"Economic Lodge in Fultonville - dirt, smells, bugs"
I strongly encourage others to NOT stay at this property. The entire experience was horrible! The lobby smelled of animal waste. The room itself shared the same odor as well as smoke even it was a non smoking room. The lines were soiled. The bathroom clearly had not been cleaned since the previous guest checked out. Bugs were also found crawling along […] the floor and carpet. The checkout experience was frustrating as well. The clerk was untimely in processing the checkout and their was no continental breakfast even though it was well past the start time. Needless to say, I will never return to this hotel. "STOP! Please do not waste your time with this one"
Things went bad from the start here. To start they tried to charge us 20.00 over the price we booked for the room. After that was straightened out we went to our room. Upon entering I knew we had made a mistake. Bright 1970's electric blue rug with stains greeted us. We considered the room and thought it may be good enough for just 1 night as long as […] the kids could spend the time in the pool they advertised. So we went to check out the pool. Imagine our surprise when we found the pool with about 2 feet of black water in it. "Kids..don't unpack its time to go!!" We quickly let them know that this just wasn't gonna work out and drove 10 min. to a Holiday Inn with a very nice room and pool. Would strongly recommend a different motel. "Think Twice"
The hotel operator was very friendly and helpful. Stated that the hotel was currently being remodeled. Our room was not very clean, with food on the floor from another guest. I would try again after about a year and hope that the remodeling had been completed.
