A very decent hotel. They did not have a tooth brush though when a guest needed one.
The room was nice but kinda small. The location was great for where we wanted to be. The breakfast was the best did not expect it to be that much and tasted good too.

It was fine. We chose it for the location. The dining area was very crowded on Sun. morning, but we were able to find a seat and have some breakfast.

For the rice we paid, I was not impressed; kind of dingy. It advertised a fitness room which is improtant to me. It had 2 pieces of equipment, and one did not seem to work. Disappointing

There was too much noise as construction noise since 8 am and internet service was so slow.
Very nice hotel for the money. Staff very nice and helpful. Great continental breakfast good variety. The room nice and spacious. Very convenient to Duke University.

We stayed three nights at this hotel while visiting a relative at Duke Hospital. The location is quite convenient, and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I would say it was a bargain for the rate we paid.

This motel was sufficient, but not much more. The lightening in the room was poor and one of the floorlamps didn't work and buzzed if you could get it on briefly. The staff and the breakfast were fine.

My daughter needed a hotel to stay in before the dorm re-opened. Everything here was perfect. She especially enjoyed the wonderful breakfast. thank you for being available. We will be back.
"Shabby hotel, unhelpful staff"
Very disappointing stay. The hotel was very shabby, and the staff were generally unhelpful. First room we got into, the AC did not work. Clerk did not offer to bring us keys to new room or to bring the cart, even though he saw us move many bags into the room. Our keys only worked some of the time and had to be reprogrammed twice. Fitness room was closed […] for rennovation, but the staff was unaware that it was closed. "I WILL BE BACK!!!"
We came to see a Duke basketball game. The hotel is conveniently located to the campus and is close to a large variety of reasonably priced foods.

The hotel needs new carpet and the key cards to the door don't often work. My room was comfortable. Parking is free and plenty of spaces available. I didn't have the breakfast, but it looked as though many guests were using that service. This is a functional hotel with easy access to Duke Medical Center.

This hotel was located close to my end destination, but the overall experience was not to my liking. The hotel rooms are older and in need of modernizing. The carpets, especially in the main hallways are in desperate need of cleaning (deep cleaning). Also, the main elevator had a terrible odor. There were "tree" air fresheners in the elevator and stuck […] in the air vents in the main hallways. Breakfast was included in the price, but everyone in our party agreed that the waffles were not up to snuff. The front desk staff was pleasant and easy to deal with during our check-in and arrival. Great free shuttle within 5 miles of hotel- very convenient but only until 4pm. Place was clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning in the sweltering heat of the summer but unfortunately, the pool was out of commission because some previous 'guests' ripped the filter out of the bottom of the pool and it needed to be repaired. The close proximity to Clinic made a difficult trip so much easier. We appreciated the pool and the lovely breakfast. It may be time to replace very worn bath towels. I would surely will stay here in the future if need be.
"Ok for a one night stay"
It was ok for a one night stay for the price. We checked in around 9pm and had to wait at the desk for nearly five minutes before anyone showed. The lobby and room was clean and cool but the hallways were hot and stuffy. People were nice but I wouldn't want to be there more than one night.

THE BATHROOM HAD HAIR ALL ON THE FLOOR AND IN ALL THE WASHCLOTHS AND TOWELS. THE OTHER GUEST ON OUR FLOOR WAS VERY NOISY.

Great location from V.A. medical center, Duke Univ. and hospital. Also good eating places and light shopping . The area is very clean and kept. I have one complain, and it is very important. In the room that i was in the,dirty towels were never removed from the room and the trash was never removed.

Our arrival after a long flight was greeted by a manager who said they were too busy to take care of us, come back at 2:30, we did and found the lobby packed, just the one person, manager, in sight,And lots of people. we were told, no one admitted until 3:00. ok, but now there was a huge line and only one on duty. We managed to get into the room at […] 3:35 to find that the door to the room was defective and took a huge and loud push to open. That continued to bother ne for two days. I booked my hotel through Hotels.com for 2 adults and 1 pet, and when I got there, the hotel charged me an additional non refundable pet fee of 50 dollars. This was our second stay... Close proximity to Duke Medical Center. The room was clean enough, bed was comfortable. Good enough for a place to sleep with easy access to the hospital and freeway.

"Great Value for Money - Very Comfortable"
We were visiting Duke University and the hotel was very convenient location-wise. Breakfast was surprisingly more sumptuous than expected for the hotel rate (not just bagels and coffee). Bathroom was modest but clean and adequate. The double beds could have been wider. The room was just right for our one-night stay.
