"Good for the price"
It was an average stay for the price I paid. Clean room and great location in the Toledo area. I recommend this for the 1-2 night business traveler.

"Room odor but clean/comfy"
Upon check-in, the desk clerk was totally unfamiliar with Hotels.com and didn't quite understand that our stay was already paid for when we reserved our room. (This, by the way, is the 2nd time this has happened to us when booking with hotels.com, and I wish hotel management would make sure the desk clerks know how to process rooms booked through hotels.com […] which are paid in advance.) Anyhow, there was much confusion regarding this, but it all got straightened out eventually. Also, the desk clerk was unable to give us directions to a restaurant, saying she was unfamiliar with the area. It would have been helpful if she would have been better able to assist us in this way. The halls looked a bit beat up and the hall carpet needed sweeping, but the bed, pillows and room were clean and comfortable. While the furniture was older, it was clean & serviceable. The room had a down-home cozy feel to it. The bathroom was quite spacious and the shower, sink, toilet all worked well. The bathroom floor looked clean but was sticky (perhaps from the cleaner used on the floor). The room did have a very unpleasant odor of old smoke, even though it was a nonsmoking room. In fact, when I got hope, I had to wash all of our clothes because the clothes picked up the smell. "smelled bad"
Maybe this used to be a smoking room or maybe their was something dead inside the room but it smelled terrible. It smelled so bad that after staying one night I had to air out my luggage. Overall, it seemed tidy and the mattress was comfortable but the odor was stale smoke and musty. The heater was also extremely loud the room was very cold. Every time […] the heater kicked on or off at night I woke up (which was about every 10 mns) I couldn't turn it off completely because it was cold and I couldn't find a setting to just let it run. Victory Inn West Dbrn. is a decent place to stay for the night. Comfy bed, room seemed large. Liked the fridge/microwave, extra vanity. The hotel could use some updates. Smelled like smoke in the hallway.
"Raided by canine cops"
Room was decent. For the money it is a good place to stay. The hotel got raided by drug dogs while I was there, but other than that it was ok.
"Nothing to Rave About"
Even though our room was non-smoking, there was a pervasive odor in the room that was not pleasant. The tub backed up but was taken care of in a timely manner. The corridor was noisy with inconsiderate people yelling at 2 in the morning. The breakfast was adequate, but no fresh fruit.

the people that run this hotel are the rudest people i have ever come across in the hotel industry. not only did that call and wake me up at 6:30 in the morning asking if i would like to extend my stay and ask if i would like house keeping for the day but when i went and asked for an extra towel they told me that they didnt have any extra and would […] have to leave a note for house keeping. plus i am a grown adult there was no reason for the old man running the place to scream and yell at me as if i was a 4yr old while i was sitting at the pool reading a book. the people who run the place are the worse i have ever seen if it wasnt fot the convience of the hotel i would of stayed some where else. Broken air conditioner, no wifi. Was moved to room near lobby. No problems with rm 103. Next day I returned at 5 pm to find that I was locked out of my room. They changed the door key and wanted me to move me to rm 128. I wanted to rest but I had to move to rm 128. I found that further you get from the lobby the worse the room. I then had to visit the […] lobby to get wifi. Too many faults to list. Senior citizens should steer clear. I was too tired to move to another hotel. Complaints are met with excuses. I suggest a sign in the lobby that reads "you are the only one complaining" I guess I needed a petition with other guest to complain. I am looking forward to my next stay at a boring hotel. "Very acceptable"
Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was kinda small. My wife didn't think it was clean as she likes. We had to ask for towels. It was a good stay though, and the stagg were very friendly.
Staff rude, barely spoke english. Worst breakfast bar-refused to refill anything even though it was only 8:45 and was open til 9:30. Guest fell, hurt ankle, did not try to help her got very rude words were exchanged and police had to be called. Toilet backed up, maintenance requested, did not come while we were out for the day, fixed it ourselves upon […] return. No known restaurants in area, bar next door no food service. Do not recommend. i have never stayed a hotel before and i loved it there i will be going back soon even if its just to relax and get away for the weekend. the only thing i would change is the food that we had delved for m the pizza place there.

you get what you pay for only bad thing is we woke up to 3 cop cars and people being interigated then about 30 minutes later a fire truck and ambulance pulled in

The Victory Inn is very close to the Henry Ford Museum. We enjoyed our day there, and then had a very short drive to the Victory Inn. There are several restaurants nearby, as well. For the price, it was a great stay!

We selected this hotel because it was close to the Henry Ford Museum which was just around the corner and easy to find. Our reservations were for 3 but room had towels only for 2. The person at the desk was friendly enough, but the hotel itself was sketchy. I'm pretty sure people live there. The room had hair, cigarette ashes, blood, and dirt throughout. I would have high-tailed it out of there if it wasn't so late when we got there, or if there was another hotel around. They offered a free breakfast, but I would NEVER eat from […] this place. I could barely sleep, it was so grungy. It was conveniently close to Bob Evans for breakfast, and to the Ford Rouge Factory, but that is all that I can say that was good about this place. The bathroom was dirty in general, with hair in the tub. Black things fell out of the ice maker. Renovations necessary. An incredibly loud air conditioner. Had a hard time sleeping...everytime it went on, I awoke.

clean room, pleasant staff, Microwave and Refridgerator in room is a big plus. Rates are fair, and an easy drive into Detroit.

When we arrived the clerk couldn't find our reservation so I was ready for a bad stay. Too my surprise the room was clean and well appointed for the price with excellent shower. We will definitely be staying here in the future when we travel to this area.

"Rooms need improvement"
The pictures of the outside of the hotel and lobby area are deceiving. Once you get to the hotel room, it's completely different. My room had two standard beds but was extremely tight to get around the two beds and bulky tv/dresser furniture piece and round table in the corner. The desk was not located in an ideal spot and would have been better closer […] to the window. I appreciated the clean fridge and microwave but the coffee pot looked a bit dull like it hadn't been touched up in a while. "Cheap..."
Our stay (8 days) was ok, good size room, good beds and better breakfast than expected. The Victory Inn is more of a motel than hotel, though, and the cleaning of the rooms could be bettter. Tha main thing is really that there was police there every other day checking out cars and one day they even made several arrests.
