The hotel was fine. The rooms were clean enough. The service wasn't great. It took half an hour to check in because they didn't have the room I reserved 2 weeks in advance ready. And then they offered a room with a fridge which we said we wanted and then gave us one without. Not sure if we will stay there again.

While we were checking in. The service was too slow it took us almost 1 hour standing in line because 2 blond girls were chit chatting with the customer not minding the long line up at the back waiting for them to get finish. It is annoying because we were tired from traveling to think that we still have to stand and wait for 1 hour to stand:(

really the only dislike with the hotel is the staff it wasn't to friendly and not very knowledgeable. hard to stay again in this hotel.

Good location in downtown Edmonton. They have 2 above ground parking lots, which was perfect for us since we have a large truck. It costs $10 dollars a night for parking. We had to park in the "over flow" parking lot just across the street from the hotel, it didn't have a fence or video surveillance, but they have a staff member check the parking lot […] hourly. Rooms were nice and clean. Our only issue was trying to rent a movie off the tv menu-it wasn't working. We called the front desk to see if there was anything they could do, they said they had been having this issue with some TVs and offered to waive our parking fee instead. My only other complaint was that breakfast ended at 10 am, I think it should be extended to 11 am. We came down at about 10:20 and everything had been put away, a couple other guests had missed out as well. I'm sure there are lots of guests who are on leisure trips who want to sleep in a bit, so it'd be much better to have a later breakfast. Other than that our stay was very nice. Przeczytaj więcej

Its location in downtown is awesome and it doesn't take too long to get anywhere (not considering bad traffic). The place is well maintained with great and helpful staff. I prefer it for its breakfast option that is included. Its not much (in variety - fruits, eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, pancakes) but its better than stepping out in the morning looking […] for something to eat. It even has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi. Useful after a tiring day. Go there every time. I don't even bother with the other places compared to the value and quality it offers. Never before have I been treated so horribly. The staff was RUDE the hotel was dirty and our room was disgusting. My stay was amazing and it's a prime area for visiting Edmonton. The hotel was clean and everyone who worked there was so polite and kind and very helpful. They always had answer for all of my questions, when I go back ill definitely be staying at the Holiday inn express again.

A wedding party was also staying the weekend we stayed. Needless to say, there was a lot of noise and the people next to us needed to be removed by police after a loud drunken fight broke out! The continental breakfast was the best that I have had yet, it was a full breakfast. room was comfortable and clean and staff was amazing, we asked if we could buy microwavable popcorn for the microwave and they gave us 2 free bags and 2 bottles of water(WOW).

Room layout was okay, and bed comfortable, but it was hot as air conditioning didn't work in winter and there was no fan or air circulation. Its a great place to be and I don't have any complaints. It is rated as a 2.5 star hotel. I have seen 4 star hotels with service and conditions worse than this. As far as short trips to edmonton is concerned, Holiday Inn Express is the place to be.

It is hard to rate a place when all one does is sleep there. This hotel was ok, though it is a bit dated. The whole surrounding area has signs posted saying that car breakins are a frequent occurrence. For a one night stay this was fine. The room would have been very lacking if we were spending multiple days there. The staff was very friendly.

I always stay at this hotel when I visit Edmonton. I've very rarely had any problems there, but when I have had a problem, the front desk staff is always happy to fix it. Price is always good. Breakfast is fantastic.

The only reason it wasn't a total disaster of an experience was the fact that it was a five minute walk to the Edmonton LRT....... Gross....... There was dirty sheets and dirty everything just sitting in the halls in the evening and the shower certain was completely discusting. The room door didn't shut on its own as it should, and as we thought it […] did. Came back later that night only to realize that our door wasn't latched. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The beds were very comfy. The pillows were good. I didn't wake up with a sore neck. The bathroom was adequately stocked and towels were fresh and clean. This hotel's walls may very well have been made from paper. Bricks and mortar may have helped screen some of the noise coming in from outside, below us, and beside us. Thank God for London Drugs and earplugs for night # 2. Impressive as the Fry Experiment is on YouTube, it is somewhat underwhelming when the pool area is used as the lab. We thought the rooms were very nice and the private balcony, fantastic!The complimentary breakfast was by far the best I've had. We were very impressed with the array of items to choose from. We would definitely book at this hotel again and other Holiday Inn Expess' for future events.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Edmonton and lived there for 40 years so I am familiar with the areas. The hotel is perfectly good, with a pool and hot tub for use. The breakfast is very good for one that is inclusive in your rate. Omelettes, fruit, yogurt, bacon, sausages, pancakes, toast, bagels, cream cheese, cereal, etc - something for everyone. […] Our room was very clean and new with good sheets and pillows. I noticed no noise from other rooms. The area is not the best, being downtown and around the corner from Red Arrow buses and across the street from another hotel with a noticable bar but there are some restaurants close by and a Sobeys grocery store 1 block away. We have stayed there 3 times now and like the location, breakfast is decent but this time we were disappointed in the cleaniness of the hotel and the smell of smoke on the 4th floor. Then they sprayed a freshner and made it worse.

This hotel was clean, quiet and conveniently located downtown. I was especially pleased by the complimentary breakfast - it included fruit and individual omelets as well as the usual muffins and coffee. I'd definitely use stay here again.

It was very awkward when checking in. I had called and told them that I would have a dog when I booked with you guys and when we got there he acted like he was surprised that we had a pet and made us feel very awkward. We weren't sure that he was going to have a room for us. I told him that we hadtold then we would have a dog with us at the time of […] booking. What a wonderful week in Edmonton. The Holiday Inn is a great place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful in providing transit info and attraction info. Breakfasts were great. Not having a car, location provided easy access to downtown. Would be pleased to recommend Holiday Inn to anyone.
