Property is well worn but adequate in all respects. Accepts pets and is old style true motel with rooms in pet section opening directly to the out doors. Front unit which is not available to people with pets is more up to date and better maintained and I assume at same rate as our down scale accommodations. This hotel was ok for the price and the reason we booked.
Room was big and spacy with kingsize bed and sheets so soft and white and clean. Bed was so comfortable, yet high quality support. They have Great cozy single couches to pull close to t.v. and watch my shows in absolute comfort! They provide coffee and a great big continential breakfast, oats, bagels, bananas and cream cheese in buffet style in cheeful […] surrounding. Very peaceful location. Very quiet. "economical but would not do it again"
The staff was very nice and helpful, but the rooms were nasty.. we had two rooms, one smoking one non smoking. They both smelled horrible. The carpet was dingy, the linens smelled, and the walls were in need of fresh paint. I will not stay there again.
I have been staying at this hotel several times and have always been satisfied.

WE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL IN THE PAST. HOTEL WAS RUN DOWN ROOMS SMELLED MUSTY, TUB WAS DIRTY. WE HAD FRIENDS WITH US WE RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL FOR A HALF WAY STAY TO SC. I WOULD NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
"Very old!"
This hotel is much older than photos on internet show. Stairwells,railings etc. look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Pool is old and right in the middle of the parking lot. A screaming child in the next room kept me awake half the night. A hotel for vagabonds. It wasn't even cheap.
We stayed here 2 times, 3 weeks apart and enjoyed both stays. The desk clerk and the manager were very cordial and informative. Checkin & out was fast and efficient. We will use motel again when passing thru to New England again. Motel is close to most popular restaurants and gas stations. Near Apple Valley Mall also.

Although we arrived at the hotel late (about midnight), the employee welcomed us smiley.

Great hotel for the money. Beds were comfy, pool was refreshing, breakfast bar was modest, but good. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did notice a lot of litter around the walkways by the rooms. "Not a good choice"
Our first room was across form the ice machine. It only took a moment to realize there would be no sleep with the noise. The clerk was not happy when I tilk her the room was not acceptable. At first she said there were no others, yet the parking lot was half empty. When I insisted she found a second room. The tub had a gray stains, the grout in the […] bathroom tile was mildewed. Our towels were the worst. After drying there were bits of cotton fluff that we had to peal off. It was like we had used boxes and boxes of tissues to dry ourselves. "Happy Again"
Great stay again, no issue accept the bathtub could use a new slip mat. Everything was comfortable and clean.

The room was clean, but it was hard to hear there were no extra blankets or sheets when they were needed. The breakfast selection was limited. I would have like tea or hot chocolate as it was cold and rainy.

"poor hotel, vally rd winchester va."
bath tub dirty, somekind of silly string looking stuff on walls, coffee in coffee pot from last customer, dounuts in vending machine has a bad oder, had to get money back for them, but the worst was sunday morning breakfast,no food, begal and ceral, and coffee was ice cold, when I ask the lady at the desk if she had hot coffee she huff and then starter […] slamin things in back. no I'm sorry or ok no problem, she was very lazy and rude, will never stay at this days inn again, and its sad Days in are usually good, sorry no restuant close by just a 7-11. if you stay here I suggest you go to stevens city and stay, they have a great restuant buffe there. "Enough"
The hotel was good enough for me. I would say it is not a spectacular hotel, but it was at least clean and comfortable. I don't really know what a fancy hotel would be like, but i do know that this is not one for those who are looking for all the extras. That said, i would recommend this to anyone who just needs a place to sleep.

"Comfortable and convenient for a one night stopove"
We stayed only one night at this conveniently located hotel. We were traveling by car and it provided everything that we needed. Breakfast was a little lacking, with only prepackage cold offerings but it was complimentary and got us our morning coffee.
Room was clean Hotel is out of the way and the beds are broken down. No elevator Hads to stay on 2nd floor. Contiental Breakfast was very skimpy and not maintained. Will spend a few dollars more and stay elsewhere

Although we were given a 'non smoking' room, at must have been smoking at one time. Floor was uneven and carpet was sadly worn. I felt uncomfortable walking barefoot. Bathtub had an accident in its life. Should have been white, but instead some brown stain from a mat that was removed at sometime or chemicals that reacted to the surface color. "As expected"
We stayed here for a one night stop over. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old, but seemed well maintained. The pool area looked to be recently renovated. The room was dated but clean, and served our needs for one night. For the price it was a good deal. We plan to stay here again next month for a night.

"Good enough"
decent hotel. Little dated but for the money you couldn't beat it. We needed a place to crash to break up the drive and it served it's purpose well. The staff was helpful and the breakfast did the trick.

"Days Inn Winchester Va"
Out of our three stays, this hotel was the only one that treated my wife and I with the respect we felt we deserved. We feel we do not need anything more than common courtesy, and this was the only Days Inn that was able to provide normal, and courteous service. This hotel even went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed everything about our stay.
"Don't bring loved ones"
The place is a dump. If you are a man and alone and just need a place to crash, its fine. Otherwise, avoid it.
The hotel was clean, the bed was confortable. Certainly not a luxury hotel, but I was looking for price and location mostly on this trip. I found that here. We were here for my son's graduation from Shenandoah University, we were only blocks away from all the activity. This was a real plus.
