The hotel was nice. Everything was clean and working. While it was a short on some amenities that i have come to expect in hotels, like a hot tub in the pool area, our stay was nice and the complimentary breakfast was good. this hotel should be 2.5 star. room were good, bed were good. neighbor is good with fast food, dinning and downtown. this place is 7 to 10 minutes away from Starved Rock. overall we had a good experience at this hotel.

"Great for an overnight near Starved Rock"
For the price, this is your best option for a quick overnight trip to Starved Rock. It's nothing fancy, but it is clean, modern and has what you need. I recommend it.

i had reserved days inn and dont regret it. I am sure mom and pop stays would have been good but staying in days inn gave me at least the expected established standard of a hotel, which for a small place like olglesby is grate. We had visited starved rock the evening before and spent most of the following day at the Mathesian state park skieeing. so […] i am unsure how they would have cleaned the room, however i am confident that it would have been clean as we got it the first time, The beds were clean but the refrigerator in the room was not plugged in. The wifi was available and i could do facetime with my folks and stay in touch with them. The breakfast provided was good with choices from gravy and buiscuits, fruits, bread and eggs. "Great stay"
This hotel deserves more than 2 stars - very clean, room smelled good, friendly staff. Had all the amenities, including biscuits and gravy!
Everything was clean and comfortable. The heated indoor pool was good to be able to use even in the winter. The complimentary breakfast was okay but had to request decaf coffee to be made and had to wait. Don't know why a pot of decaf wasn't already made along with the regular coffee which was always ready. But overall the hotel is very good.

We booked this hotel the day before our quick get-away to Starved Rock. The front desk staff person was friendly, polite and helpful. The room( king upgrade) was newly renovated, clean and quiet. "Comfortable one night stay"
This is a small hotel, but clean and comfortable. My kids and I were going hiking in Starved Rock and wanted a hotel close by at a reasonable price. Days Inn fit the bill. Several fastfood restaurants nearby, also gas stations. Would recommend for short stays.

"Good nights rest"
It was a very clean hotel and the rooms were nice and roomy. My husband's only complaint is that the entire hotel was No Smoking. The front desk receptionist was not real friendly but was helpful if we asked a question. Overall, we had a good nights sleep and a good head start on our travels.
"Good for a low cost room"
Its not a vacation resort but its good for the price. Clean rooms, decent breakfeast selection, mini fridge and microwave. I used it for a fishing trip and it was much better than a tent. Seriously not bad, the pool is 3' deep and small so cross that one off as an amenity. Spent a pleasant two-night stay here Aug 2011. The hotel is a mile and a half off hwy 51 situated on a small side-street that includes a McD’s, subway, and family restaurant (Delaney’s) all a short walk from the lobby. The hotel was well kept and well maintained with competent staff. The first card-key issued to me was defective, but this was quickly […] remedied with apologies with a working replacement. I extended my intended 1-night stay a second night without issue, and the staff matched the Fri night rate even though my extension was for a Sat night. My room was clean and comfortable with a typical heat/AC unit which worked fine. King bed was comfortable with a wide selection of pillows. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the kitchen. Staff was very nice and so were the guests. Pool was small but heated - we were disappointed it had a CLOSED sign on it Sunday - not sure why. Close to Starved Rock, etc. All-in-all I would recommend it to our friends.

This hotel had the best room rate in the area, which is why I chose it. The hotel is a good, basic one with an indoor pool and hot breakfast. The room seemed very clean, although was a little smokey (even though the hotel is non-smoking). Overall good value.

We accompanied our daughter and her family on a camping trip. It was convenient to the state park, clean,and the bed was very comfortable. My grandsons enjoyed the indoor pool-it was very clean! Employees were very nice.

"River Visit"
We were just looking for a place to shower and sleep while visiting family at the IL River. The room had an odd smell and the pillows were very lumpy. It was not a very comfortable night for my family. The place was clean but just not nice.
"Clean + friendly"
Perfectly fine budget hotel near to the Staved Rock National Park which made a perfectly good base for exploring. We walked into Oglesby (about half a mile) and enjoyed a drink at MJ's Pub in Walnut St, which I could definitely recommend for the very friendly staff and regulars.

The advertising states a pool, it is actually a wading "puddle" 3 feet deep , x 12 long @ best. Definitely not as advertized.

We really liked staying at this Days Inn. It is right down the road from Starved Rock. The two double bed room was comfortable and just the right size for a family of four. We also liked having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. "The Day's Inn in Oglesby - close to 3 hiking parks"
The hotel has recently been renovated. Everything is fairly new. The staff was courteous and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and local activities. The pool and hot tub were clean and well taken care of. The breakfast room and continental breakfast exceeded expectations.

My stay was pleasant and everything was clean and nice. It's close to some eating places and gas stations. I would like to stay here again on my way back home.

the hotel was nice... the only thing was the pool was tiny... but the kids loved it and thats why we went here, for the kids to swim. Breakfast was great! Joe at the decks on saturday was great. (go cubbies)! Would stay again. Love all the food options around hotel. No complaints!

The hotel was very nice and our stay was very satisfactory. The night staff was a young man that sat out in the driveway on a bench most of the night smoking cigarettes. I was a little concerned what would happen if there was a night emergency...would he be able to handle the situation.
