The carpet felt dirty and the floors looked dirty. My husband and I and my two sons stayed. They gave us 2 washcloths and when we asked for more they said they couldnt. There were not many people staying at the time we did so I dont know why they would be running short. "Super8 Ocean View, Va"
We stayed 3 nights in June and 2 nights in August. Compared to 4 star hotels the room could not have been any better. It has ocean front access, a beautiful pool and the grounds were clean and well kept. We have recomended to many of our friends and all including us will be staying there in the future.

"You Get What you paid for"
My family was looking for a place to stay as a base for visiting Virginia Beach at the last minute without breaking the bank and this place fit the bill. The neighborhood is okay but there is really nothing in walking distance except a 7-eleven. The TV, fridge, and microwave were all clean and in proper working order as was the microwave. The pool was […] also clean and was open. The hotel was minutes off of I-64 and the trip to and from the beach was consistently 30 minutes. The location looked better when I was still able to get back from the beach despite a 6 mile (one afternoon) and a 4 mile (one evening) backup on I-64 with a few simple detours. One surprise, they did offer a simple breakfast (cereal, donuts and coffee) even though it was listed as not-included when I made our reservation. Cons: This is a bare-budget franchise operation. We only had three towels for my wife and I and our two kids and had to request more. The beds were not comfortable, I did get to sleep and rested well once I did but getting there was not always easy. Whatever they used to code the keys was supersensitive. I ended up having to get them recoded a couple of times. The beach outside he hotel had no waves and had a jellyfish problem. If you stay here, the drive to Virginia Beach is worth it. The trashcan down by the stairs outside our room (about 40 feet away) had a bad odor and the constant presence of flies there. The first night we had to kill off about 6 of them. It looks like maintenance is always working to catch up with painting, but they are unsuccessful. Finally, the last night tthere, a series of jets fying to the naval base made a heck of a racket. Everyone heard them regardless of their state of sleep. For the cost at the last minute, I would stay here again. It allowed us to spend more elsewhere. They didn't have enough towels for all the people i had. I asked and they said they did have any. The front decks clerk didn't even look just set on the couch.

Unclean rooms, odor and... never again!
"Poor staff"
The hotel was ok. Staff was very loud and obnoxious when speaking tto other staff members. And I walked by the same open condom by the pool for two days straight, no staff member bothered cleaning it. The mattresses were disgusting and there was a broken piece of a " glass pipe" on the floor in the "cleaned" room. Would not stay again.
I have stayed at this motel many times. I would prefer a better breakfast but I enjoy the location and the pool. For the price this motel is an excellent choice even on the visits when I found flaws.

"Bathroom was dirty"
The bathroom and tub had hair in it, and the coffee pot had mold in it. They promised to clean it and never showed up. I was so unhappy with our room we left and lost our money. Please do not stay here.

I knew by the price not to expect alot, but when we walked in both my wife and I felt we needed to clean things up a bit. "Not what I was expecting!!"
I understand that the price is cheap, but you can go to the dollar store and buy a five dollar iron. I wasn't expecting the doors on the rooms to be that open when I see hotel I think of me having to walk in a lobby and the rooms are inside the building. Other than that it was a good place to stay for a few hours.

"nice location"
The room was very nice and comfortable. the only problem was the tub didnt drain while showering. and the bathroom wasnt very clean. They didnt not restock the coffee either and when we asked for coffee for the next morning they still did not put in the room.

"Everthings straight at the Chesapeake Super 8"
I have stayed at this hotel for many years before this last stay. It is in the best location, for travels north of Norfolk and travels south of Norfolk. It has a beach to it's rear, and it's not too far away from Virginia Beach. There are only a few draw backs to staying at this hotel. "On the Beach"
Was only looking for a bed and a hot shower for one night and was perfectly content with my stay.
"Only good thing was on the shore line"
I booked a non-smoking room. Did not receive one and hotel would not budge. Asked the front desk for enough towels in our room. Told me to find housekeeping - front desk should have told housekeeping. Air conditioner leaked water and completely soaked the carpet (record heat week). Maintenance used the carpet shampooer to clean up water, but never fixed […] the air conditioner. The carpet was soaked our entire stay. Our door dead bolt was falling off, as well as the door had to be slammed to even shut. Hotel staff blocked parking closest to the rooms for their own parking. The best thing about this hotel was the surprise of seeing the bay outside the room door. What we didn't like was the outdated room. The security lock was broken, the bathroom needed serious updated and recaulking and the bed linens could have been much better. The continental breakfast was less than desired. "Great for the money"
I was staying for a few days with my boyfriend cause he had just gotten back from deployment... The hotel is right in front of the ocean . It's a little bit of a drive to virgina beach and u have to drive a little bit if u want to get something to eat, but the hotel it's self was really clean and the staff is very friendly. Will stay there again :)

The hotel was very run down and I am surprised that super 8 has not removed their flag from this hotel. The neighborhood was in the heart of section 8 housing. The beds themselves had been cleaned as well as the bathroom, but the chairs, baseboards, etc. were filthy. Move on and find something else.

"Great Room for the money"
Affordable, Great View of the Bay, Very relaxed admosphere. Close enough to walk the Bay at night. I truly enjoyed my stay. I stayed in 2008 I chose the wrong room. No Bay View. The Bay view makes a big difference

Nothing is better than having a private beach steps away. If you want a bayfront room away from all the comotion of VA Beach, then this is the motel for you. If your going to the Norva and want a room with a beach, you can stay here!

Отель не рекомендуем. Грязный номер, ванна вся в чужих волосах, мусор на полу, кондей грохочет, да в дополнение к нему над отелем летают переодически, начиная с 10 рм военные самолеты - СУПЕР!!! В отеле только переночевали и были рады выехать. Из плюсов: есть бассейнчик, пляж рядом (3 минуты).
