We have only one negative remark about this hotel. The doors to the rooms slammed so hard that one could believe someone came into your room. If you are a light sleeper it will keep you awake.

Hotel was clean, modern, and a great location to see the sights or get public transportation. Rooms small, but typical for Europe, but certainly adequate.

Great Staff always helpful. Room a little small but you only need to sleep there. Clean and loverly breakfast room, plenty to eat.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was small but nice and comfortable. Location was great easy walking distance to RER station, Notre Dame, plenty of great restaurants and cute shops.

Prime Location for all tourist spots and eateries, Friendly & helpful staff, immaculate condition and a really great stay all round. Everything was great (especially at this price point), but our room felt a bit like a basement room because the ceiling was low. People taller than 185 cm may feel a bit claustrophobic!

If you accept that the vast majority of hotels in Paris have very tiny rooms (and even smaller bathrooms) then you should consider this hotel. Yes, the room is very small and quite simple. But the bed is very comfortable - and unlike most hotels in Europe, a double bed really is a double bed instead of two twin beds stuck together with an uncomfortable […] crack running down the middle. The service is also basic, but quite friendly. There is a simple (not very tasty) breakfast available. Honestly, save your money and walk to any of the dozen or so cafes within two block which have much cheaper and tastier options. There is no lunch or dinner available at the hotel, but you can get coffee or tea in the lobby anytime (no bar though). The real value of this hotel is the location and the price. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. But this is a basic arrangement. If you are self sufficient and don't mind going outside the hotel for meals, you will be very happy with this little hotel. This is a great choice for solo travelers, business travelers who don't need a lot of services, or student travelers who want more comfort than a youth hostel. Couples who are budget conscious and don't mind a small room will also like this choice. If you are planning a romantic holiday and want a hotel which can deliver room service and has little amenities to make your stay cozy and extra comfortable, I would not recommend this particular place. In any case, the location can't be beat! The whole Latin Quarter is at your door. And those of you taking the RER B from Charles de Gualle airport will be thrilled to know that you can travel direct from the airport to a stop just one block from this hotel for 10 euros! The reason that i booked this hotel was from the great reviews that i read. It was quite risky but it was everything that i wanted it to be. Small rooms but hey, who cares? great location, great atmosphere, great city. Highly recomended!!

We stayed at La Tour Notre Dame for 3 nights and other than slightly eccentric heating - cool in the evening - very hot overnight - really could not fault it. The location is unbeatable - only five minutes walk from all the tourist busyness of St Michel and Notre Dame but in a quiet street with restaurants used by locals near by.

Great hotel in fantastic location, the room was clean and confortable althought a bit small. hotel situated in a quiet area but still a really close from main sites and metro stop. Staff really friendly and helpfull, we were able to leave our bag on our last day while we went visiting

This hotel is pretty mediocre; we really booked it for the location and the price. It is situation kind of on the line between St. Germain and the Latin Quarter, so it's a really great neighborhood- close to a few metro stations, Notre Dame, a few museums, and tons of restaurants and bars. Also an easy walk to other neighborhoods; we walked from here […] to the Marais, Invalides, the Louvre area, etc. Easy to get to from the airport by metro as well. The hotel itself is nothing special; as other reviews mention the rooms are very small but they are adequate. I arrived about an hour after check-in time and tried to take a quick nap and had a few interruptions as staff came in to bring pillowcases, toiletries, and do some other things that I guess they didn't get to in time. As mentioned in a lot of other reviews the Hotel is clean, in a great location close to a lot of restaurants, cafe bars, notre dame cathedral and the metro, the staff are friendly but the only slight problem is the rooms and shower are a bit cramped. Overall though I would stay there again.

I always stay here when I come to Paris. Location is great and I've never been disappointed with the hotel. It's simple, good value and right in the heart of the cinquieme. The very tall may have problems in the upper floor rooms with limited bathroom headroom!

The hotel is nice and clean. Location is excellent, close to Latin streets and Notre Dame. The only downside was the size of the rooms: Simply too small. The room we stayed in was only to sleep, actually the bathroom was nearly as big as the room.

The BW Tour Notre Dame is THE place to stay in Paris. My husband and I spent 5 days there and it is in the perfect location. Minutes from the Metro and easy to get to from CDG airport. This hotel is in a great location. Rooms were a little small - but that is usual for Paris. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly.

Although the room was small it was spotlessly clean. My husband at 6' 2" found the shower compact and was glad he had packed a sense of humour, but the water was hot and the shower was powerful. The bed was comfortable and there was a wardrobe, tv, table and chair and small side table in the room. The location is perfect, just behind the Sorbonne in the Latin Qtr. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes right on the doorstep. The metro is a five minute walk. The one down side was the temperature of the room. It was too warm and having the air conditioning turned right down didn't make any diference. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel because we thought it was a bit expensive, so used the cafes outside and that worked perfectly for us. Our room was quite small - like most hotel rooms in Paris - and the double bed was not the largest I have seen. But the room was clean, the bed very comfortable (my back is quite sensitive when it comes to beds) . But the best thing about this hotel must be the location, so close to everything.

perfectly located across the street from the famous La Sorbonne! Great staff, friendly and ready to help. Walking distance to musee du moyen age, le Pantheon, and la seine river; we loved it.

This hotel is on the Left Bank and only a block from a Metro station. Also within easy walking distance from Notre Dame, Ile St Louis, the Pantheon, and the Sorbonne is right up the street. We couldn't have asked for a better location for this price. Good restaurants nearby too.

The hotel has character and is really excellently located close to Notre Dam and the Latin Quarter. Cafes and restaurants in abundance. You can walk over to Paris Central within 20 minutes and be on the right bank of the Seine.

Pros: good starting pointing for sightseeing and shopping. Friendly staff. Cons: small rooms, tiny shower(Max height 5'5"), terrible breakfast. Stat herr for the location. Clean and friendly hotel with sone cons.

I booked this hotel because free breakfast was included and when I got to the hotel and checked in they told me I paid for room only. Since I didn't have printed proof of the free breakfast all I could do was insist that I paid for it but they didn't give it to me. Now that I'm back home I did some searching and found on my reservation on the hotels.com […] website that states "PROMOTION ADDED Buffet Breakfast Included Daily -33.56." Best Western La Tour Notre Dame ripped me off!!! Whatever happened to the customer is always right??? I am a frequent visitor to Paris & always stay in the Latin Quarter to be close to St. Michal/St. Germaine Metro. This hotel meets that requirement. My first stay @ this hotel because of best price & I will remain a loyal customer. To best see the Eiffel Tower, take Metro, B Line,to Denfert Rochereau station then change to Green Line #6 direction of Charles de Gaulle Etoile to Trocadero, follow signs for Eiffel Tower. As with all hotel rooms in Paris, very small. Small bathroom and thin walls. But again, this tends to be true of most hotel rooms in Paris. Very clean, free wifi internet, super location. Staff is friendly and willing to help. No complaints at all.

We were received by a friendly greeter after a long flight, it was hours before our room would be ready, and he happily stowed our bags so we could go explore. Very close walk from the Cluny/Sorbonne metro. You'll exit on St. Germain and will see the Moyen Ages museum. Walk to the right of the museum, along St. Michel, turn left on rue du Sommerard […] and the hotel will be about a block and a half on the left. St. Michel stop (right across from Notre Dame) is also close by. The room was a little small by American standards, but generous by Parisian standards. Well kept, and cozy. The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice. Don't bother with the hotel breakfast, it's over priced and there are so many good bakeries in the area. Great location and area, just few mins walk from Seine and Notre dame. Lots of alleys with restaurants nearby. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Rooms on the small side but expect that for paris. Would go back.

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights May 2009. I am used to European hotels, so expected it to be small. However, the pics are a little deceiving- the flat screen tv was tiny, the beds were right next to eachother and not moveable. But we really were there to see Paris, so we didn't mind. The convenience of this hotel is the best part- […] We took the Metro from Gare de Nord train station, and the stop is just around the corner from the hotel (the Notre Dame stop on the B line). Also, it is just a few minutes walk from the river and Notre Dame. The front desk staff was pleasant the whole time we were there. The beds are very comfortable. The cleaning staff does an excellent job. We were a little disappointed with the fake drawers in both the nightstands and the desk, which allowed us very little room to unpack. They also offer a computer for free in the lobby, but our experience was that there was always someone on it. I think they offer (free?) wi-fi in your room. If you are looking for a clean, safe, comfortable room for less, this is for you. Travel tip- Buy a two day Bato Bus (water bus) that you can hop on and off from. There is a station right in front of Notre Dame. This is inexpensive and can take you to all of the major sights and is a good way to get you back to your hotel.
