I was very disappointed in this hotel, I paid for the room for new years eve, drove 200 miles to get there, once I was there to check in I was asked to sign a paper stating a$250 fine for having a pet. I have a small toy dog that travels with us and was not told of this rule ahead of my stay. I talked to the manager and she was no help. We have stayed three consecutive times! We liked the hotel, its location and quality/price ratio.

This downtown hotel was a great location in downtown Austin. Great city views. Beds were the sleep number beds. A joke. We never slept all night. The room itself needed upgraded badly. Will not stay there again.

we had an awesome time, staff was very helpful and friendly and the room really gave us a relaxing evening..... we will be back !

The hotel was within walking distance to the convention center. I definitely wouldn't eat in the hotel restaurant again.

We stayed at this hotel two years ago on the river side. We just stayed there again, but on the city side this time. My recommendation... pay the extra money for the river side room! The city side room was much smaller and not updated. The river side room was updated, much larger and didn't smell gross like the city side room.

Except for a couple of glitches at the beginning of my stay (which the hotel gladly fixed right away) this was a great hotel. Close to the convention center and walking distance to 6th street. Enjoyed the stay, will be back.

Very comfortable sleep number bed (king size), great TV, and a couch. Very large room, we were very comfortable. Our room was on the north side of the building so we had a great view of the city (not of the bridge). Very quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff!

Was a great place right on the river. Get a riverview room. It is awesome. The pool is outside and not heated and I tried to swim but way too cold this time of year (nov) though outside it was 78 during the week there. Nice to have a Starbucks right inside hotel. 5 min walk to convention center! Sue

I stayed at the Radisson because it was only 3 blocks from the Austin Convention Center where I was attending an event. The exterior design of the hotel is extremely bland, however the interior is really what matters to me and it was excellent. Elevators were a little small, but my room was fantastic. Very comfortable bed that had a nice alarm clock […] system next to it where I could plug in my iPhone and charge it (very cool). The view I had was of downtown, and it was good enough that I took several photos. Great view of the very impressive Austonian, as well as the State Capitol right down Congress Ave. It was an easy walk to the convention center, and a quick and safe walk to the nearest Metro bus line which for only $1 can take you almost anywhere you care to go. There is a full service Starbucks and a TGI Fridays on the ground floor, which came in very handy as I ate at Fridays 4 times during my 4 days, and Starbucks 5 times. What can I say, I love coffee and I had a lot of money on my gold card. Lol. The hotel is right on the river with easy access to walking trails. I didn't use them, but it's nice to know they were there for anyone interested in outdoor activities. I used the fitness center. It's great to know they have free weights, but oddly they had 25lb and 35lb but no 30s. The fitness center was a little cramped, but it had two TVs to watch Sports Center, towels, and a cold water system with disposable cups. Plenty of cardio machines as well. Finally, I had the misfortune of leaving my wallet in my room. I had to go to the concierge and explain what had happened. In less than a minute, a friendly hotel employee accompanied me to my room and after a quick check of my ID and being offered an extra room key which I declined, I was on my way. Really, the experience could not have been better. I'd recommend it to anyone who is thinking of spending time in downtown Austin. It's just too bad the hotel design was so "ugly". The rooms are VERY spacious which is a great asset and very positive comment for this hotel. The bathrooms however seem a bit "old" and up for a renovation. Otherwise the rooms are quiet and very clean. Breakfast is served in TGI Friday. It smelled musty but was ok on the other levels. Seems staff is limited on willingness to go the extra mile. We asked for a bottle opener and were sent to the gift shop. When at the gift shop they were out. When we asked the front desk the said the restaurant would have one. We went there and were told to bring our bottle to them and they would open […] it and we could take it back to our room. Finally the desk super brought us one after asking for the manager. By that time we were so frustrated. She also asked that we open our bottle right then whe she waited at the door so she could take the opener with her!!! The room was great, the view was even better, the location was perfect for us, even the rate was very competitive but the sleep number bed did not work so I did not sleep well. I would still recommend this hotel , but please fix the bed or get new ones, tired in Austin

We had a pleasant stay at the Radisson, it's in a very nice area, close to everything and the staff was very helpful.

The only negative is the high dollar a day charge for Internet.

Everything was lovely except that the "Sleep Number Bed" in the room was malfunctioning and stuck on the "hard as a rock" setting. We didn't discover it until already undressed for the night, so spent a very uncomfortable night. I'm sure the hotel staff would have fixed it or switched our room if we had discovered it earlier. This is the hotel I always stay at when I am in need of a room in Austin. Its very convenient to walk to downtown Austin and restaurant/ bar areas. Views in the rooms are not bad, I have only had the lake view once and it was a great view. Rooms have sleep-comfort beds which are a huge plus. Definitely very clean and nice. booked a room with a king sleep number bed,received a rm with two regular queens,front desk said sorry we will give you a $28 credit at starbucks for the inconvienence but of course when our credit card bill arrives we are charged the $28 + $1.92 for city of austin parking,no idea what that is, otherwise nice location

We stayed here because I was having surgery. When we checked in we asked for a late checkout. The unqualified gentleman at the counter response was noon. We asked again if it could be later his response was noon. He could have provided better guest service by saying let me see what I can do. Noon is regular checkout timw not the late checkout time. […] For crying out loud your guest is having surgery you couldnt give us one extra hour. On top of that you had to pay for internet. For the price I paid I expected free Wi-Fi. Charging for internet is like charging for ketchup with your fries. In addition, there was no HBO. My girlfriend and I stood here to be alone and celebrate her 21st birthday. Granted we only stood for a night, but through our experience we have no intention of ever staying here again. Overall, it wasn't worth the money that we spent. The wall paper was peeling in our room, the shower head was broken, there was a pillow missing from the bed, the TV […] glitched out a lot, the ambiance of the location was terrible, and for a King Suite it wasn't as glamorous as the website advertised it. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The location is GREAT! Nice lobby, back patio, bar, live music, and access to walk down to watch the bats! I have stayed at this hotel several times and the property was even nicer this trip.

Walking distance to the Capitol, University of Texas, Historic 6th Street and the Congress Bat Bridge. Head the opposite direction for some fun shopping in SoCo. We had trouble with the magnetic keys for our room- once having to replace them entirely and other times standing outside of our room repeatedly inserting the key.

Me and my girlfriend decided to stay at the Radisson during our Labor Day Weekend and the overall experience was good. Great location for bat viewing but quiet a bit of a walk to 6th street. The only complaint we had with the service came from the Friday's that was connected to the hotel. And it didnt just seem like we were the only ones to experience […] the lack of service provided in the restraunt. This hotel is alright. It is certainly older and somewhat outdated, some rooms are nicer than others, overall they are lacking some necessary amenities like room safes but it has a prime location in Austin's Downtown where a lot of fun things to do could be reached by foot. Their gym room is OK, so is the pool, TGI Friday's located on the premises offers […] breakfast buffet which is convenient if you travel with kids. Starbucks in the lobby doesn't hurt either. The only thing - ask for room that is as far away from the busy intersection that the hotel sits on as possible, otherwise, if you're there on Saturday night you won't be able to sleep until bars are closed and all the drunks made it home safely:-)) Przeczytaj więcej

This a great place to stay. The only thing that bothered me was the music for the pool are was alittle on the loud side. My room was above the pool area so a song with "bass" came on i could feel it, other than that great place.

Stayed at the hotel before and will stay again, very nice location and hotel, the only thing that was not excellent was our room never seemed to cool down

We wanted a special anniversary night, so we upped for a lake view for extra pricing. We checked in to a staff person who was uninterested to say the least...went to the room...city side, not what we requested...back down to the desk.."the only thing I have is on the 5 th floor".So I said didn't you have our reservation information on your screen requesting […] and confirmed with a king/lakeside?...a grunt.
