"You get what you pay for"
I was unhappy to find that my room was located in one building, and the "extras" that I was lookikng forward to taking advantage of i.e. fitness center/pool/breakfast....were located in another building. I do not remember seeing this documented in the "features". I did not appreciate having to wake up and walk across the parking lot for breakfast. Having […] the pool and fitness center located in another building did not make it convenient for me to use the facilities. Hotel needs a BIGTIME update. Cost was good however I had to take a "drip" shower in the AM. No water pressure at ALL. Relatively clean however outdated.

"Problems"
I used to stay this place many times. But recently they have changed new boss.I asked for a baby crib for my son which has no problem before, but this time they asked for 10$ . I argued why they told me the old boss left. i think it is good time to try another place.

The hotel room was filthy and the bathroom was filled with flies. The management was notified that there may have been a problem in the bathroom and had offered no assistance. The room was labeled as a non-smoking room and smelled terribly of stale cigarette and it was worsened with the heat being on. I would never stay there again and never recommend […] this hotel. "Nice enough hotel, some problems."
The property was in fairly good condition; the room was clean. Some repairs needed however. A number of the amenities (pool, business center, etc.) were closed down. The only real problem was dealing with the staff, who seemed to either not care or didn't know how to get anything done. Getting the airport shuttle was a joke, as you had to arrange it […] through another hotel, and none of the clerks at either place would actually schedule anything with the drivers. "alright but hotel chain change coming up"
Had some issues checking in with the new guy who was unclear if I had paid or not. Took down payment info again and said to come back the next day to talk to manager. Not sure what night clerk was looking at and confused about - manager said it was all alright. Room was fine. Heater is in the back of the room which means that you don't alternate getting […] blown on by the heater which is nice. Breakfast was standard nicer buffet options for this level of hotel - waffles, 2 kinds cereal, oatmeal, bagels, english muffins or toast, and plenty of drink options. "Close to airport"
We only stayed here because it was convenient to the airport & we were flying in late then leaving early. The continental breakfast was an added bonus.

The Guy at the réception was very rude. Nô customer service. The hôtel smells like rotten eggs even with all the airwicks in the hallway. Our shower in the room was out of service. When we called front desk the Guy said That he knew about...The AC was hot air even on cold. The walls are so thin That you hear people walking over you head and talking […] in the NeXT room. Online Advertising was misleading. Hotel linen unclean and no staff available to resolve issue. Desk clerk was only person on duty and could not assist until front desk clerk was relieved.

We received a gentlemen at the front desk who was not thrilled for us to be there. His actions showed us that he wanted us processed in and out of the lobby quickly. Which normally its not a bad thing but his attitude showed us that we were bothering him. There was no line just me and my husband. He spoke super fast through the paperwork in that machine […] that stamps it. He was just not wanting up to be around. Then he tells us our room number. We went to that room and the door was open ajar and when we pushed it open the bed was not made the pillows were on the floor the blankets were wrapped in a huge pile with seran wrap on them. The room was a mess. So we called to the desk telling him that you gave us a room that was a mess. My husband went back to the lobby and he was in a worse mood. He was slamming things around.and yelling at housekeeping. Also the phone rang while we were waiting for our new room key and he picked it up saying hhhhheeeelllloooo totally sarcastic. He was rude and we did not appreciate his temperment. I would not recommend your hotel. We asked for a non smoking room which the sign said in the room but it did have a overall odor to it. "Baymont Inn"
The hotel fits the surrounding. At 1 o'clock the fire department banged on my door and asked if there was afire in there as someone pulled the fire alarm. Not to worry as there was no fire but across the street in Motel 8 there was a shoot out and the building was taped off when we drove by. Leaving we looked under the bed in case we lost something […] and in plain view was someones else sock, so the maid was not too vigilant. The women at the front desk was very helpful with directions. "One of the WORST"
We booked three rooms. Mine was suppose to be a King size bed none smoking. As soon as I opened the door you could smell the smoke. I complained and asked for another room and was told there weren't any. Then my Aunt and Uncle's key would not open their room. They tried it and seen it didn't work and told them they would give them another room after […] they just told me that there were no rooms! After calling Hotels.com they finally gave my wife keys to another room which was not a King. As far as the neighborhood, there was a STABBING at the Super 8 motel just a couple of blocks away! Hotel in perfect location of I87 and close to Mall and restaurants.

There are a few things just to mention,,,,the pool had a slime on top of it..it was very cloudy looking. Breakfast was OK..the server was slow to refill things..I had to keep asking AND he had a giant hickey on his neck! Desk staff was nice...and location was great!

"Decent enough"
The nicest parts of this hotel are the registration lobby and the breakfast nook...both look like they have been upgraded in the last few years. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the rooms. There was no fan in the bathroom and no lock on the door either..neither are deal breakers. The shower water handle is backwards...if you turn it all the […] way hot it stays ice cold...if you turn it towards cold it gets hot. Staff was friendly and helpful. We opted for a suite, which is in a newer wing. The rest of the rooms open to the street, but the suites open to interior hallways. Judging by the condition of the newer suites, I wouldn't recommend the regular rooms. Albany is kind of ghetto, so the surrounding area was kind of shady. In a pinch, I would stay there again. "nasty"
Our room was filthy, the bathroom floor was nasty and the carpet had something all over it. There was a moldy chicken bone behind the TV. We could not get any sleep the second night we were there because of other "guests" outside our door partying and talking loud till one in the morning and starting up again at 6 the next morning. I wouldn't recommend […] this place to anyone. They even tried to charge me again for the room after I had already paid for it thru Hotel.com. They'll never see me again in that place. "Expectations Not Met"
I have never stayed at a Baymont before and probably never will again. I was expecting a Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn quality for the price, but it was not close. Carpets were dirty, beds were uncomfortable, location was poor, shower was cold, and breakfast was gone before they said it would close.

Staff pleasant, knowledgeable, courteous. Rooms was well equipped and clean. Needed a place to sleep and shower. Excellent Value.

This hotel (actually more like a motel) was very inexpensive, so may be acceptable for the money. Still, it wasn't what I expected based on the number of stars given. We actually stayed in a building next door to the one pictured online. It was more like a motel. We had only an outside entrance, and we were on the 2nd floor.

We got in late (10:15pm). The man at the front desk was very nice. Check in was fast and easy. Parking was great we got to park right in front of our room so we were able to check on our vehicle. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but the pillows were great. The hotel was very quiet even though there were many guests. I thought it was great that there […] was a washer and dryer. "Good value for the price at Baymont Albany"
We stayed at this hotel as it is close to the Albany airport and we had an early morning flight. The night manager was very pleasant and efficient and we checked in with no problems. The room was on the ground floor and opened on to the parking lot, so unloading was easy. The side chair in the room had some stains, but otherwise the room was clean. "Bedbugs, mold, breakfast, warmth and expectations!"
I am a receptionist at a Bible conference, and have dealt with everything under the sun when it comes to hotel difficulties. We had a huge bout with bedbugs, and in result, I am very trained in looking for them. I am paranoid about staying anywhere other than homes, and I was nervous about staying in this hotel. Thank you for that pleasant surprise!! :) There was a little bit of mold near the beds (behind the nightstand) that I found during my stay. We stayed in rooms 220 and 221. Breakfast was nice...thank you :) The hotel was warm and SO COMFORTABLE. The beds were wonderful and very soft. However, the housekeepers could put the fitted sheets on tighter ;) Overall, my expectations were met and exceeded. Thank you for making my first independent hotel stay so wonderful. "Pas cher, vaut pas cher."
C'est un MOTEL, pas un hôtel. Piscine mal odorante, complexe très, très vieux. Les chambres sentent le vieux, tuiles manquantes partout, tapis abimés, couvertures percées par cigarettes, lits usés. Je n'ai pas pris en considération les critiques négatives concernant ce choix, j'aurais dû! À vos risques, mais c'est pas cher!
