My room was not ready when I arrived so I was upgraded to a better room, which included free internet - that was good news when you know how much they charge for internet in HK hotels... However, I found it slightly worn out and old for such a high-end hotel, and I believe they should plan a renovation soon if they want to keep up with all new high-end hotels bursting in HK. I went to the swimming pool at night and that was a pleasant surprise as I did not know it was a rooftop one. It is clean and of a decent size for HK. We are regular Langham clients but it was out first stay in Hong Kong. The hotel smelt wonderful, we both said we felt like we were coming home. The shower was fantastic, the room comfortable and quiet. We had a smaller room than usual but were pleased with how spacious it was. We had no complaints. We ate in house and the food and service was excellent. […] I was impressed with the gym - one of the best hotel workout spaces I have ever used, light, airy and a reasonable amount of space. The pool area was also lovely. We spent several quiet hours there. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a break from the craziness and consumerism of downtown Kowloon. Fantastic hotel with superb service, elegant decor, lovely spacious rooms (relative to HK standards) with King beds and generous amenities including free WiFi in room. Service (from doormen to front desk) was exemplary - friendly, efficient, professional and very prompt. The staff anticipated our needs rather than wait for us to ask. First time visitor to the langham and was thoroughly impressed with hotel and staff. If I could take the housekeeping with me on all my trips it would always be excellent experience all the time. I had never stayed at a Langham hotel before but will now seek them out. The rooms were lovely, well done, and elegant, if a bit traditional. We were impressed with the size and niceness - full sized tub with windows that opened into the rest of the room, great desk space, comfortable bed, and plenty of closet/drawer space. I could not falter this hotel. The staff bent over backwards to assist with every request and an added bonus was that the staff spoke very good english. "Loving the Langham in HK"
Recently stayed 2 night at The Langham on Peking Road on the way home from Europe. The Hotel is in a great location for dining and shopping, and only a quick few minutes walk to the Star Ferry to access Central HK. The MRT Station is across the road, and we caught a Taxi to Mongkok Ladies markets from Hotel for the equivilant of $20USD. The dining options […] offered in the Hotel were of a high standard - we enjoyed the breakfast buffet (wide choice of western and asian dishes), the on-site Michelen starred Chinese, Tang Court (really recommend the Peking Duck!!), and the Main Street Deli for a more casual meal (beware of the HUGE portion sizes! Sharing an entree and a main meal between couples would be a good option here). Really recommend. Only thing missing would be a lovely view from the rooms - its buildings only!
