speed internet. There are no amenities and the office staff works truncated hours from 8am to 10 pm. Buyer beware. I would never consider staying here again at any price. Przeczytaj więcej

Our usual hotel near the Tampa airport was booked and this was recommended over the phone because of the location. We arrive in Tampa from the caribbean after midnight and want a good clean hotel near the terminal. I am not fussy but our room was awful. The bathroom cabinets were swollen plywood, the floor were sticky, the bedspread had cigarette burns […] on it and no wifi as advertized. In addition, the hotel was hard to find, but we had seen the comment about its peculiar location off the main road so guided the taxi. Had to wake up the management to get our room key. Day staff was nice. The taxi driver said that the neighborhood was not good and in fact we saw 2 police cars in the parking lot in what appeared to be a stake out. That made us extra nervous. The towels were very thin and had holes in them. I had to ask for toilet paper as there was very little on the roll in the bathroom. The sheets did not look as if they had been changed when I first came to the hotel room. The one blanket was stained and dirty.

Although the hotel is near the highway but it was not obvious and we spent almost 30 minutes trying to find the hotel at night even with the help of GPS and two calls to the hotel. Condition of hotel was not good and no toiletories provided. Bed was uncomfortable too.

MY FAMILY AND I RECENTLY WENT TO STAY IN TAMPA FOR A FIITBALL GAME. I NEEDED TO FIND A HOTEL CLOSE TO THE STADIUM AND HOMESTEAD TAMPA NORTH AIRPORT WAS MY CHOICE. I HAD NO TROUBLE SIGNING IN. I WAS ALSO ABLE TO CHECK IN A COUPLE HOURS BEFORE CHECK IN TIME. I WAS VERY HAPPY. THE ONLY THING THAT I NEEDED WAS A ICE MACHINE. NO ICE MACHINE. This hotel is ok if you just need a place to stay for a day or two. It would be nice though if they put stupid things like a phone book, paper,pen, and a trash can in the room. You can't access the vending area late at night. I did walk around the area and had no issues with feeling safe.

I arrived just before sunset the surrounding area was a little run down and seedy , the property looked ok at first glance but closer inspection shows lots of wear and tear alot of traffic loud plane noise on every takeoff and landing from the airport nearby, road noise was also present from the busy busy streets on two sides the hotel staff was friendly […] and pleasant my room keys didn't work, my door had tape over the mag key slot , causing initial confusion and a extra trip back to the car to lock up bags while i made a return trip back to the lobby to resolve the problem. the room wasn't clean the carpet floor hadn't been vacuumed in weeks or longer? the tile floor had been mopped with a dirty mop and was dirty....all in all it looked beat up and used hard id hate to see it in another year....the door latch was broken ....staff was ok...but hotel made me feel a little creeped out Przeczytaj więcej

Very friendly staff. Rooms have fridge, stove top, and kitchen sink. Bathroom was very clean. Low grade bedding, and comforter needed to be cleaned or replaced. For the price, it was okay. I have stayed in much worse for more money.

My stay was great. The front desk was very accomodating. I ended up staying for four days. It was very clean and quite. I felt I recieved a great deal for the low rate I had. I will stay there again and also recomend it to anyone who is in need of a place to stay that is so affortable. Homestead Suites are really nice like little apartments. I had all […] I needed. The first upsetting issue is wifi was not included. In this day and age it's a given to provide internet access. That started my stay on a negative note. There were light bulbs out, molding missing, and no trash can in the bathroom. The complex looks aged and worn. I was glad my stay was just one night.

The bed was suppose to be a queen side bed but it felt like a full size, I called the front desk to ask for an extra pillow and the desk said no extra pillows their was only 1 drinking cup in the cabinet, no coffe filter to make coffe. I was in room 370, and the people in the corner room were going in and out of their room shutting the door hard. Good location. Next to airport and close to everything. Hotel wasn't a bad expeirence. Room looked clean, yet the housekeepers got a little lazy with a few things (old towel thrown in at the top of the closet and leftover food left in the fridge from previous nights stay). this hotel is good for a place to stay! it does not have anything for entertainment! but having access to a refridge and microwave was very handy. could do without the single club chair in the room that was VERY stained.

i had a wonderful stay. other than the fact i had a hard time finding it at first, i was overwhelmed that the room was so clean and the staff was very friendly. on my next trip, i hope they will have a room for me. great stay.

the hotel stay was excellent but what I'm most pleased with was both the hotel and Hotels.com willingness to accomadate my scheduling problems. On the way to Tampa my vehicle broke down and at the last minute I was able to cancel one night at no added charge. then the next day my car wasn't ready and the did it again. thanks stephen

Convenient to airport yes. A place you would ever want to sleep??????NO Bed Bugs Cockroaches Black mold in tub Never go there!

Please do not book a room at this hotel. Roaches and the room was not clean. Refrigator was filty and dirty. I would suggest staying somewhere else.

Homestead-Tampa easily takes the credit for one of the poorly maintained hotels that i ever stayed-and hopefully, will ever stay again. I just hope my case was an exception. The room that I was assigned was not clean. The coffee maker had dried coffee stains and used up filters. There was some leftover food pieces rotting under the bed with some ants […] around them. The room was dim with poor lighting. The hotel policy is that you'll need to personally turn in the soiled towels at the front-desk to get replacements - in my case, it meant walking almost 2 blocks to get this done! Also, if you need to get any drinking cups or utensils you need to request for and get it from the front desk - which is not open 24 hours. What more, i was counting on the iron box to help me to iron my dress and get to my early morning meeting-but it just woudn't work and couldn't get it replaced as the front desk was closed! Also, the vending machine took my money but failed to vend my drink! And, if you don't have a car you'll regret as there is no restaurant options within walkin distance. Bottomline, having stayed at multiple hotels in the area i feel that one could easily find a lot better accomodation for the money's worth. Przeczytaj więcej

OLDER HOTEL IN NEED OF MODERNIZATION AND SOME REMODELING. HOWEVER,PRICE IS VERY AFFORDABLE!

This was a very disappointing hotel. Very old. No one in the lobby. Not that cheap for the lack of amenities. Better spending $15 more and stay at s Hampton. I do not recommend this hotel

first room we got was unclean and smelled horrible. second was clean but still had a stench.the room had no pots for cooking , we had to go to the front desk to get them. and all the kitchen utensils were broken like a simple can opener.

I never write reviews but want give others a heads up, the hotel room was dirty and disqusting! There was balck pubic hair on the blanket, hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. The tv was very small and the cable was fuzzy. All night you can here the airplanes flying over the hotel. When I had to check-out I couldn't since the office is only […] open during certain hours. I just stayed here one night for work and I would never just sleep here again. This "hotel" was more like a low-income apartment/hotel place. I would never recommend or return to this place. Side note: if you plan on going to eat or to the grocery store you will quickly find the ghetto. I was scared to get out of my car to go into the supermarket to get something to eat. Every single person that worked there was super nice to me. I had to stay there when I moved to Tampa and was searching for an apartment. I had no issues with my dogs and that was important. I also parked a trailer with all my belongings in it on the property and it was never touched. It is close to a major road and the airport so, if you are looking […] for a quiet rest this may not be best location for you. But, the price was reasonable and I would stay there again. I must say I was very disappointed with the hotel policy to have customers bring their used linen, towels and wash clothes to the front office in order to receive clean ones. I stayed 3 days and housekeeping did not come and clean the entire time. However the day of my departure housekeeping knocks on the door 30 mins before check out and says HOUSEKEEPING! […] Are you kidding me? dont ever ever choose this homestead.I always prefer homestead but this was horrible.

The reception was closed due that I get to the hotel past 1am, but there was a nice lady who received me and made the check in for me. They was expecting me with room keys and everything ready. The hotel is old, maybe need some upgrade, but everything was ok and what I was expecting for the price. It's ok for family and/or couples visiting tampa.

This place was filthy. The carpet made my white socks black. The top of the refrigerator (which anyone over 5'9" can see) was covered in nastyness and dust. The bathroom floors looked like they had pubic hair all over them. The toilet smelled like sewage, and I found a lizard in the sink (at least this one was funny and being from Florida I can forgive […] it). This hotel is in Town N Country which isn't the safest place in Tampa anymore (sad to see my childhood home go downhill), and this hotel seemed to house a "family" of about 5 guys between the ages of 19 - 30 that stood outside the door at all hours and seemed really interested every time a car pulled up (one would pop out whenever a car came into the area) making myself and a few others pretty uncomfortable. The location is convenient and quiet. There are many restaurants in the areathat offers a variety of foods.

Great location for where I was going. Parking was great, right in front of the room. It was a smoking room with no ashtrays. No trashcan, soap or shampoo. Got in late and left very early so was only there for about 5 hours and didn't have the time or energy to get these things corrected. So do not know the quality of actual service with this hotel.
