We thought that the hotel was expensive. The room was a bit tatty round the edges, and noisy due to it being on the road, and with noisy aircon and fridges. I really enjoyed our stay at the Key Lime Inn. My girlfriend had never been to Key West before, and she was extremely happy with the Inn. We had a cottage which was very clean and maintained. The hotel is soo cute and in a great neighbor - so easy to walk to Duval street. The pool was great and the breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. After seeing all the local sights and being on the go both day and night, the Key Lime Inn was an oasis of relaxing and charming peace and quiet. It is within walking distance of Duval and the Hemingway House. It has a breakfast by the pool or a charming retro Denny's for a late breakfast three blocks away. We stayed at Christmas and went to Midnight […] Mass across the street at St. Mary, Star of the Sea. Too awesome! We had a small private patio with seating and a canopy of bright pink bougeanvilla. We walked every where we went so we parked the car when we got there and didnt need it to get anywhere. If you have younger kids it might be a far walk to get […] to Mallory Square but you can drive a couple of blocks and park for free on a side road or pay to park to get closer. Went for a two night stay down to Key West with a friend for a "girls weekend" and completely enjoyed this adorable hotel. Very charming and "key west." Great location, two blocks from Duval at about the midpoint of the long strip. We had one of the little cottages (there are only three), which is a little more private and distinctive than the other […] rooms. Pool was not massive but there was plenty of lounge chairs and enough shade. The breakfast was very basic and we chose to eat out instead both mornings. The onsite parking is free and convenient, which is an added rare bonus for the keys. The bathroom was very tiny, but for two, it worked. My only major complaint is that the bed and pillows were by far the worst I've ever slept on...like rocks. Had it not been for pure exhaustion from the walking and swimming all day, we would have never fallen asleep. Overall, I really enjoyed this quaint hotel and would definately try it again, especially at their reasonable prices for being in a great location in Key West. We booked our hotel through this website and were quoted at one price. When we went to check in they said that this website had made a mistake and told us we had to pay $20 extra per night. They had us by the short hairs as we had no recourse as we needed a place to stay. We even showed the hotel personnel the printed quote but they still would not […] honor the quoted price. "Key Lime Inn - excellent location"
Key Lime was in a good central location, walking distance to everything. No car needed. The swimming pool area where we had breakfast is very nice. We stayed in one of the little cabins which were spacious and had all the amenities. However, the air conditioner is very loud and we had to turn it off for sleeping. The sink is just outside the bathroom […] and the doors opens right into it so a little manoevering needed. The bed was ok but not as comfortable as as some other hotels we stayed at. "Key Lime Inn- Cute hotel except for the small room"
My wife and I stayed there February 20-23. It was our first time in Key West. It is a cute little hotel and the service was fine. However, the basic room (#31) was small and the bed was not the most comfortable. The room also had a mustiness that bothered my wife's allergies. The windows did not open in the room. They give you a basic continental breakfast. […] The location is okay, toward the quieter end of Duval St. Our overall experience was okay, but we will consider another hotel option on our next trip. the bad...trainee forgot to call us when room was ready...toilet flapper valve leaked and toilet kept filling up...however you couldn't hear it because of the window shaker (a/c)...brought back a pizza to room and had to eat it off the bed..not even a 2' round table in room..quite pricey.. but that's Key West.....on the good side...nice location, quiet […] and fairly near downtown....nice pool...the grandfather clock at the Catholic church sounds awesome echoing over the neighborhood....
