Jameson Inn Elkhart - Elkhart

I was traveling with my two dogs and this property has a very pet-friendly policy, nice area for taking the dogs for walks, and a big, spacious room. The carpeting was a bit soiled, but that could be because we were in one of the "pet" rooms. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was nice and quiet, and the breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel was fine except for the huming noise in my room. Not sure where it was coming from. It kept me up on and off most of the night.

The first room was not clean , stains on bedskirt , holes in the bathroom wall and the room smelled musty/smoky. I requested another room which was better. I went to get some cups(none in the room)from the cleaning staff, the person was rude. I will find another place to stay for the money.

It was a very nice stay a few thins could have been a little better but overall I enjoyed myself.

The hotel was fine as we were only staying one night. They allow dogs, and I was very happy as it smelled great. The breakfast was okay, and the kids enjoyed the pool.

We were driving across the Country and having trouble finding hotels with outdorr pools (mainly in the west and midwest). We loved the Jameson. Our room was great (we didn't need anything too fancy). Go in to the downtown area if you have the opportunity as it is really quaint and fun. Our only negatives about the hotel have to do with the customer […] service: we only had a half full shampoo (about 1/2 ounce) so we asked for 2 more and were told to "come down and get it ourselves" and when we asked for a late checkout (on a sunday with the hotel more than 75% empty, we were told "it is not possible"... we just wanted to stay at the pool and be able to shower at about 1:00 p.m.".... great hotel.... not such great employees. Obivious 2d owner facility. First room unsat due to noise of refridgerator. 2d room just as bad. Carpet filthy. When you leave black foot prints in tub when stepping in you know there is a problem. Didn't need the attitude of the desk staff. Was in Elkhart for an unpleasant situation. Didn't need that added to by Hotel.

The reviews online led me to believe this was a real winner--several steps above the nearby Holiday Inn Express. It's not. The service was great. Staff very friendly. The hotel, however, had a funky Febreeze-y stink going on, and the room could have been better cleaned. At first glance, it was perfect, aside from the rattling fridge which we unplugged. […] But later I spilled a little water on the carpet. When I went to dry it up with a towel, the towel came up brown. Not a good sign. Also, my allergies went from 0 to 10 after 5 minutes in the room: another bad sign. rooms where nice, but the the price of the room was a bit toomuch. seemed like the hotel needed some updates.

We stay here when we visit Notre Dame and provides a good, inexpensive alternative on game weekends. It's a good all purpose hotel. Certainly will not be confused for the Ritz, but you can't ask for more in a little Midwest town

The hotel was great - our only complaint was that the outdoor pool temp was FREEZING for such a warm day---- we couldn't use it.... :(

We went to Elkhart for a family reunion but did not stay in the hotel where the others stayed. The Jameson Inn was only 1 mile away and considerably cheaper, and after the other family members mentioned that their rooms seemed so small, we were really glad we chose the Jameson Inn.

Staff was nice at the hotel.

The hotel location was great for the multiple areas we wanted to visit. Once we made it to the hotel, we didn't need to hit any toll roads to get where we wanted to go. The staff was very nice. I probably had direct contact with 6 different employees during our stay and all were professional and nice.

Has really improved since our last stay.

The Hotel was right off the interstate so it was very easy to find with plenty of restaurants and shopping surrounding it. Was clean, and maintained well.

The hotel is in a decent area. You are right at the toll road if you are a road traveler. The room was cool and there is a swimming pool on the property. There are three cool eating spots in the area that are within short walking distance. Not sure if it was because we are an interracial couple or not, but the staff was not very friendly.

My wife and I had an enjoyable two-night stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and there was a lot to see and do in the surrounding area.

Hotel was clean, room was very nice. Even though they were nearly filled to capacity, it was quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again.

We chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the Amish area. Clean and friendly surroundings. Variety of restaurants within walking distance. Would stay there again.

Rooms were inconsistently maintained on a daily basis. Bed was not made one day and then made the next day. Used towels were sometimes just folded and put back on the rack. Disposable products in the room were of the cheapest quality.

Right off I-80/90, great pool, restaurants across the street, clean and comfortable.

We were there for a Notre Dame graduation, with our two children and everything work perfect. The people at the hotel is wonderful. The price is great.

I love the Jameson Inn Elkhart! The staff is pleasant and friendly. The rooms are upscale, great quality and very lovely. The bedding smells good and is just as nice as being at home. went to spend time with family the hotel was very nice and the earlier reviews said stuff bout the mini-fridge making noise at 3 in the morning. well i wasn't woke up at 3 in the morning. would recommend this hotel to anyone

The Jameson was clean, updated, and comfortable. Nice room, good service, great coffee. Keycard had a discount for Texas Roadhouse right across the street. Nice stay overall.

We drove from Boston for a BC vs. Notre Dame game and stayed in Elkhart. Great proximity to South Bend. Very very friendly staff, very clean, very comfy. Decent breakfast that filled us up adequately before heading out to the game. A non-smoking hotel but there was quite a bit of lingering cigarette smoke smell in the hallways. Room clean, however; no odors there. Front desk staff helpful. Breakfast uninteresting. WiFi unreliable. Overall, adequate for the price. There are probably better options nearby, but this was serviceable.

I was close to maintenance room and a pump ran all night at 5-10 second intervals. It was a water pump and it appeared a seal was leaking so it could not build up and pressure. No need to complain since nobody could fix it.

We thought it was a great value for the room rate that we paid through Hotels.com We have stayed there previously.

I was very pleased with the value of this hotel. The room was clean adn the bed was very comfortable. We walked across the street to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Olive Garden and Bob Evans were also within walking distance. We'll stay there again if we have the need to stay in the area.

Hotel was an oasis. Plenty of restaurants surrounding. Rooms were good size and beds very comfortable. refridgerator was very noisy. Staff were freindly and very helpful. Will not look fa=or alternate accomodation in this area for future stays

had handicap room,& grab bar in shower gave way, & caused fall in tub. Personal were very accomadating,but it should never have happened

if this hotel chain would join choice hotels, this would be my hotel.

We spent four nights at the Jameson, and will stay here again when we come to the area. There is shopping nearby, restaurants everywhere, and the motel itself is quite clean and quiet. The breakfast is OK but not outstanding. We recommend staying here.
