I was very impressed by the professionalism of the hotel employees. I had prompt attention when the remote would'nt work for the tv, also, towels were brought to our room fast. The room was very clean. The front desk clerks were very pleasant. My over-all stay was really great. Would definitely stay there again.
It's a typical budget hotel. If you want to save money and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the traffic on the highway the hotel's next to, this is the place for you.

"About what I expected"
I was traveling by myself and was in town for meetings. I knew I wouldn't be spending my time at the hotel, so it was fine for my purposes. No bells and wistles, not a great location, pretty run-down building. Wouldn't take my family. But they kept the room clean, were friendly and it was cheap!

I don't usually write reviews but the staff at this hotel was great! They were friendly and helpful. We got to the hotel before our check in time but was given a room with only about 15 minute wait. The remote in our room wasn't working, it took all of 5 minutes for them to replace it. The room was clean and neat. We had a smoking room. Usually those […] are not the best rooms. The beds were so comfortable with clean linens. Kind of wish the bathroom had a vent, it got kind of steamy from the shower. Everything you need, is in walking distance. Convenience store, smoke shop, liquor store, gas station. The only issue I have is, the hotel discription says 2.14 miles from downtown. We found that was not true, or at least not in driving miles. Day Inn Louisville - Arthur St. - Older hotel with basic clean service. Quiet location. Could not receive NBC channel on TV and had limited channels. Close by to University of Louisville, access to interstates, and to NAILE livestock show. Would stay there again for the value.

Cheap and dirty. Half the outlets didn't work so it was tough to keep the lights on. TV is old and channel options are limited. Not a real problem for the trip I was on (going to bourbon distilleries and horse races with a buddy) but I wouldn't recommend it for families, women, children, people who love clean rooms, etc.

The hotel is close to UofL but the surrounding area is pretty industrial (deserted and not very well lit during non-work hours). It's close to the freeway so if you're a light sleeper it may be bothersome. Otherwise, it's just two miles away from Churchill Downs and about three miles from downtown. There is bus service (walk about .5 miles to buses […] to the airport, downtown, Bardstown and shuttle around UofL that will take you closer to Churchill Downs) and free parking. Breakfast was decent: coffee/tea, hot/cold cereal, small bagels, toast, fruit and Eggo-like waffles. Building wise it is clean but old. Staff was friendly and helpful. NOTHING like posted pics...VERY OLD and run down..stains on chairs in room, elevator filthy...Shower curtain was about 4 inches longer than it should be covered 1/3rd of the tub (inside) as you showered... holes in bedspread. "Did not feel safe, will never stay here again."
Door would barely close. I did not feel safe here at all, especially having my small children with me. I will pay for a more expensive hotel next time. WIll never stay here again. It felt very dirty and smelled bad!

door wouldn't shut completely had gab can see in hall way, bathroom was disgusting dirty scum in the bath tub. Rooms were very dirty over all even the low rate was not worth paying.

The room we checked into was moldy, and we definitely didn't want to sleep there. We called the front desk and they were polite and professional. We were moved to another room that wasn't moldy, but it was probably 25 yards from the interstate. Overall, the motel was very run down. There are surely better places to stay in the area.

When we maid the reservation the advertisment was we have internet in the room. We got there and surprise "no internet " WE got to go to the lobby to get the internet. The room was not clean. We will never go to Days Inn.

Lady at front desk was great air conditioner never keep room cool very warm when booked room was told had contract with cab co to go to fairgrounds $5 that was not the case
