Had a very nice stay in Chevy Chase. Rooms were clean, but seemed a little smaller than other Embassy Suites I've stayed at in the past. Loved the full,... hot cooked-to-order breakfast that was included with the room. Makes a huge difference in the food budget with 5 people! Kids had a good time in the pool, and the hot tub was really relaxing after a day of sightseeing! All the hotel staff, from the women at Registration to the cooks at breakfast were very friendly and super helpful! And having the Metro rail stop directly adjacent to the hotel was REALLY convenient, especially when it was raining on the first day of our stay. CONS: 1) Parking fees! Not used to paying to park at a hotel. As a guest of the hotel, you would expect parking to be free or at least discounted. But $25/night parking fees ARE the norm for any of the hotels I looked at in the DC area. 2) Elevators/Escalators - They are a maze at this location. Escalator from the front entrance to the Registration lobby, then an elevator back down to parking. A different elevator from registration to the rooms. And another different elevator from registration down to an escalator over to the Metro entrance.
