North Sydney is a compact secondary central business district. High-rise offices, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and a few small shopping malls dominate. Busy from Monday–Friday, it quiets down on weekends, but within 1 km is the relaxed, al fresco café, pub, and restaurant scene of Blues Point Road. Trendy Kirribilli is not much further away at the northern base of the Harbour Bridge.

We were recommended to stay at The Harbourview as we were attending a function at Luna Park and we wanted to be close by. Having never stayed there, I had no idea what to expect. The hotel was very tasteful, modern but I would say the room we had was basic. The views from certain windows are absolutely stunning. Whilst we didn't have a view of the Harbour […] Bridge from our room, we had a nice view over towards Neutral Bay. However, nothing could have prepared us for the trains! As I was standing in the lobby waiting to check in, one went under the building. It was loud and it shook everything! I would not want to be working there! We were on the third floor, and even there, every time a train went under the building we experienced the sound and feel which was unpleasant, especially early in the morning. So, my recommendation is ask to be put on a higher floor and then you will be fine! Also (although I don't think it was the hotels fault), the alarm in our room went off at 5:45 in the morning. It was April 1st, so maybe someones idea of an April Fool's joke?! I couldn't get it to stop going off and had to remove it from the wall. "Comfortable Surprise"
We stayed at the Harbourview as a late choice when our regularly used hotels were booked out. It was a pleasant surprise, easy to access by road and the staff and service could not have been better. Our room was very comfortable and clean and with a spectacular harbour view. My only note of caution: the hotel is located v close to Nth Sydney station […] and the trains rumble beneath into the early hours. Ear-plugs are recommended. Przeczytaj więcej

What a view ,Sydney from your window as though you were right on the harbourside yet with the comfort of the room close to transport ,ferries and plenty to do for the kids with Luna park just around the corner,easy parking and staff willing to assist where required including transport times.a definite must when staying in Sydney

booked at the harbor view as we had stayed before and found it met our needs precisely. Great location. wonderful staff, well appointed room with cleanliness second to none.
very lpleased with every aspect, great view, convient location, excellant meals, staff very helpful, would recommend to stay there
