Great location & friendly helpful staff. Mattresses were too thin and hard. Ice Machine located too far from rooms.

Considering I was there during the PGA golf to work, this was a fantastic bargain. As long as you aren't expecting anything more than a red roof Inn, you will be completely satisfied. It's clean, the staff is very friendly, and it is centrally located. What more could you want? If you're in Hilton head, you're probably not there to sit in your hotel […] room so this place is just great. A nice hotel for the price on Hilton Head Island. I found everything to be quite nice for a 3 day stay.

This is the only hotel on Hilton Head Island that allows pets, so we had no choice but to stay there. The room was ok. The beds comfortable enough. The view out of our window faced a big brick wall, The refrigerator, had a huge iceberg growing in it so you could barely fit any food in it. The electric plug by the bathroom sink was broken.The air conditioner […] was extremely noisy. Every time it turned on it woke us all up. The staff could have been a bit more friendly. There was no breakfast and the coffee in the lobby was undrinkable. They didn't even have milk, but there's a great pancake house next door. Great location near the center of the island's hub without paying premium pricing. Nice paved bike path across the street took us right to beaches at Pope Road. Wonderful breakfast restaurant next door and gas station on property. Couldn't have asked for a nicer front desk staff!

This motel was the cheapest one on the internet but was quite satifactory. It was close to everything,front desk was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Did not have to be booked into a "big exclusive " place to enjoy our short stay.

Our room was unbeatable for the price - In the past I've paid twice as much for a room half as nice - so we were very satisfied with the accommodations. They welcomed our dogs without an additional charge - We could hear the waves on the beach when we walked them towards the back of the property. There is free wifi connectivity - and they share the […] parking lot with a nice little breakfast place called, "Stacks." If you bring your room key to Stacks they'll give you 15% off your bill. I don't remember the woman's name who took care of us in the lobby but she was very pleasant and helpful - Overall the room and the service exceeded our expectations - so if ever we need to be on the Island again for an early morning meeting, we will be back. We especially like the location. The prices are good and the coffee is great. No frills but very adequate.

on the island, nice, clean, reasonable price, can't beat it. only problem was that internet was down.

You usually get what you pay for. All in all, not bad, problem with it being a reasonable price is that they will rent to anyone, any age. We had a gang of liquored and drugged up kids staying right below and cops had to come out. Had to move car to other side of bldg.

For the price, I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel shares a parking lot with a convenience store and an amazing breakfast restaurant. It's conveniently located and made for a very nice stay. No bells and whistles, but no problems at all.

The Red Roof Inn in Hilton Head has been updated since I was there in 2010. My only real complaint would be there were spider webs everywhere, can't count the times I ran into one leaving my room. "Cheap Stay, Gross Room"
The room smelled of moldy must and cleaning products. The a/c was turned on, even though it was 62 degrees outside. There was mold in the bathroom (visible) that was black and all over the place. There was a hole in the bathroom door that you could see through. We opted to upgrade to the best room (king size bed) because it had a refridgerator, and […] it wasn't even cold. The coffee was terrible and the staff wasn't very professional. The check in experience was OK, but it was downhill after that. I only recommend this place if you need a very quick cheap stay, and can't afford anything more. I would say for the price range next time we will stay at the Days Inn if we go back. I can recommend the hotel, because is close to the beach, and the rates for the rooms are moderate. However, the service did not work very well (cleaning of the room), though the manager of the hotel tried the best.
"Just stopping through"
I own a "hotshot" transport company and drive a Ford F-350 and pull a 24 foot enclosed trailer. I was in the area and figured I would stay out on the island. The people that work there are great to deal with, made sure I had a place to park my truck and trailer with a room right next to it.

"We love RRI !!!"
Awesome stay. We usually stay at RRI because they have always had the nicest staff and we are use to the company and how they treat their guest. This hotel staff was above and beyond what we normally get. I really enjoyed our stay. Everyone that works there was so nice and went out of their way to make our stay a great one. It was like being at home […] all week. Day shift and night shift crews were all wonderful. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed. We will be back and we will be staying there. The air conditioner in the first room did not cool. We were immediately moved to another room. It looked freshly renovated. Very comfortable, very conveniently located. The staff was extremely nice.

Simple, straightforward bed near the beach - it takes about 10 minutes to go the beach and you're not guaranteed parking. If this is what you expect, you will not be disappointed.

I was looking for low cost and last minute accomodations for a trip to Hilton Head Island with my 2 kids. The hotel staff was very nice. We reserved a non-smoking room with two double beds. Though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, it had definitely been smoked in many times, and there was mold on the ceiling. The room was very much out dated […] and musty. There were roaches in bathroom which I was thankfully able to keep my from kids. The air conditioning unit worked very well. The hotel pool is a decent size and was fairly clean, and nice to have after a day at the beach. The hotel location is good and in within 1/8 mile of putt putt golf, and several restaurants. There is public beach access approximately 2 miles from the hotel in either direction off of hwy 278, with free public parking. The daily complimentary breakfast consisted of muffins, pecan twirls, or danish and coffee or fruit juice. Not horrible, but not great either. Good location. Limited parking spaces and a complete lack of towels when just getting the room were the only two low points for an otherwise good experience.

This hotel was not what I expected for the money. I was not satisfied with the bed lining. It was dingy looking and had spots on it. I didn't feel like it was santary enough. Overall I could deal with the rest of the room. It was ok and I like the area. It just wasn't close enough to my destination. Don't believe the pictures on the internet.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while waiting for our villa to be ready. The room was very small and the full size beds seemed extremely small. Not overly clean but good enough for one night. If we ever had to do this again I would try a different budget hotel.

The hotel was friendly and accomodating. On checking in, our room had a strong smell of smoke. I went to the staff and immediately changed our room. Thanks. I would recommend this for the price.

This hotel offers a pretty good location, it is across the street from the bike path which takes you to many different beaches on the island. There are plenty of places to walk, ride a bike, or drive to for eating and shopping as well. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was comfy, loved the HBO!

Tiki Bar on the beach looks like it belongs to the Holiday Inn on the water but it is open to the public they make great Margaritas! Room wasnt fancy but my main concern was finding a hotel on Hilton Head Island that wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg for having a pet! The TV is old fashion the sheets and blankets are out of style.
