Comfortable 'economy' hotel. More suited to folks who prefer a quieter stay. Location is 2 miles north of the buzz of the south beach area. Attentive staff, clean comfortable 'basic' accommodation. Wifi a little weak for those who rely on good connectivity.

I stay in a lot of hotels and have found thru trial and error that the Holiday Inn's provide the best beds second to none. I had never stayed at the Miami Beach resort, but for the price and location I chose Holiday Inn. I am so glad we did. I would highly recommend this hotel. The drinks were great and at a reasonable prices compared to South Beach. […] The pool area was very nice, we especially liked the hammocks that were in partial shade. Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. In general, the staff at the front desk were hospitable; the hotel was clean and comfortable; and even the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. Would highly recommend.

The staff was very accomodating especially kimberly by the breakfast buffett, really went out of her way to a help us out. Location is excellent, the condition of the hotel is less then expected and the fact that the windows are nailed shut is really a bummer since you are on the water and would love to have fresh air.

I,ve changed apt 3 times in the same week because all showers doesn't work! My last time in Holiday Inn (I stayed 6x before that).

Maybe be a bit older than some of the newer hotels, but for the money it's a bargain. Use the valet parking options. Price difference is $4 and well worth having you car pulled around front for a few extra dollars in tip.

Great Price. Stayed at 3 hotels in Miami Beach best bang for the buck and exceptional customer service. I will return next month.

Came to Miami Beach for the Orange Bowl (Let's Go Mountaineers!). Service at front desk was great, asked for a king room instead of the 2 double beds I had booked. Unfortunately there were no king rooms available facing the ocean (room type booked) but the friendly check-in staff upgraded my wife and I to a suite on the 11th Floor (PH). Room had ample […] space, great ocean views. Hotel overall was clean, pleasant. Only downside that gives hotel a 4 instead of a 5 is the food service staff. They seemed a little rude to both my wife and I for breakfast. Exception being the bartender at the poolside bar. We ordered some food and it took way longer than expected, but he was friendly, apologetic and brought us 2 bottles of water with our food for free when he came to deliver it. With that said, I would still recommend this hotel for staying in Miami Beach. Location is decent as you can take a bus or cab down to South Beach and convenient to get to/from Miami Airport. very quiet for resting, walking distance from the beach. Room looks old.

OK place to stay, quite good breakfast, generally friendly staff. Not so nice rooms, windows could not be opened.

Stayed there for the weekend, and really liked it! Staff are very pleasant, hotel conditions are great!

This is a mixed review. The beach and boardwalk location was relaxing and pleasant, but it is a long way from the night life of Miami Beach. The room was clean and mostly comfortable, but there was an annoying whine from machinery operating below us, the windows were screwed shut and the Fire Door would not quite close without an extra push and it had […] rust. The people were very good and clearly wished to please and the appearance of the lobby was nice. The pool and the hot tub were also attractive and inviting. We were able to block most of the whine with the curtains fully closed, but I like the view of the moon over Miami. In summary, the people and the positives outweigh the negatives and I would recommend the hotel, however, all it would take would be a few thoughtful upgrades to equipment and windows along with some maintenance to step the hotel up a level. arrived from london and they gave me a free upgrade of my room to a ocean see front view room and we had a amazing time there

I stayed here while attending a conference that was at the Fontainebleau. The hotel is conveniently located a block away from the Fontainebleau, and is MUCH less expensive, plus had some nice extras - wine and cheese in the afternoon, free wi-fi in the room and in the lobby and pool area, and a program to replace toiletries you forgot to bring such […] as toothpaste, razor, etc. for free. It had a nice pool area, and was right on the beach. (It didn't have a hot tub, though - that would have been nice.) The room was nicer than what I expected for a Holiday Inn, with a nice tile floor and very large oval tub in the bathroom, and views of the ocean from my room. The fitness center was pretty lame - a small room with only one treadmill and a couple of weight machines. But who needs a fitness center when you can go for a walk or run on the beach! So I wasn't too bummed out about that. The staff was friendly and helpful - they gave me a free Coke from the gift shop after the vending machine ate my money and didn't give me the drink. Located right next to the beach with the boardwalk at the back only seperating from the hotel to the beach. Room was lovely and clean and spacious, airy and light. On the 7th floor- nice and quiet. Staff were polite and could not do enough for you. Pool area a good size with pool towels available and an outside bar. We ate buffet breakfast( at the time […] in with the deal) which is superb with extensive choice. Hotel is about 30 min leisrely walk down to the lincoln road area where shops bars and restaurants are or you can take local bus which you get at Collins ave and only a couple of dollars. Although the hotel is located in a pleasant area, on the whole it needs some major renovations such as replacing the carpets and painting the walls. Ceilings look unpleasant and terrible and quite frankly, I would not recommend this hotel to many people.

The Holiday Inn Hotel is located on the ocean, several miles to the north of the main action at South Beach. The location was fine for us, as we were just a short cab ride away from all of the action. The hotel does have beach access, however beach chairs and umbrella's or valet parking were not included in the base price. We got a room with an ocean […] view on the tenth floor and the view was marvelous. The hotel room was ok, with a comfortable bed. A minus for the shower, as the water valve required a significant amount of pull force to turn on.. easily could result in a small accident or injury. I had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, and my french toast was brought to me cold. I was allowed to change to the buffet, and that was fine. Stayed here before and after cruise. It was comfy , clean and the beach is amazing. The pool was nice too. It is a short ride away ( 10 min) to south beach where everything is going on. I am glad we stayed here because is was much more relaxing and quiet. We stayed with our two young kids and it was perfect.

Fun, clean, close to South Beach. Parking a nightmare... too expensive. I'd rather self park any day, but that's Collins Ave.! other than that, we had a great time. The tiki bar should stay open later.

Arrived at the hotel last week for a 3 night stay - was informed straight away that the parking is not the advertised $18 a night valet and in fact $25 a night. Very misleading - be warned. Staff not overly helpful around this. Room wasnt ready to check in until 16:30. Room very small but adequete. Although did smell of smoke (whole hotel is non smoking). […] This did pass after a day or so. Pool was closed for one day during our stay. Not nearly enough sun loungers, and a few broken. So had no choice to go to the beach - which is a short walk - very short and is an amazing beach. Hotel is ok for a stop over but being about a 2-3 mile walk either on the beach/broadwalk or down collins avenue it is not near any restaurants or bars. So taxi everywhere required if you want a drink. Do check out Cantina 27 omn collins for a nice fresh italian bite - about 0.8 miles down collins towards south beach on the left. Lovely food. Had a wonderful stay. Vallet service is quick.The view of the ocean from our room was to die for.

With so many hotels at Miami Beach, we were confused which one to select and settled on Holiday Inn just because we had stayed at Holiday Inns at other places with good experience. This hotel didnt disappoint us either. We booked non smoking oceanfront room and the views of the ocean was just great, If they would have just provided a patio like other […] hotels nearby it would have been perfect. The hotel stands up to its 3 star rating. Everything from the bedding to the room to the toiletries were exceptional.We arrived early around noon ,stored the luggage at the conceirge,head straght to the beach which is right behind the hotel. The beach was mostly clean and we had fun.Returned back collected our keys and luggage and went up to the room for the great views from up above.Swimming pools was also clean but we didnt go there. Why to go to a pool when you have the beautiful ocean right besides.There is a wooden walkway behind the hotel that leads to the beach and its a good place for a casual walk in evening after dinner. Many ppl jog and walk there at morning at evening so ita safe. Overall a very nice stay. One of the major complains we had was parking. There is a parking garage right opposite to the hotel and the prices are just too high. We were told that single day parking with hotel validated ticket is $20 and you could come in and out as many times a day. That was wrong. The parking garage guy at the exit told we were misinformed. Its $20 only if you park for more than 16 hrs straight without taking the car out...if you plan to take the car out for lunch/dinner or to see places around..you have to pay hrly parking rate..We ended up paying hrly rates since we had to take car out for dinner. The location was absolutely wonderful, and the lobby and all the employees (except for one doorman) were fabulous. The room was very comfortable, but it smelled like Fabreeze when we first entered, so we're assuming someone was smoking before us. The carpet was very dirty and we didn't feel comfortable going without shoes in the room itself. Overall I had a nice stay at the hotel. I had an oceanfront king room. The view was absolutely beautiful, I just wish there was a balcony to view it from or floor to ceiling windows would have been nice...but being right on the beach was great. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, furnitiure was in good condition, bathroom was a little small, but […] nice furnishings. My only complaint was the air conditioning was LOUD. Luckily I am a hard sleeper. Also they could upgrade small things, like the ice buckets and cups are plastic. I think the room was a bit over-priced but it was the cheapest oceanfront room that I could find last minute. The valet parking was more expensive than the rates listed online. If you like strong drinks have Leny at the Tiki Bar make you a Mai Tai...yum. The outdoor area was crowded but pretty quiet. I spent most of my pool time down at the eden roc hotel where some friends were staying. Their outdoor area was great...no comparison at the holiday inn. I would recommend the hotel but don't overpay for it. Service is good and the beach is right outside and shops are a short drive away. Out dated hotel in a great location. Service needs to be a lot better to compensate for the old facility. I will look for another hotel nest door when I come back.

When I made the reservation I found no means of explaining that I needed a room for 3 people with 3 beds or two beds and a sofa. That kind of room didn't appear as an option either. When I arrived in the hotel I was told that they have such rooms but that at that moment they were all occupied. A pleasant surprise all around. Service was friendly and very attentive. Room was clean, nicely appointed. Hotel food was modestly priced, and menu was kid friendly. Parking was not an issue, despite my visit on Easter Weekend. Much more than I expected for the price and rating!

I decided to book the Holiday Inn Miami Beach because I was having a hard time selecting a hotel because I didn't know anything about any hotels in Miami. So I figured I couldn't go wrong with a holiday inn but I was expecting no frills. In short , the lobby was beautiful, the room was plain but cozy and comfortable and we had an ocean view. My room on the sixth floor had a terribly strong odor of mold. The smell was so strong that I woke up with a burning sensation in my nose. The carpet in the hall was very dirty and I assumed that one of the maids would vacuum it at some point during the day, but it never was. We had to change rooms and found the second room to have a faint odor but […] not one that bothered me. Our friends stayed at a small hotel, the Circa 39, and that hotel had better rates, clean rooms, and even included beach chairs. I'll stay there next time or someplace closer to Lincoln Road. Very nice hotel. I should say perfect for the price. On the beach. Right in the middle of miami beach. We took a cab down to south beach- was about $15 tip included, one way.

This was our first visit to Miami Beach. I was very concerned about going during Spring Break, as we have all heard stories. However, our experience was great. All the problem children were down in South Beach. The Holiday Inn is on 43rd street and well away from the crowds. There were mostly business people and families at the hotel. This provided […] a nice relaxing place to stay. Also, there is no pool side bar. So, that really cut down on that type of party atmosphere. Unfortunately, this also meant that it was also well away from all the restaurants and/or other attractions. We had to get into the car and drive down to South Beach several times for food. There is a restaurant in the hotel, where we ate breakfast most days. Thirty to forty five dollars for three people seems like a lot to me. Never the less, it was the basic going rate for this tourist area. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. We did have one experience with Spring Breakers, who checked into the room next to us. After about 6 hours of listening to their music through the walls, I called the front desk and asked if someone would speak with them. The hotel staff (including a security officer) responded immediately. They handled it quickly and professionally, including patrolling the area throughout the night. Being rated as a 3 star hotel, I was expecting something a bit dated and run down. We were surprised by how up to date the rooms and hotel public areas were upon arrival. It is very nice. We were on the 10th floor and had a picture perfect view of the ocean. The beds were decent, the furnishings nice. Everything was clean and orderly. I did have one bad experience with the otherwise polite and responsive cleaning staff. The next day she was gone. Parking is an issue on Miami Beach. Although there is a parking deck across the street, we chose the valet parking. It was five dollars more a day and the staff was quick and courteous. Things we would have liked to have seen. With a beautiful, large pool area, a 50' walk to the beach and boardwalk, we enjoyed our visit. Only a short drive to several fantastic restaurants and a nice 2.5 mile walk or run to Ocean Drive, we'd stay her again. The beds were unusually comfortable, the rooms updated and the staff helpful. The only two minor drawbacks was the air conditioner thermostat […] that was either on or off (you couldn't control the actual temperature) and the water saving shower head that produced a tiny stream of water...but I didn't come to South Beach for the shower! Definitely worth considering if you're looking for a nice place right ON the beach. (Oh, and bring plenty of cash, the poolside beers are $7.50 and drinks are $10 PLUS a mandatory 15% gratuity.) Let’s begin with the good: Great location on Collins. Easy access to the beach and highways out of town. Food services staff were very polite, food was above average. Buffet hours were very accommodating as well. I stayed for 7 days as a family of 4 so we should be the ideal customer to receive good service, however: Bad Arrived to find that there is […] no self parking, said it was full. They muscle you into the valet. They tell you that even if it was available if you self park it will be $25 and you will have no “in and out” privileges. Both valet and self parking rate at the hotel are far more expensive than the listing on Hotels.com. Got to our room only to find that the air conditioning didn’t work. Had to argue with maintenance to convince him that having a thermostat stuck on 72 degrees in Miami’s high humidity was not acceptable. Got a new room with working AC. Elevators are not programmed. So even though there are only 10 floors expect to wait 20 minutes to use them…not kidding… The hotel does not rent out DVD players, and none are provided in the rooms, so per the advice of the front desk I bought one from a nearby store. However when I called to have maintenance help to use it on the room TV the Hotel manager said that I could not because since they sold Pay Per View programming having a DVD player would be counter intuitive to the hotels business. He was rather rude and unpleasant, made me feel like I was in his home as a guest and should be happy he let me in. Overall the hotel seemed to be a 2 and a half star to me. It was a bit dated. Rooms were 2 star rating to me as well. As far as value I really regretted the stay and wish that I selected another hotel for the price. After the hidden expenses ($30 per day for valet and other fee’s) I could have stayed at a hotel for a bit more per night and still in the end paid less for the stay. We were surprised by the good standard of the hotel for this prise. Good location near the beach but in the northern part were it is not so croudy. Got a double bed room which was very good for us and our two children. The only complain is the noice from the fan, but we could turn it off to get rid of it.
