The hotel is nice and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the windows are the louver type which means that they do not keep out noise very well. Could hear a baby crying in the apartment complex next to the hotel and it did not quiet down till after 10:30 (on a Thursday night).

For the price it was great, free breakfast, wine/cheese/cookies/milk/internet bikes to ride to beach. Rooms were not fancy but clean. Only complaint was the pillows weren't comfortable. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would stay again.

We had a charming stay at the Brisas del Mar. Friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful wine and cheese reception every night. The breakfast each morning was outstanding, very fresh and a nice variety. Overall a lovely experience!

We chose this hotel as an anniversary getaway. The staff and service were great, but our room (although very roomy and clean) and the hotel setting turned out to be better suited for a family vacation than a romantic weekend.

We had a great weekend getaway in this hotel near the beach. The customer service is first class and the staff was very knowledgeable on the surrounding points of interest. Room was a bit dated, but clean and neat. Would recommend that you choose rooms with the plantation shutters. Suites are roomy. We would definitely stay there again.

So many unexpected treats, nothing was too much trouble.

Clean, comfortable room in a convenient location. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. They allowed us to check in earlier which meant we could get a full day's sightseeing in. The hotel have bicycles for guests to use. We really enjoyed our morning cycling along the pier and the cycle path alongside the beach fronts. I thought it was disingenuous for their photos to mislead what the property looks like. Yes, what the photos show are accurate, but they show the front section of the property, an obvious add-on. What is not seen is that the majority of the property is an old motel-like property. I really liked this hotel.. It was beautiful from the outside.. It was very blah inside, but beyond that, the staff was very nice! Loved the breakfast, Love the wine and cheese.. Really liked the hotel!!

This is a great place, staff super friendly and great location. Lovely room with a kitchen and sitting room. Really cosy and clean. Fabulous Italian restaurant around the corner. Would recommend to stay here.

The hotel is very conveniently located to get to the beach as well as eating establishments. The service was good and the folks there were very helpful.

Comfortable bed, quiet location free & tasty breakfast . Wine, fruit & cheese in afternoon also milk & cookies in the evening. Congenial staff. Very pleased

Staff is great, everything about this great hotel is wonderful, we loved it and will be staying again very soon!

Our stay at Brisas del Mar was fabulous! The service was amazing and the room was adorable. The extras the hotel provides for free made our stay extra special! We loved the breakfast, the wine and cheese reception in the evenings, the cookies at night, the beac cruisers, the DVD collection and the pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back!

We wanted to stay in a nice, clean comfortable room, be close to shops and activities, close to the beach, great service and be reasonably priced. Well, Brisas del Mar Inn has all that and more! The better than the usual continental breakfast was a good start for each day, the afternoon wine and cheese, free movie rental-huge library of them, and the […] evening milk and delicious cookies all were a hit! We rode the complimentary bicycles too. It was our first time to Santa Barbara and the staff at the Inn were very helpful in giving suggestions as to where to go and all the nearby activities. This hotel (motel) goes beyond what I expected. Wonderful continental breakfast, complimentary bicycles to ride, wine and cheese in the afternoon and cookies and milk in the evening. William was our check-in Host and was most helpful with ideas for our wine tasting stops and places to eat. The pool is small but a very enjoyable atmosphere. We had a wonderful time at this hotel . The rooms were spacious and it had a B&B feel to it. The breakfast , wine and cheese and cookies and milk were a plus. We enjoyed it all. The staff was always helpful.

The only thing I didn't like was the bed pillows were "dead". But, I didn't complain, so I shouldn't mention it. Also, the two side chairs were very wobbly. Thought they might crash to the floor. Again, I didn't complain. Overall, the hotel was very clean and nice looking. The bathroom cabinet needs replacing (updated).

At first impression, my family and I were very disapointed because the websight had promised a sprawling mediteranean style hotel, and in reality the majority of the rooms are in a courtyard layout overlooking a massive parking lot. It has the feel of an upgraded motel and the decor in the rooms is mediocre. Great last minute get -away! Parked the car upon arrival and never used it until leaving. Walked or used the hotels bikes to get around. Location is close enough to walk or bike to beach, shops and dining. Kids loved the warm cookies and milk in the evenings!

Great value a couple of blocks from the beach. Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice, great pool/hot tub and clean rooms with quality linens (often found in more high end hotels). Old-style motel with some updating. No view from the small room. Maxwell-House-ish coffee for the coffeemaker. Continental breakfast: fruit, cereal, bagels, pastries, hard boiled eggs, juice, same coffee. The hotel was not as advertised! It describes itself as enchanting, romantic, and fancy. Rather, it is a bit old, you park near your room ( like a motel) and it is wedged between a gas station and a nasty apartment building. The rooms are a bit old and the accessories are also dated. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the main area, State Street, […] which was about the only benefit. If it had been described as it really is, then we wouldn't have been so disappointed. Nice hotel, nice location, although the neighborhood was a bit rough. I would reccomend this hotel ONLY if they got a suite. My room was not a suite and the bedrooms are right by the hallway. We stayed here for 4 nights and were delighted with our accomodation. The photos on the website do not do it justice! The entrance to the hotel was beautiful, flowers everywhere and a lovely fountain. It was immaculate and so well kept. We had booked a room for 3 persons. It turned out we had a full kitchen, a living area with a bed settee and a double […] bedroom and adjoining bathroom. The decor was lovely and again everything was immaculate. The pool was quite small, however this didn't seem to be a problem, it was nicely heated and very well maintained. The breakfast that was included was excellent, lovely Danish pastries, fresh fruit etc. Cheese an wine served every afternoon and then milk and cookies in the evening. Use of hotel bikes for a couple of hours at a time was another bonus. I couldn't recommend it highly enough and would be confident about recommending it to anyone. We were pleasantly surprised by the location and quality of our room at Las Brisas. The staff were very helpful, breakfast and evening snacks a nice touch, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We'll stay here again when we're in town and we would recommend it in a heartbeat.
