The rooms were clean. The breakfast was really sufficient. Beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff were nice. Venesa was very friendly and very informative.

If your looking for decent and clean, this hotel is good. It's nothing fancy but the staff is polite and the rates are OK. I wasn't impressed with the continental breakfast but overall, it was a good hotel.

When I looked for hotel in San Antonio, this one seems super close to the city. When I got there, it was acceptable, but not as close as I expected. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. She gave me lots of information and provide everything I need to know promptly. The hotel seems old, so the carpet is not very clean, and the breakfast […] area is very small. There are not enough seats for people. However, again, the lady who serves that area was nice. She greets to you, and asked if you need anything. Relative to the price, it was a good purchase. The staff was friendly and professional. There is a HUGE transformer right next to the building which provides a lovely view and I'll have to get checked for potential radiation contamination, but overall it is convenient to the River Walk and clean. My wife and I had six wonderful days at the hotel. Hotel and room were clean. Staff very courteous and helpful. A little off the beaten path, but other hotels are in the same neighborhood also. For the price it is a great value.

Room is spacious, very clean overall, close to tourist sites, friendly staff. Indoors pool awesome open 10 to 10 but wished it was open longer. breakfast was delicious.

I am a very picky person when it comes to hotel, i dont like public things thats why. but gotta say Service is great here. Came in the a fresh and clean up, not to mention its a pretty big suite with decent prize. Big TV. Like the fact that the sheet are white so it made you feel like the bed is clean. Not sure if it was the hotel or this website, but instead of the two-king with a full-size fridge, I got a three-king with a dorm fridge. After I mentioned this, they switched me to a one-king with a Jacuzzi. The clerk said the room I originally booked was sold out at the time of booking. The beds were hard, typical of all the Best Westerns I've stayed […] at, but acceptable. The location is about two blocks to the freeway (I-35) and a mile or so from downtown, but next to a lot with transmission lines; none of my personal broadband devices worked, but the hotel's WiFi worked well. Overall we were pleased with our stay. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. We had been riding our motorcycles for many hours on a hot day. She saw that we were hot and offered us each a nice cold bottle of water. We encountered a little problem when our keys would not work on day 2 of our stay. Very relaxing. Staff was very courteous. They went above and beyond to make sure me and my family were comfortable. We had a great stay. The indoor pool was perfect since it was raining outside. The room was very clean and comfortable, very spacious for my family of 5.

The Room was surface clean, but there was dirty feminine thing on the floor by the dresser and under the dresser there was trash, that the supervisor said they couldn't move the dresser, but we saw it just sitting on the bed.the staff put us in a room, then another guest knocked on the door to say it was his room, we went to the front desk and they […] moved us. then we went to dinner and our keys didn't work, so when we went to the front desk they said they had to move our luggage and when we got back to our room it was in our room but not where we left it. Stayed here on the way to South Texas. Wanted something close to Alamo and River Walk. Exceeded my expectations. Very nice facilities and close to Alamo and River Walk. Staff was very helpful and told us about Fiesta that was going on on town. Very satisfied.

Hotel was located right off the expressway, not near the Riverwalk or other downtown attractions. Too far to walk. But it lacked there it made up for with a very friendly staff always willing to help and a clean, comfortable room.

Our stay in Best Western in San Antonio was both comfortable and the service was very professional. If we come to San Antonio again, we will not be hesitant to stay at Best Western again.

I liked the hotel. It was nice and clean. We walked to the Market Square. I thought it was closer to downtown but it was okay. I had a good stay. The breakfast is pretty good too.

At first the room they put us in smelled like mildew and the ac would not cool the room down. So we had to switch rooms the next room was a lot better.

A car is a must here, although the location is near to the must-sees of San Antonio with a drive of a couple miles. We had one problem in that two of our party needed a handicap room; it was requested a week prior to the trip tho not at original booking; requested again at check-in; we were told none was available; that they'd "try" to find a shower […] seat. Not sure anyone tried, but on further complaint and request, the upshot was a handicap room was found for us with a required room change at 10:30 pm. Pleasantly surprised that the in-room refrigerator was actually full-sized instead of the small ones that fit under the counter. We were able to buy groceries and fit them in the refrigerator to save money on meals. Everything was very clean and spacious (we stayed in a room on the first floor). The name says Alamo Suites downtown, however, it is not in middle of downtown, it is actually around 2 1/2 miles from it. If you have transportation that would be fine I suppose but I did not and had to take a cab to convention center every day because the surrounding area is very shady and unsafe. I was told about the trolley service but they let you […] out two blocks away and one evening by the time they dropped me off at the stop, it was dark and I had to walk in two blocks in the dark - very scary area. The sliding glass door leading to the balcony in my room was unlocked, the safety bar not down and I did not realize it the night I arrived (I informed front desk but they did not seem concerned at all), I only realized it the following morning because I was looking outside to see what the weather was like.
