"Should be better"
The rooms have analog, tube TVs. I was told at the desk that the new TVs were due next month, but I heard elsewhere that story has been used for more than a few months. Breakfast is available for a price. Guests get a cookie at check-in and free coffee and apples in the lobby in the morning. There are lots of restaurants serving breakfast nearby, but […] you'll need a car. My room seemed fine when I checked in. I went out on business and returned to find I was about two doors away from a DJ playing loud dance music until 2 AM. Other rooms were available, and some staff expressed surprise that rooms in that area had not been blocked out for this special event. I changed rooms about midnight; the second room had a few issues, but the third was "acceptable". I have absolutely no complaints. Clean, everything (including fitness room, pool, and hot tub) worked perfectly. Nice room, nice bed and linens. Close to a variety of stores, malls, and places to eat. I very much enjoyed my 4 night stay and would choose it again in a heartbeat.

I was disappointed with this hotel. I selected it because it was the most expensive accomodation among 4 or 5 in the same area, and I assumed it would be the best. When I checked in, the prior occupant's garbage was still in the trash can. I made some of the complimentary coffee, and the cream provided by the hotel was spoiled. "Awesome Time!"
My husband and I were in town for a concert. We picked this hotel because of the bar and resturant. We arrived at the hotel 20 mins before the bar closed. A wonderful bartender named Tim was working. We stayed here to have a night away from the kids. It was clean, quiet, nice pool and hot tub. Delicious hot cookies when you check in! The hotel is close to a bunch of restaurants and shopping. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in with my family. The beds were extremely comfortable, the hotel room was clean, and the staff was very helpful in providing additional information. Also, the breakfast bar was top-notch. Definitely a 5-star hotel.

"Double Tree Dayton"
Some mishaps-we were given a key to a room that was already occupied, which made me question the security of the rooms/hotel. However, upon learning about the mistake, the front desk staff was wonderful and corrected the situation. Very apologetic.

The staff at the DoubleTree and the Bistro went beyond the call of duty. I was very impressed with them all. The sofa bed was horendous, but the other beds were wonderful!

Staff was nice and cookies are GREAT!!! I really enjoyed my stay. Mall is right next door. Chucky Cheese right next door. Just the pool was closed for mainentance did not know that was a little disappointed in that. But service was wonderful!

My wife and I stayed at the Double Tree on our way home from droping our son off at Miami University in Oxford. We were very pleased with the hotel and their staff. It was very clean and the location is very close to the interstate. We would recommend this hotel.

Our room was not ready when we arrived. The whole hotel is dark, not well lit and needs an update. The bathtub faucet in our room (205) leaked. The shower curtain was mildewed. We had a wonderful suite with all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean, up-to-date, and nicely furnished. The front desk staff was helpful and the room was very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree"
Front desk staff was very efficient and friendly for check-in and out. Room was very nice. Would recommend that a door/partition be designed between bed and living area so others can stay up and watch TV, eat, etc. while others sleep. Breakfast was hearty and a good selection but a bit repetitious by day 3. The sofa sleeper was not very comfy.

"Doubletree Guest Suites Dayton - Miamisburg"
We had a reservation for the day we were staying, and arrived at 2:30pm only to be told that there are NO rooms availible and we had to wait until after 3pm to check in. I asked why this was as I had booked the reservation 2 days prior. When we finally got to our room, we had to wait about another 20 minutes infront of our hotel room, as the maid did […] not even clean our room yet . Also we were not happy that we were told we could not use the outdoor pool, simply because we had not yet checked in with the hotel. The Doubletree is located adjacent to the Dayton Mall in an area that contains numerous office buildings and hotels. Although the hotel is about twenty five years old, it is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. There was a small amount of noise from the room above. The hotel is located near a major interstate highway but road noise was […] not a problem. The televisions have not been upgraded and the cable system needs a serious revamp. The wireless Internet connection speed was not great but there were no service dropouts . There was no dresser in my suite. There were small, open front compartments in the closet for storing folded clothes or personal items. Hanger space was limited. The bed very was comfortable with excellent bedding and plenty of high quality pillows. The desk chair was a few inches too high for the desk. And most importantly, I enjoyed my stay. Difficult to find hotel -- GPS couldn't locate. Had to stop at another hotel to ask for directions. Didn't have the room we booked available so we had to make do with one bed and one pull out loveseat. Overall, the hotel is very nice, great service, very clean, and comfortable.

After trying 8 hotels within a specific area, I called the 1-800 #, the agent found the Doubletree King Suite within two miles of where I wanted to be located. Not to mention a great price for a 4 star hotel

A very nice hotel conveniently located to I-75, reasonably priced, located close to many restaurants and to shopping. We were only there overnight so we could not take advantage of most of the amenities but they looked inviting. Our room had a VERY comfortable bed, quality toiletries and linens/towels provided. "Went for Pool - Disappointed to Find it Broken"
Overall, the hotel was very nice. The staff was courteous, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Luckily, we bought a package including breakfast because there is no way we would have paid the high price for the breakfast buffet. Was given a room that had not been cleaned but received a free breakfast. Found a small worm on the bed which was was somewhat of a concern with the bedbug scare in the area. Bed was comfortable and room clean otherwise. Food on breakfast bar buffet was not hot. Somewhat disappointed with this stay which is not the usual with Doubletree.

We stayed here over New Year's while visiting family in the area. It was close to the mall and other places. We had one child with us who slept on the fold out sofa. "Loved it"
The room was nice and clean and the bed was very nice to sleep in. We had just enough room for all of us and my kids loved the pool inside and out. We will come again if we need to stay in the area.

Though there were some problems with our stay, the staff worked hard to solve the problems. This hotel was recently remodeled and is in excellent condition. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

"Great possibities that fell short"
The hotel has so much going for it but there were far more problems that off-set the experience leaving us very disappointed. Besides not having rooms together as requested, the pool being closed, a band blaring past midnight which could be heard on the third floor and we were on the second floor. The breakfast buffet was poorly stocked and was over-priced […] at $12. To add insult to injury, my son bought breakfast for our party of 8 and was charged for 9 people! "Beatiful hotel lousy customer service"
The hotel was beautiful but it lacked any customer service. I called ahead for a crib which they said would be no problem. After getting there and finding no crib I had to call 3 times before they told me that they gave them away and sorry for the inconvince. The room wasn't ready when the said it would be and we had to call and request towels.

The room was very nice. The only issue I had with our visit was I was expecting the indoor pool to be heated. Other than that,it was very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.
