This hotel has a great location, near beach and restaurants. We had travelled down from Orlando and found this very much a city hotel. Pool nice. Reception staff very efficient. It was a little tired but till a nice hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Close to beach and shopping. Clean and quiet. Nice rooms and outdoor environment. Friendly staff. Would recomend to all.

The room was very tiny. My 6'2" husband could barely squeeze around the end of the full size bed. But the service was very nice. The $35 valet was probably not worth it, but the free wi-fi was nice. Overall, for one night it was not a bad experience and we would stay again due to the convenient location between the beach and the Lincoln Mall.

We stayed here on a Saturday night, the location couldn't be better, your 200 yards from south beach. the fire alarm did go off in the middle of the night and stayed on for a couple hours, we were promptly refunded 1/3 of our stay. we also had a problem (confusion) with the valet but it was quickly resolved by the front desk. the room was very comfortable […] but a little small for a double, much larger however then the rooms we had in France. I have been to Miami Beach a couple of times now but this is the best location I have been to so far. It's in the city but also close to the Beach. The room was very clean and our view was towards the pool. The service was very good and everybody was really friendly. Should I come again to Miami Beach for sure I will decide for this hotel again.

Was given the smallest room in the hotel that had no wifi internet service to the room, as their website as promised. The hotel staff refused to do anything to help except the standard cop-out "we apologize for any incovenience" Amazingly, they suggested I sit in the hotel lobby and do my work there if I needed the internet. They refused to move me […] to a different room that would hopefully have better wifi reception. So I would not recommend staying here for business or need a reliable internet connection. Easy access to everything--beach, shopping, restuarants, etc. Room was clean & well maintained.

We felt the breakfast and lunch costs were way too high. The food was prepared well, but the price for what was referred to as the American breakfast was steep for some fruit, English muffins that I had to toast myself, coffee we had to serve ourselves and some eggs. We really enjoyed the pool and the bed was very comfortable.

The Hotel Albion was the perfect hotel for our first visit to South Beach. The hotel architecture reflects the Art Deco period and this theme is carried throughout the property. We first walked in to a very small room that looked "aged" ..Duh ! It IS aged! That was part of the charm! The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable!! The hotel staff was very friendly. This place was great! And in a great location! After reading the previous reviews on this hotel, I was a little nervous to be staying there, but after staying for the weekend I realized that you can only pay attention to some people's reviews. It is about 1 block from the beach, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the infamous South Beach where all the […] restaurants and bars are located. It is surrounded by plenty of tourist-type stores and has multiple restaurants and shops located about 2 blocks away from the hotel. Needless to say, the Albion Hotel is in a great location to many things, depending on what you want to do in Miami. On to the maintenance of the hotel. Of course it was not the Ritz-Carlton or anything, but there was absolutely nothing disgusting about this place. No bugs, no mildew. The only downside was the thin walls. Recommendation: Stay at this hotel, if you can catch it for a good price. But DO NOT eat breakfast at the restaurant of the hotel, it is way too expensive and the food wasn't that great! We had booked a Petite Room (Double bed) for a low price...the room was quite small but it worked out for us. The pool area is really nice and is open 24 hours. It's within walking distance to all of the places we wanted to go to Lincoln Road and we were able to park our rental car a few blocks away in Zone 2, thanks to temp parking passes from friends. […] The room was quiet and we didn't hear our neighbors at all.I would definitely stay here again, but wouldn't book the petite room. In all my years, I have never seen a hotel that does NOT have a coffee maker. When we tried to get a pot of coffee, we were told that it would be $12. I am sure that even the Motel 6 have coffee makers. A coffee maker is so cheap to provide. This ruined the entire experience.

The Albion is in a great location, one block from the great shops and restaurants on Lincoln Road, one block from city transportation, and two blocks from the ocean. It has the "old art deco" charm missing in the larger chain hotels. I highly recommend it on your next visit.

The location was perfect for parking the car once and walking everywhere: the beach, the bars, and the Lincoln pedestrian mall. We (a couple) stayed one night in the petite double room. It was certainly small but we had all the amenities we needed for a short stay and they made great use of a small space--the bathroom especially.

We stayed here one night before leaving on a cruise. The neighborhood is great and it is fairly convenient to restaurants, only it is a little on the north end. The room was WAY over priced for a FULL (not a queen) sized bed. We could barely walk around it. I expect a small room in Europe but not the US. This is an old hotel that has been updated so […] I understand their space limitations. It was clean but not worth what we paid. No coffee maker in the room. Spent two nights at this hotel. Have never slept in such a noisy bed. Room not ready when we arrived at 2.30pm. Finally got into the room at 5pm when we were disturbed by very loud banging and drilling. Turned out they were replacing the locks on the doors on our floor and work would continue the next day. I had a corner room with a nice view. The mattresses were old and sagged in the middle. The towels were old... no plush left. The carpet was wet in the corner as I found out when I stepped there.. probably because of rain but the room felt moldy. It's a great location and if you're staying a day or 2 it's fine... breakfast looked great.

I was in Miami for a conference, and the recommended conference hotels were very expensive. The Albion was a block from the conference venue, and was less than half the cost of the conference hotel. The beach was very close and there were a lot of great restaurants/clubs within walking distance. The hotel itself was very clean, beds were comfortable, […] and the coffee was good. I was ttally impressed with the hospitality, friendliness, n overall hotel experience. The staff was very helpful n kind n defnitely went over n beyond my expectations. The location is 2 blocks from the beach with nearby shopping. Just loved it. The only slight negative was our king bed was very mushy n had 2 definite body depressions from use. I only gave 4's for the first two categories because I did not really stay long enough to make a more informed assessment I only stayed here for one night but I'd be willing to stay here again for a longer period of time. It is in a prime location off of Lincoln Road and right between Washington and Collins Aves. You can't really ask for a better location […] in that you can get just about anything you need (beach, shopping, food, drinks, etc.) within a 2 block radius. The Albion Hotel is extremely well located in South Beach steps from Lincoln Road and short blocks to Ocean Drive. It's one of many retro hotels harkening back to the 50s and "neo-Deco." I don't think they make the best of it, though. At night, when we arrived, the lobby was cold and forboding. In the morning it had more appeal with light and people. […] The breakfast area on the mezzanine level was nice, as was the breakfast, but it was a one-man operation and a little slow, with dirty tables everywhere. The room was, as would be expected, not very big, but the bathroom had been prettied up and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Price was very good for a boutique hotel. Needs a bit of upkeeping, however the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. Hotel is in the center of South beach...walking distance from Lincoln road and beautiful beaches...

Great location, just one block away from Lincoln Road (lots of shopping & restaurant possibilities) and two blocks away from the beach. Very friendly staff, always helpful with anything you need. As my flight only left at 7PM I could easily store my luggage after the check-out and even use the "shower" room near the pool to refresh before leaving to […] the airport without any additional charge. After scouring the internet, looking for a decent, affordable hotel in South Beach, I came across the Albion. What attracted me to this hotel were its good reviews, seemingly ideal location, and it being not bad price-wise. We arrived earlier than the designated check in time so our room wasn't available yet. We were able to leave our bags with the […] hotel and grab some food in the meantime though. After getting food, our room still wasn't ready so we chilled by the pool to wait. The pool is pretty nice, a decent size, with palm trees surrounding it. When we finally did check in, and went up to our room, we were pleased. It had two queen size beds that were actually quite comfortable, flat screen television, and a city view. It wasn't huge by any means but it was extremely doable and didn't give off a cramped vibe. The bathroom, while clean, did seem a bit small for the space. Not a deal breaker though, just be mindful if your above average size. We had plenty of towels and anything else we needed. Between the front desk guys and the bartender, the staff was pretty cool. They even gave us a map upon check-in and showed us where the good restaurants and shops were and also where the pricier places were so that we wouldn't be too surprised. The location is amazing. Its not right on Collins or Ocean, but it's 1 and 2 blocks up, respectively. Beach access is also 2 blocks up. There are tons of restaurants around and all the nightlife spots are within walking distance. One thing I wasn't too happy with was that they gave a key to our room to one of my friends who wasnt staying with us. We came in after a night out to find him asleeep in one of our beds. Not that big of a deal but it makes me wonder if any ID was asked for before a key was issued and if this is their normal policy. All in all, I really liked the hotel. I am so glad I stayed here!! I attended a conference and found this hotel through Hotels.com. It is the closest hotel to the Miami Beach convention center, two blocks to the beach and just over a block from Lincoln Mall, where you can walk to get all sorts of nice restaurants. Good hotel - had great TV and internet working. Room and bed was okay. Not a very romantic room though - pretty simple. Pool-area was okay - not great. Nice location

I would not recommend this hotle at all. The service sucks, as well as the view of walgreens across the street. This hotel was very expensive and the supposedly "continental breakfast" was even priceier than the cocktail drinks downstairs. Would never visit again!!
