"Convenient stop during a long trip south"
This was a great value for the price! Free wifi, nice breakfast, friendly staff. We came back on our return trip, same good impression!
"Nice Place To Stay"
When making our annual visit to Winchester, we always stay at the Wingate. The rooms are spacious and clean and desk service is prompt and inviting. Very convenient for shopping and both fast food and better restaurants. The included breakfast is adequate at best but for no charge - not to complain.
"Wingate never lets me down"
I stay at the Winchester Wingage often and I am never disappointed. The rooms are very comfortable (but DO avoid the smoking rooms at all costs) and the staff is friendly and helpful. Rates are reasonable and the location close to the highway as well as the University, the mall and plenty of restaurants.

Great hotel...very friendly service. 2 probs--1 treadmill broken (always an inconvenience) AND a pool light detached from socket under water. This gave us the heebee jeebees, and we got out quickly. they said the current was turned off, but still...that would be a shocking end to the stay! Otherwise, great hotel...make sure pool is open.

"The Wingate in WInchester, VA - Very nice!"
I travel to Winchester often and always stay at the Wingate. I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the hotel and pleased that it is reasonably priced as well. It is now pet-friendly, another plus.

The Winchester Wingate is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are good-sized, and the price was reasonable. The breakfast is pretty standard fare; although, they could provide a better fresh fruit selection. We were disappointed that the pool was out of commission the weekend of our visit. "Great Hotel"
This hotel was great! We had a really good experience in this hotel and they had a wonderful indoor pool that my children loved! Will stay here again!
"Wingate- Winchester Virginia"
Overall this was a fair hotel was very disappointed it the swimming pool- smelled of mold and midew picked this hotel for that emenity then didn't even want to get in it. Thought it would be as wonderful as Windaham- Lexington Virginia but it was not. Rooms were nice and the location was great.

"WINGATE BY WYNDHAM LET DOWN"
We booked at the Wingate by Wyndham because of the wonderful experience we had in Erie, PA. 2/16/12 ..This hotel was clean and inviting and I wanted some of the pent up energy my 3 kids had to be wore off in the pool before retiring to our room. This place was not up to par. We had stayed there about 3 years ago I believe and it was better then. It needs cleaning up and repairs and people to check up on things to make sure they are working. i.e. the toilet was plugged up when we got there and flushed the toilet wiith only water and had to turn off the water so it didn't overflow. "Nice place"
The only 2 things I can say were at all a let down were the room was very dry from the forced hot air heat and the pool area smelled a bit moldy, so much so we decided not to swim the 3 days we were there. Otherwise the place was clean, neat and well attended to.

Great value. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Unfortunately, the indoor pool was out of service (or just never heated.) otherwise, everything else was great about our stay.

Showing its age. Old bedding, old TV, old furniture. Breakfast was average. I'd find a Hampton if I had it to do over again....they're far more consistent than Wingate.

Very enjoyable place to stay with very helpful front desk helping us get around.
I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, and very nicely appointed. We got exactly what we paid for on-line, a non-smoking room with 2 beds. The mattresses where very comfortable. The one drawback was not with the room. I am from an area of the country where there is no smoking in hotels. The hallway had a very faint whiff […] of tobacco that as a non-smoker was noticable. However, I would book this hotel again if I was in the area! Stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel to be really nice and clean, the staff were very friendly and answered all our questions. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety to chose from. We were please to find they offered a breakfast, we did try on both mornings but there was nothing left. We were actually told we needed to get up early to get any. I was really surprise to hear that froma staff member.

Check in went fine. The air conditioner in the room was hard to regulate. It was either too cold or too hot. The alarm clock radio did not work. The employees are very nice. Had a good breaskfast. Near shopping centers and restaurants. Only stayed here one night but the bed was comfortable and the room was rather large. Will stay here again when in the area.
When we booked through hotels.com we booked a deluxe king room. When we went to check in we were informed that they were out of king bed rooms and that we would be getting a room with two double beds. We were informed that we were stuck with the "best available" room although our reservations said otherwise.
