Spędziłem w tym hotelu trzy noce i byłem bardzo zadowolony. Oddalony od centrum, ale oferujący kilkakrotnie w ciągu dnia bezpłatny dojazd własnym busem do głównej ulicy miasta. Niedaleko dostęp do komunikacji publicznej. Położenie tuż przy jeziorze z przyjemnym widokiem na wodę. Czysty pokój (gorzej na korytarzach), dobrze wypozażona łazienka, klimatyzacja, uprzejma obsługa w recepcji, dostatecznie wyposażony pokój biznesowy (komputer, drukarka) ogólny bezpłatny dostęp WiFi do Internetu, basen, w pokojach ekspres do kawy i lodówka, co dzień nowa porcja kawy i herbaty do samodzielnego przyrządzania, telewizor (choć nie najlepszej jakości i z małą liczbą programów, ale to nie było dla mnie najważniejsze), na korytarzu maszyna do lodu i automaty z napojami. Jedno co mi nie odpowiadało to posiłki w restauracji hotelowej, zwłaszcza oferowane podczas śniadań (jajecznica, chyba z proszku, dziwne jakieś mazie, dziwne w smaku kiełbaski itp), ale to zapewne typowo amerykańskie potrawy, a wyczucie smaku to oczywiście rzecz indywidualnego gustu. W każdym razie były dość urozmaicone i zawsze uzupełnione o świeże owoce. Raz w tygodniu w rozsądnej cenie ( 20 dol.) kolacja typu - bufet, z zadziwiająco dużym wyborem dań (część nawet mi smakowała, a jestem przyzwyczajony do dobrej kuchni - zwłaszcza ryby, których oferowano kilka rodzajów w różnej postaci) towarzyszyła temu muzyka na żywo i sprawna obsługa kelnerska. W sumie OK.

"Affinia"
very nice hotel only steps away from Michigan Ave. Never even had to drive anywhere because everything was in walking distance. Only problem was that the room only had a queen size bed. At a hotel I prefer a king sized. The mini bar wasn't that expensive either.

"Quick stop for over night in Chicago"
Great hotel for a one night stay while we were en route to a Florida vacation. We loved the exercise room, cocktail lounge with a great view of the city at night and could walk to almost anything. We had lunch there and walked to the Hyatt for dinner, dining at NoMi. A great hotel for the price and we definitely will be back! Sandy (Minnesota)
"inconsistant experience"
The Affinia in Chicago is a very good hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The location in relation couldn't be better. There is a parking ramp right across the street ($42 a day). We have stayed here before and would rate that stay much higher then this one. Our room this time was on the 4th floor and garbage and delivery trucks started pounding […] at 4am and never stopped. It sounded like they were in our room. We didn't have this the last time we stayed here so I guess it's the luck of the draw??? 1. skip the hotel breakfast. they charge 15$ for nothing. 2 blocks away there is a nice coffe place with much value to your money. 2. in hotels upper floors there is a good chance for free WiFi connection overall, great rooms, lovely stuff. surely will return there

"Affinia in Chicago--A Gem!"
The room was very tastefully decorated. The desk staff was outstanding--friendly and very service-minded; gave us an excellent recommendation for breakfast nearby--even though the hotel has a lovely restaurant. Great location near Water Tower. We visit Chicago often and we will stay there again!

We were very pleased with our room. The staff was pleasant and the car was delivered very quickly when we wanted to go out. If one wants to get onto Lake Shore Drive, just drive up (it is oneway) Superior to a tunnel that allows you to get on going north. Check at the desk. Great place to stay - especially if you want to shop downtown.

"Beware of 50% off deal"
I took advantage of the 50% off deal on hotels.com, I soon learned that you get what you pay for. My room was located directly next door to the fitness center which was not very bothersome until about 5am when I heard the machines and weights. I also found upon entrance to the room that the window did not shut fully and with the 30 degree weather and […] wind, it made for a a cold and noisy night. To top it all off, the something on the roof was constantly banging on the ceiling of my room as the wind blew, it sounded like a jack hammer or sorts. Finally, at 6am after little sleep I called the front desk and told them of the untenable situation. They immediately offered me a free breakfast which was an absurd offer, since I was more interested in being able to sleep rather than get a hotel breakfast for free. An employee from the front desk came to the room and agreed the noise was unacceptable and moved me to a different room. I noticed that features were present in the new room that were absent in the other room such as a safe, windows that fully closed, and wifi that actually worked in that location. We had a newly renovated room over the main street. A clean, spacious and comfy hotel in walking distance of most tourist locations. The hotel also do walking tour guides for ipod to help you out. "Got to the hotel early"
My flight arrived early and I was hoping to drop off my bags at the hotel and come back when it was time to check in. The front desk clerk looked and saw that there was a room available and let me check in early. My room was huge - not a great view but it didn't bother me a bit. I'll recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic hotel, unbelievably central, right in the middle of downtown Chicago. 50 steps from the magnificant mile (Michegan Ave). Staff are really friendly.

This is an excellent hotel. The location is fantastic just off Michigan Avenue close to all the shops, pick up points for tours and you can easily walk a bit further down town in to the Loop. "Affinia Hotel, Chicago, perfect location."
Stayed in the hotel for five nights in September. Had a junior suite which was huge. Staff were excellent, bar on 29th floor well worth a visit for the view and service, excellent local advice from the bar man. Location was perfect for night life, close to bars and restaurants. I am fussy and picky. This hotel was lovely. The only negative is that parking @ the hotel is offensively expensive on top of an already pricey hotel. Otherwise, it was great.

Ok, let's be frank. Affinia is not the grandest of hotels near the Magnificent Mile but for its central location it is very affordable, and highly recommendable. The rooms are clean, spacious and enjoyable. The resturant is nothing to write home about and I would suggest you visit some ot the more well known hotels in the area for both breakfast and […] dinner. The staff is friendly but expect nothing out of the ordinary. Just next door you have Ginos Pizza, one of the better pizza places in Chicago - well worth a visit. It annoyed me to no end that Affinia did not supply free wi-fi as most of the malls, hotels and stores do so. Hotel and room decor lived up to expectation. However, how do you recruit guests at a Marathon site and not allow them a one-hour reprieve for late check-out due to the race? And how does a top-rated hotel restaurant not offer anything to consume before 7 am? Great hotel; awful service.
"Perfect hotel for a joyful stay"
We stayed three days in Chicago and we wanted to be at right place. Trully it is in all aspects. I highly recommend Affinia.

Everything about the hotel was perfect - location, room (studio suite was huge!), staff, roof top bar. Siren noise was not a problem and we were only on the 9th floor. Would definitely stay here again as it was walking distance to everything - Millennium Park, Navy Pier, John Hancock centre and all the shops!

Really enjoyed our stay in Chicago, the hotel was exactly what we needed, great location, lovely staff and our room was a very good size with excellent housekeeping throughout the entire stay. Cannot say anything negative about our stay and will certainly return to both Chicago and to the Affinia hotel again.

The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, and the room was spacious and very comfortable.
