Blue Rainbow Aparthotel Edinburgh Royal Garden - Edynburg

It was a very comfortable hotel and is close to sights, but Edinburgh is not easy to walk with all the hills. Which is not the hotels fault, obviously. It was nice to have a kitchenette and the staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the bus station and a shopping mall as well. Overall a very good experience.

This hotel is so conveniently close to everything you need in Edinburgh. The apartments are clean and spacious!!! The beds are comfy and the staff are super friendly! There's a Tesco 2 mins walk from the hotel if you want to cook your own food but we found great restaurants all around the hotel! Our stay in Edinburgh was fantastic! We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and we were very happy with the experience. We had a premium room and each room was pristine, with lots of nice small touches: robes, rose on the bed, milk and cereal, juice. The shower was very powerful which was great and it was nice to have a separate room for the kitchen/lounge to relax in. Clean and large. Good water pressure. Bonus cereal, juice, etc (our milk was missing though). Friendly staff. Decent location.... with great places to eat 2 blocks away down Queens Street. Hard to find initially. Parking at the nearby parking deck is expensive. Mattress was a little tired... but other than that a nice place to stay.

Excellent in all respects, first class accommodation, very helpful staff.

My husband at I stayed for 3 nights in the Blue Rainbow apartments at the end of November 2011. We had a really lovely stay, and would definitely recommend the apartments to others. We stayed in a Premium apartment, and thought it was an excellent standard. On arrival we were shown to our room, but having requested a quiet room we were actually looking […] out over the main road (which is quite busy). We asked the management if they could change this, and after an hour or so they moved us to Floor 5 (apartment 526...definitely recommend!) which was much quieter (overlooking the garden) and more spacious than the previous 4th floor apartment. High points: lots of space, kitchen was great for cooking a simple meal, bed was comfy, TV was huge, quiet, clean, warm, close to shops/restaurants/cafes/pubs/attractions, Sainsburys local round the corner. Brilliant location- close to Princes Street- we got an upgrade to a superior apartment for no particular reason- very spacious- breakfast was left on the worktop (we didn't expect this)- like coffee/tea sachets- packets of cereal- milk in the fridge- orange juice- large TV- internet access-lovely dining table all set out with dishes, cutlery, glasses, […] etc- two comfy settees-all kitchen utensils-microwave-dishwasher-oven-the bedroom was lovely-chocolates on arrival-plastic rose was a bit naff- super thick fluffy towels- white bathrobes-everything you might need in the bathroom-the bed was comfy and you could easily adjust the heating controls in the lobby-the view from the windows was lovely-gardens on one side and the national portrait gallery on the other side- shame we were only staying one night- much better than staying in a hotel- very clean and comfortable- friendly staff- very obliging- let us leave our bag after we checked out- highly recommended and all for a very reasonable price- close to the bus station too. Blue Rainbow Aparthotel was a great place to spend a night on our recent trip to Edinburgh. The room was comfy although a little dated, but the bed itself was to die for! As you would normally expect, the room was effectively a one bed flat with all the mod cons that you might need. Even though breakfast is not advertised, they provide orange juice, […] milk, weetabix, muesli, kellogg's cereal and some oatmeal cake in your room on your arrival. Staff were cheerful and always helpful. The hotel also offers free storage of your luggage both before checkin as well as after checkout - great for those who wish to continue exploring the city before their onward travel. Our stay in the Blue Rainbow apartments was excellent. The receptionist was extremely couteous and helpful, the accomodation was clean and near the centre of the city. We are planning another weekend stay with friends and will book in again this time in a 2 bedroom apartment.

I had the good fortune of finding this at an amazing rate. Would normally be outside my budget. I was very impressed witht the standard of accommodation and this has been my most comfortable stay in Edinburgh ever which includes many 4* hotels. Very pleasant staff and warm welcome.

Initial disappointment that our requested "quiet" room was right above a noisy road (525) and we couldn't be moved until the next day. New room (630) was much better although the kitchen and bathroom were looking rather tired, especially around floor level. Comfortable bed and living room and a good price for staying so close to the centre (shops 5 […] mins, station less than 10). Clean, comfortable spacious apartment with nice view. Good location in Newtown and within walking distance to Royal mile and train station, about 10 minutes. Staff were very helpful. Room fully stocked and serviced on arrival, and a few breakfast items provided, nice kitchen, daily servicing was available at an extra cost but we didn't bother.

We've stopped just for one night, having 6th floor apartment with stunning views. Room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Apartment was cosy and pleasant with bedroom, living room and kitchen annex and good size bathroom. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. Brilliant for long or short stay in Edinburgh! Totally recommended.

Stayed at Blue Rainbow with my 3 teenage kids, Fantastic location,short walk from Princes St and Waverly Station, 5 mIns from Royal Mile. Quite a schlep from the Waverly station to the hotel, especially if you're pulling a suitcase. Nobody could be found at check-in when we arrived and the receptionist was slightly rude. Bedroom was big as was the living/dining area. Sofa unfortunately was showing its age but the big flat screen tv was definitely a treat. Quite a treat to have milk […] and bread in the fridge. How much do these things cost anyway? All hotels should do this! Very inconvenient to get to the room from the reception area everyday. It's at least a 5 min walk. Lift broke down when we had to check out so it was no fun hoisting the luggage down 3 flights of stairs. Appreciated the free laundry facilities and there are free maps at the reception area. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our apartment was huge - tonnes of space for 4 people - 2 bedrooms with double beds and a fold out double sofabed in the living room. One bedroom even had a full en-suite. On check in receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, laughing and joking etc. She told us of bars and restaurants and stuff near the hotel. […] In the apartment there was a breakfast basket with some cereals, biscuits, tea coffee, sliced pan, milk, etc. nice touch. Full kitchen including dishwasher. We didn't coook in the apartment as we ate in restaurants but cooking would have been very easy and convenient! Beds were very very comfy. Location of the hotel is great. 2 min walk to princes st, bars and restaurants near. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Edinburgh - which is a great city! Thanks Blue Rainbow! Extremely friendly staff with lovely spacious rooms and a fantastic television for relaxation. Location was ideal and a walk away from everything

We had booked an executive suite and were on the 6th floor with great views (although the lift only goes to the 5th floor so the last 2 flights of steep stairs may be too much for some older people). Comfy bed, very clean with some nice little touches such as chocolates on the pillows and a good selection of flavoured teas (not sure about the plastic […] red roses on the bed though!!). Would have benefitted from a couple of lamps in the lounge room to save us having to move 1 out of the bedroom. Perfect location for anywhere in Edinburgh- felt like we had our own home from home in the centre of town. Only downside was that we couldn't check in till 5pm due to housekeeping staff shortages (not great when we had to get ready to leave by 5.45). Would still recommend it to others though. good location & friendly staff. except you have to go through a lot of doors to get to your room. The hotel is re-painting. Therefore, the paint smell is unbearable.

Perfect accomodation for our weekend stay. 5 minutes walking distance from Princes Street, plenty of room for entertaining the family. Blue Rainbow, Royal gardens will definitely be where we book for our next visit to Edinburgh.

Royal Garden Hotel was a marvelous facility. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. The complimentary laundry service and cocktail hour were very special perks. The staff was most attentive and gave us much information about sights in Edinburgh. I'm hoping to return to Royal Garden Apartments and I heartily endorse it to all.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Gardens. The room was very large & a great value for the money. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Good location. A little street noise at night.

This place is great. Free muffins and fruit in the morning. Free glass of wine early evening. Very central location. Clean spacious rooms with well equipped kitchens. I do a fair bit of travelling and could not find fault with this place - Excellent value - Excellent service.

Was very impressed by our room - not cheap but definitely worth it if you feel like shelling out a little more for something special. The view was lovely - overlooking the mountains and harbour inlet of Edinburgh. The staff were very keen to help and we had everything we needed. I have stayed in many hotels in Edinburgh but this was the best! Beautiful building, lovely spacious rooms, as central to the city as you can get yet away from the noise of they city. Nice location. Just a few minutes from center or station of Edinburgh. All staff in the hotel is very helpful and friendly. We could have water and breakfast for free. Room is very practical and suitable for long stay. It is really like a home.

Our one bedroom apartment was well stocked and faced a quiet back garden. We had a brand new copy of The List magazine in our room as well as a great restaurant guide. The light breakfast and tea and coffee machines in the lobby are a nice touch. A great find, especially if you plan a long stay in Edinburgh.

Ingen rengjøring, nye håndkler eller seper. Vi gav beskjed flere ganger, men ingenting skjedde selv om de noterte det. 4. kveld fikk vi beskjed at det bare ble gitt nye håndkler etc. 1 gang i uken! Det var litt lite på hotell, og dette var det ikke opplyst om.

Kjempeflott opphold for tre venninner i en super leilighet i dette Hotellet. Grei pris og flott beliggenhet.

Suosittelen kaikille Edinburghiin matkaaville. Erinomainen hinta-laatu suhde. Erittäin ystävällinen ja auttavainen henkilökunta, siisti ja tilava huoneisto ja erinomainen sijainti. Kaikki nähtävyydet ja palvelut kävelyetäisyydellä. Aion matkustaa Edinburghiin toistekkin ja yöpyä Aparthotel Edinburghissa.

Værelset var af ældre dato, og det så ud til, at det var længe siden der fx var blevet tørret støv af. Der virkede generalt støvet, og som om det var flere uger siden værelset sidst var blevet gjort rent. På døre og andre steder var der gamle pletter fra tidligere gæster. Selvom det var en stor lejlighed skal den vel gøres ordentligt rent?! I den ene […] af sengebordsskufferne i soveværelset lå der gammelt slikpapir fra tidligere gæster. Badeværelserne var gamle og slidte og trænger til fornyelse. På det ene badeværelse, virkede badet ikke særlig godt, og det var svært at få et bad med vand, der havde en ensartet temperatur. Møblerne var slidte og bar tydelige spor af slitage. Vi finder et andet sted og bo næste gang, vi besøger Edinburgh. Przeczytaj więcej

Vi var fyra tjejer i mogen ålder som hade en 80-90 kvm stor lägenhet med fullt utrustat kök, två sovrum, två badrum och vardagsrum. Perfekt om man vill umgås och ändå kunna ha lite privat utrymme. Trevligt med frukost i kylskåpet vid ankomst. Perfekt läge och trevlig personal. Rekommenderas!

Kanon hotell till bra pris mitt i Edinburgh. Buss stationen 200m. Pubbar, matbutik, shopping alldeles runt hörnet. Underbar stad med härligt uteliv och sevärda byggnader. Skön atmosfär. Ta gärna en tripp till Glenkinchi destillerit som ligger ca 1,5 timma bort med lokalbuss 44B. Hotellet kan verkligen rekommenderas. Standard över vår förväntan! Perfekt […] för alla. Kanon sängar, bra badrum, umgängesdel med både fullutrustat kök samt soffor samt stor LCD TV med alla möjligheter. Frukost första dagen stod redan i kylskåpet! Mycket tervlig personal i receptionen. Vi var ett grabbgäng på 8 pers som hade ett par mycket trevliga dagar i Edingurgh. Tips, från flyget ta tåget mot Glasgow och be om att få köpa biljett för tåg ända till Edinburgh, halva priset. Godt leilighetshotell sentralt i Edinburgh. Passet oss (ektepar i 50-årene) perfekt som utgangspunkt for å se nærmere på byen. Rolig område og høy standard.

Dejlig lejlighed med høj standard og alle faciliteter beliggende ed siden af stor park, kun 3 min. til centrum Supergod betjening. Kan varmt anbefales.

The location of the hotel was very good, and the staff was really nice and helpful. We did like our stay, although everything wasn't quite as expected. The Gallery opposite the hotel was in renevation and the views could have been better. We got a large 2 bedroom apartment with a sleeping coach in the living room. Plenty of room! Just a few minutes walk from Princess street. Recommended!
