Red Roof Inn Winchester - Winchester

Room was spacious and clean. The bed was hard and uncomfortable though and the pillows were wafer thin. Overall it was a good value though.

I thought this particular Red Roof Inn was clean, and well-maintained. Sometimes with lodges like this I'd hesitate to bring my girlfriend but this place left me with no such reservations. However, I was a bit annoyed when I went to check out and the front desk lady was in the other room fussing with the juice machine. It wouldn't have been a problem […] but several customers were waiting to check out and we were all left waiting for over 15 minutes. When I went to talk to her I said, "Excuse me mam-" and she cut me off "I'm coming." Not at all how one should speak to the customer, especially when we were all waiting patiently and I tried to politely come talk to her. I stopped here in the way through. The price was right, and the breakfast, while not the greatest in the world, allowed me to avoid a $30 bill at Dennys...

The place was cheap and located in a convenient location. The room was comfy enough and I slept like a baby (was exhausted). Cons: bathroom had stains on bathtub, etc., that were not properly cleaned. Not great on amenities - not many towels, no lotion (good thing I brought my own), etc. TV reception was bad. Wireless service in the room had a weak signal so I was unable to use it. No hot water in the room. Noise could be heard through the walls.

Room was clean and price was very good.

This was my second time staying here. Love how attentive everyone is.

Easy to find Very friendly people to deal with.

Booked this room last minute . Served it's purpose. Very inexpensive. If you simply need somewhere to crash for an overnight trip get a room here. Very few amenities .. but I didn't need all that. Just a cheap room and a bed on short notice. Quick check in and out. Very satisfied. Friendly staff.

bed was very uncomfortable...felt like i was laying on the ground because the bed was so worn out....great service though...good for a bare minimum stay.

For an inexpensive hotel, this is a great place. Mgt and staff are concerned about cleanliness and comfort. 15 minutes after checking in, the front desk called to ask if my room was OK. One time I needed something extra and it was delivered 10 minutes after my request.

My wife was awake all night with an allergy attack. We didn't realize this was a pet friendly hotel and my wife is allergic to cats. We would have booked elsewhere had we known.

The red roof in is inexpensive and convenient to shopping, restaurants, gas stations and the interstate. The front desk was helpful and provided information. The room however was not clean. The only thing I would changed would be the mattress, it was pretty uncomfortable.

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood and the outside was well maintained. The internet was so slow we couldn't even get on. The tub had no drain plug and the front desk said that they didn't have any so we could only take showers. But, there was mold in shower stall so we couldn't even take showers. Check-in was a difficult experience because the night desk clerk had a heavy Hindi accent. I was unsure of what I was supposed to do? Because I could not communicate with the desk clerk until the clerk's friend who was hanging out in the lobby cut in to help. My bed was hard and I could feel the springs poking the surface of the mattress. I slept on […] the blankets to cushin myself from the springs. It was cold, so I used the heater, but the heater smelled funky, after a while you get used to it. Breakfast was all carbohydrates. Cereal, bread, waffles, but no fruit or protein. Orange, apple juice, milk, tea and coffee were also available. You can get some fruit or protein at the supermarket across the street and keep it in your mini-fridge overnight. The bathroom was clean and the tub was free of mildew. I would rate my overall stay as average but I am unsure if I would stay again? However I probably would because the hotel next door was packed and my experience was good enough for the price I paid. The beds need to be updated and the heater / air conditioner needs to be cleaned. We stayed at this hotel because it was the halfway mark for our trip from Long Island, NY to NC. It was a GREAT price and the room was extremely decent for the money. Great place to stay. I will make this my stop everytime I travel south. :)

The room was clean but the mattress was thin and lumpy. The night was very quiet. We were off the next morning without breakfast so I have no comment about the offerings. For an inexpensive place to just crash for the night...it met our need.

A little disappointing even at a discounted price. No frills accommodation.

This is a basic motel but was clean and in good condition. It has been recently renovated.

I was woken up at 8:30 am by the maids lingering outside my door, talking loud and asking guest in the second floor if they were leaving. I went to sleep at 5am., so you can imagine how upset I was. Check out was at 11am. Well at 10am again they were making lots of noise outside my room, then decided to knock loud at my room to asked if I was leaving!! […] I told the lady that check out was at 11am, not now. She did not say anything. The front desk person at the time when I walked in to let her know my discomfort, first she defend them, but then she just said: I am going to find out why!!! The lady was unprofessional, sitting, not even getting up to speak to me. A hotel we choose to stay and rest, not to be waken up, specially so loud. I pay for a service, not to be treated this way. I found the room very clean but very a average motel. My biggest problem was that there must have been 100 rooms available that night. The management put me next to the only other person staying on this side of the motel. This person was so loud and kept me up till 1:00 AM. He was out on the side walk and then in his room and vs versa. My problem with […] motels is that you have to put up with people on the side walk out side your room. Last time for me! A convenient location to stop off the major highway. room was clean and well maintained. Nothing special, just a night's sleep. Most clientele were transient workers who get up early and go to job sites. Free WiFi and breakfast was appreciated.

It was fine for a quick overnight stay. The bathroom was worn and seemed dirty because of its very used condition. Otherwise it served its purpose.

We found this to be very convenient on our way south to TN. It was just about the half way point and met some nice travelers from Canada. Rooms were warm upon arrival and breakfast was adequate.

Nice basic room, could use newer, fluffier pillows.

Basic hotel--clean, comfortable, minimum breakfast (bagels, cereal, frozen waffles--no fruit)

We found the staff at Red Roof to be very friendly and accomindating. Only suggestion is to get fatter pillows or put more on the bed. :)

The hotel is newly remodeled, extremely clean and a very good price. Service is excellent, complimentary breakfast was good and had a variety of items to choose from. Could have used better or more pillows and a hair dryer.

I've never had a problem with a Red Roof Inn room and this one was good too.

I always stay in this hotel on my way up north! Rooms always clean and quiet.

Price was good, staff was very friendly and efficient, nothing fancy but good for a night's stay when traveling. Takes pets which is nice, but there was a little barking through the night. Didn't eat breakfast because we wanted something a little more substantial than toast or bagels...

Overall, I was pleased. The only gripe I had was that you could hear the people in surrounding rooms. Some ear plugs fixed that. The shower was nice. It had marble panels. The room was updated, too. We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Me, my wife and 4 year old kid loved the stay and enjoyed a nice vacation in Winchester City. Its very close to Walmart, Bestbuy and many other stores and restaurants. The scenic view of the valley on the way to the hotel is memorable. We got in late and left early, so couldn't take advantage of the area. The staff was friendly at 11PM when we arrived and had the room key ready for us. Room was clean and comfortable and easy access to the interstate. Would stay here again.
