Easy to find. Near casual resturants. Popcorn in the lobby. Hot coffee, tea and hot water available. Very polite and friendly personell.

There were cockroaches in the room...not clean at all.
the hotel was easy to get to places. the parking was not good to many big trucks and extra long vans those need to park someplace away from the cars. the big trucks took 3 or 4 parking places..

OLD and Tired hotel. Heating unit worked ok, beds were soft, but the sheets were thin, as wree the blanket. Old screen TV. Internet worked, but was a little hard to get it on. BREAKFAST was a JOKE, room small, about 6 - 8 people could sit down. NO Pool, or Exercise room. There were a couple of places to eat within walking distance. "Too close to highway"
While I selected this hotel for its proximity to I-70, that's all I heard all night. Next time I'm moving away from the traffic. The bathroom of our room left a lot to be desired. There certainly was no room for more than one person!

My husband and I went out for a birthday celebration weekend. We loved the friendliness and courtesy of all of the staff. The room was very no frills, which was fine for our needs. It did not have a fridge or a microwave but I expected it to for some reason. The heater/air unit in the room was extremely loud. I read that in other reviews and did not […] take it seriously. It *really* was loud and made it difficult to get to sleep. The complimentary toiletries were in a dispenser in the shower and they were not labeled. My husband has skin sensitivities so it is good that I brought his own products. We liked the free coffee available in the lobby at all hours. My best friend and I had a wonderful girls weekend and were very satisfied with the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience of the Pear Tree Inn. It is in a great location and very affordable!! "Peartree Inn Terre Haute"
The hairdryer and the exhaust fan did not work in room 303. I did not report it. Overall my stay was as I expected and I will stay again.

My stay was very comfortable, and the staff was awesome. The staff couldn't do enough to make certain that I was well taken care of including someone delivering tylenol to my room at 2 a.m. for my headache. I will be staying there on my next visit to Terre Haute.

"One night - late"
Traveled on New Years eve late. Excellent service for reservation, check in, check out and breakfast. Room was clean and accomodated all our family (4) needs. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Everything was fine, no problems. Clean room, free breakfast, friendly front desk staff. Only downside was we had to change our check-in date and were charged a higher rate but that is not hotels.com's fault. Would definitely stay here again.

"no sleep this night"
The unit that was monitering the room temperature did not work and it was warm in the room, too warm for me. Had to keep the unit running to drown out the sounds from the highway. Besides that, I do not think the sheets have ever seen fabric softner. It was like sleeping on sand paper.

This room was perfect for what we were wanting. We just wanted to get away by ourselves and do some Christmas shopping. Our King bed was comfortable. It was unique, to us, that there was a recliner in the room. We were not told that hotel customers get a 10% discount at Lonestar which is right by the hotel.

Easy access to I-70. Good value. Nothing fancy in the two-double bed room. Fan on the heating system could be quieter, but good temperature control. Pillows could be newer, and more comfortable. THE SHOW HEAD IN THE BATH TUB WAS TERRIBLE. IT WAS FOR SOMEONE THAT IS 7 FOOT TALL..............I'M 5 FOOT TALL. NO VENT IN THE BATHROOM........................WATER WOULD GO OUT ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE THE WAY IT WAS INSTALLED.

"Top of the line."
This place is excellent for the price range....Staff very helpful and polite, decent neighborhood compared with other areas close by, clean, comfortable. When I needed something out of the ordinary regarding my reservation the staff went out of their way to make sure it was done. Popcorn in the lobby a nice touch.

Good place to stay. Close to lots of restaurants, stores and ISU. Wish there were a few more amenities (like a pool), but it was fine. Not dirty and nice staff, so those are big pluses for us.

The desk clear at check in was one of the friendliest I have encountered in my travels. Inquired of any needs I would have and made fresh popcorn for visitors pleasure. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Overall a very good stay.

I slept on top of the bedspread on a sheet I brought with me - it didn't appear that the sheets were clean as they were wrinkled but not from being folded. I will not stay there again.

Pleasant stay. Located near ISU. I was able to check my daughter into her dorm and shop for all her necessities from grocery to school supplies to dorm room supplies. I will return.

First time stay at this hotel. A little bit difficult finding entrance from the north. Check in was very quick, desk staff great. Room with king bed good size. Bathroom was immaculate! Room on highway size a bit noisy, quieted at evening. Would definitely stay again.

"Terre Haute Wedding Weekend"
I enyjoed the Pear Tree Inn from an overall perspective. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They are pet friendly so that's why we chose to stay there for the wedding weekend. The only bad thing was the ice machine was broken all weekend on both floors so couldn't get any ice. The room was suitable though and the bed was comfortable.

"Maint"
The A/C sounded like a 747 taking off every time it kicked on. I assume the A/C filter had not been cleaned in quite some time as I am allergic to dust and had severe breathing problems all the time I was in the room.
"Don't stay on Steak House side"
The room was ordinary, which is what I expected. However, it was at the side of the entrance to the Steak House which played loud music until late in the night. A room on the other side would be quieter.

Good hotel right off the freeway. Breakfast is included and surrounding area has restaurants within walking distance. We stayed for five nights so it wasn't just an overnight experience. Our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a basic hotel.

"Clean,4 floor hotel, Great free breakfast"
This was a great find. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a good continental breakfast, from homemade waffles to fruit and cereal. The whole hotel was clean nice elevators, and the rooms were roomy....Good fair price I would stay again.

I didn't expect much from this Peartree for the price, but i didn't even get what i expected. The front clerk was there when we checked in arround 3:00 pm and that was the last time we spoke to anyone. No one was attending, no one answered the phones, and no one was there at checkout.
