Thie hotel lived up to a 5/5 rating. Clean, great breakfast, professional helpful staff, and location near shopping and restaurants, easy communte -11 miles from downtown.

This was my 4th stay here. As usual, the staff was nice from the front desk to housekeeping. Breakfast was good...they actually have meat--not just cereal and pastries. It's in he middle of everything but the quiet cul-de-sac is perfect for a restful trip.

I've stayed here 4 times since December 2011 and have never had a problem with the room, staff, or anything else. The rooms are comfy. Breakfast is good and actually includes meat..not just cereal and bread. Everything's clean, and everyone has been friendly and helpful from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Very clean

I liked my stay, but I was not informed that the whirlpool was closed and that was the main reason why I picked this hotel.

I liked the hotel and amenities but the bed was very lumpy and the pillows were half size and my head kept rolling off them all night.

The hotel was "A" rated experience. Front desk was friendly...professional. Room was very cleaned and well designed. The food was good in presentation...but, the temperature of food was not up to B.O.H. requirements I believe it should be 140-150 degrees. it was much less than that. Being next to the mall...traffic was horrendous...not the motel fault...seem […] like the city was not up to par with street planning. We stayed here briefly driving from Charlotte to Columbia, just wish we'd had more time. Very pleasant service and quick check in. Room and bathroom very comfortable and clean. Super comfy bed! Would definitely stay again.

I was very please with the staff. The only complaint I would have is when I was in the room in the afternoon I was diisrupted several times with the slamming the doors and the housekeeper came back to check on the towels if we had enough I told her yes. Great location. Traffic on Harbison is horrible but the hotel was awesome!

The room itself is very large! The bed is really comfy. The only complaint and it not a big one...the bathroom was kind of small. I mean the room is SO big! The bathroom could have been better. There were plenty of items to choose from at breakfast. There is a bar literally right next door so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving. Nice clean hotel across the driveway from the Columbiana Mall. Many restaurants in area. 2 mins from highway.

The hotel was very well maintained! The outside is attractive. The room was spacious, comfy, and clean. The staff was nice and the free breakfast actually included meat! It's also by a huge mall and plenty of places to eat. I definitely got more bang than I expected for my buck!

Polite staff however, my room had a horrible smell. The room had the smell of a nursing home.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was not soft enough for me and the pillows were too soft, but all and all... my stay was a good. Great location! Right next to the Columbiana Mall.

Have stayed here before. Close to USC and all shopping/restaurants. Clean hotel, full breakfast and excellent service.

The hotel was awesome. The only issue I have was the whirlpool being closed in with all of the chlorine in the whirlpool leaving our eyes to be burning within five minutes of enjoying the whirlpool. The staff was awesome and my boys had a great time!! I'll come back again. The rates were reasonable as well.

Hotel was very nice, clean, and in a good location. Very close to a mall and many restaurant choices. The bed was comfortable but Lind of sagged in the middle, overall I enjoyedy stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Killed 3 ants on the wall the minute I walked into the room but tolerated it because things like that happen. Went to take a shower and the bar and bottle of soap from the previous person was still in the shower, pretty disguisting. They were accomodating and asked if I wanted to move rooms but it was 11:30 at night and I had to be up a 4:30 so what's […] the point. Should have moved, more ants came out during the night. We got an excellent price compared to the others close by... and the hotel offered: happy hour pizza and drinks that evening, a small workout room, jacuzzi, pool, and a room to conduct business with a fax machine, computer, etc. My daughter and I were very pleased to find a mall plus other shopping/eating choices close by. Breakfast was always eggs, sausage, and sausage gravy for biscuits. Waffles available. They also served coffee 24/7, which is important to me. Room was clean. The cleaner forgot to refill the nose tissues but otherwise was fine. The best seemed very comfortable. Easy to sleep. Last night there were screaming kids next door.

We have never stayed is a hotel in Columbia because we lived there for the past 13 years, but now that we have moved away we needed a clean comfortable convenient hotel for our visit to Columbia. The Wingate by Wyndham had all of that and more for us. The staff was friendly and helpful and went way above the call of duty to make our stay even better […] than we expected it to be! The pool has a very private feel to it and was clean and crisp and invigorrating. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to any location in Harbison; in fact we didn't even rent a car while we were there. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone including our best friensds! Pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. It's located right beside a large mall and eateries, but was quiet. No problems encountered. Breakfast was more than adequate! We have stayed at this hotel two times now. the staff is terrific! the front desk staff was really helpful and the cleaning staff was very respectful and did a terrific job. The location is great. right in the middle of great shopping and close to columbia. negative comments: the hotel is starting to show its age a bit, the eggs at the breakfast were […] not too tasty (powdered I guess), the exercise facility equipment is circa 1985. Hotel is in a great location next to the mall with many restaurants nearby. It is less than 10 miles and an easy ride back and forth to the university campus. Room was a nice size and had a sitting area. Outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. Full hot breakfast each morning. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

The staff at this hotel could not have been any better. They were helpful with questions and requests. They were also very nice and patient with my 2 and 5 yr olds. Very close to everything we wanted; lots of restaurants, stores, and the major highways. Just an easy 10-15 minutes from Fort Jackson, our major destination as our son graduated from Basic Training. The Wingate Hotel was conveniently located near shopping malls and restaurants. We were there for the graduation exercises at Ft. Jackson (about a 25 minute drive away). The hotel was just what we expected and desired on our time away. The staff was very accommodating and the complimentary breakfast was better than most other hotels. We had a pleasant experience.

I have left a headband lamp in my room and when I called, they told me that it was not there (I even know where I have left it exactly). Not at all what I expected for a 3 1/2 star hotel.
