Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites near Busch Gardens-USF - Tampa

The quality of the hotel is more or less of a motel. The staff was friendly but we had to ask several times for different things missing...like pool towels, etc...horrible restaurant service and poor quality. Will not stay here again.

I love everything about this hotel. This is my second time staying here and my second time with a great experience.

Hotel had good reviews and a good location so we tried it out. Reserved a king suite. Initially thought the room was small, but that wasn't a big deal. We have a 10 month old and after letting her get down and crawl on the carpet after a few minutes when I picked her up, her hands and feet were black........obviously the carpet isn't cleaned with any […] regularity. Upon leaving to go to Busch Gardens the house keeper asked what we wanted done to the room, my wife asked that the trash be changed and the housekeeper simply handed her a trash bag....... It is really a good thing I wasn't there when this transpired. I found that the front desk staff was kind and helpful but the dirty room and rude housekeepers made ruined this place for me and there is no way that I would recommend staying there. I suppose the room hasn't been used for awhile. The carpet was wet, probably because moisture in air, the smell was terrible, the cleaning was not good. The hotel looks nice in the pictures but gives another expression when you live there. They even charged us $ 15 for food we didn't have ordered, and we gave up that discussion with the hotel. $ 15 […] is not that much but it is annoying. Not more visits for us in this hotel anymore. The best hotel & Suite to visit when in Tampa Florida, this hotel is very roomy,with private rooms from family room. Sofa bed,table, microwave, refrigerator , and great coffee. Location is great, just need more parking space for guests. But overall wonderful hotel. Mrs.A. The Big family.*-*

Pleased with the amenities in the room. Was in the front of the hotel and it was a bit noisy from the trafiic. I had earplugs and didn't hear it but my husband heard the traffic. Room was quaint and basically clean. Although the fabric on the chair and couch was dirty. Overall quite plesed with my stay. I would stay again.

Location, location, location! Less than 2 miles from Busch Gardens and they provide a shuttle there for free. Hotel is in great shape and you can tell they really put a lot of work into the building and the rooms. Highly recommended!

This hotel is very convenient to Busch Gardens and the hotel itself is perfectly fine. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and spacious. My only problem was with the surrounding neighborhood. While I had no problems at all, I was slightly concerned about walking into the hotel at night by myself and I absolutely would not go for an evening stroll […] around this place alone. Chose hotel because of convenience to VA and we were not disappointed. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was accessible and helpful.

The pleasant staff made my stay also pleasant. Front desk, restaurant, bar staff to the person were helpful and personable. The courtyard in the center of the facility really added to the ambiance.

Older hotel but well kept with very friendly staff. Great driver service to close destinations like Busch Gardens.

This property is run down, will not recommend this to anyone, unless you have no other place to go. The rooms / the bathrooms are all run down, not clean, and for the price it was not even worth 10% of what I paid. Motel 6 would have been a better choice.

Desk clerks not friendly on check in - requested rooms together - they said they did not have rooms available that were together. I told them that is not what I was told when I called. Then after 30 minutes on the phone with his supervisor they found rooms side by side. Check out - lady very nice. Pool area dirty - no clean towels - when we ask for […] towels they said in a few minutes - in pool for an hour and no towels. Pull out bed - sheets dirty in one room. Nice hotel. Close to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. Rooms were clean. Service was great. Will stay here again in the future.

Very friendly staff

When going to Bucsh Gardens we have stayed at this location for the fact that it is close and very clean. Also the kids like the pool and we like the tiki bar!! Rooms were very nice, only one thing i didn't like, the pillows were small.

Our stay was not a pleasant one. Our beds where made but they had never changed the shets from previously! Then when we complained at front desk they gave us a 15% any item we ordered for food. Let's just say we never used it we stayed at Busch Gardens all day and the coupon was for only one day. We were there in the hotel for 2 nights. Would not recommend […] to anyone! We stayed here when we attended the Bay Area Renaissance Festival (Yes, that's BARF for those of you paying attention), so we didn't spend a lot of tiem in the room. The staff and shuttle driver were friendly, knowledgeable about the area, entheusiastic to help and fun. We were put in a 'handicapped' (or whatever the PC term is, please don't stone me) […] room, which is not a problem in and of itself. The room was clean and somewhat modern, but the bathroom shower had full access, meaning there is nothing on the bottom of the shower to prevent water from pervading the bathroom floor. Nothing more than an inconvenience and a terrible use of towels, but I always feel guilty getting a room for the handicapped - like I'm taking that room from somone who might need that type of access. The mattress was a somewhat overused spring number which jiggled like jello every time one of us moved, and the pillows were about what you'd expect at a hotel: neither firm nor soft, but prolaiming to be either based on the tag attached to it by a ribbon. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, but I might be willing to try another hotel in the area next time I'm up that way, but I would have absolutely no problem staying at if Holiday Inn Busch Gardens again. Very friendly staff, rooms are small and out of date. Not as nice as pictures

Don't let the star rating of this Hotel fool you, in that the service levels of the staff at this hotel is 5 star, all the way. Excellent customer service, friendly, accommodating, especially of special requests like birthday surprises and such. Felt like a home away from home . . . a special thank you to Chris, Trevor, Hank, Linda, Dan, Audrey, Tara […] . . . etc., for all your efforts to make my friend Peggy's birthday so special. Disappointing. Check in was very slow, but clerk was very nice. The room had two areas but both were dimly lit.. The room had two Tv's but neither worked, had two phones but only 1 worked and the floor lamp was falling over. Called front desk 2x ,were shot handed and quite busy. was able to get someone to room in our absence to check out phones and […] Tvs. They did get one of the tvs working, but picture wasn't good and u couldn't change the channel. Bathroom was the worst, the floor and tiled areas around floor were filthy . The bathroom fan was very loud, door squeaked and was in the room with bed and the sink was outside the bathroom at the foot of the bed. Not a very good layout. So if someone got up during the night so wasn't the other person. The clerk did offer us a free drink due to the delay with check-in, however, we opted not to try anything else at hotel, only stayed one night. Przeczytaj więcej

pool was not heated and no hot tub

Staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Older but well maintained suite that was a good value for the money; not Hilton, but clean and comfortable. Univ. of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center within one mile. Plenty of restaurants and shopping very close.

We rented 3 rooms and all were problem free.(parents with 4 teenagers and 1 10 year old) Shuttle service is EXCELLENT. Pool was comfortable. Noise level was good,food was good. Location is perfect, few minutes from everything, ( Movies,Restaurants,CVS, Bush Gardens ). We would ( and will ) definitely recommend staying there as well as stay there ag […] ain. For the price and location near Busch Gardens, this hotel is very good. However, the interior space is a little small and the furnishings are dark. For the right price, I would recommend this hotel, but would also look at other nearby options.

This hotel is was very beautiful and close proximity to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, our reason for staying there. However, the room was full of roaches. I will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Better than I expected at a Holiday Inn. The rooms were clean and spacious. There were two adults and two teenagers in our room and we had plenty of room. The pool/hot tub/tiki bar was a great amenity that you do not normally get for the price that I paid. Tudo legal mas a internet wi-fi simplesmente não funciona, isso foi decepcionante, o que minimizou o problema foi que o hotel disponibilizava 2pc para os hospedes
