I loved our stay at Compass Point. We definitely were looking for a quiet getaway, and the intimate scale and setting of this resort was great. I loved our hut - we could hear the ocean going to sleep. I think the majority of the huts/rooms would also hear the sea. We also had a great ocean view from 2 different windows. Its definitely a quirky and […] unique place to stay, but I loved how it didn't conform to the typical box room with understated colors and yucky chain finishes. The pool wasn't heated, and I thought the water too cold to enjoy in February. But the walk to Love Beach was easy and fun to walk ~1 mile or so west in the morning. The restaurant was pretty good, and loved having breakfast there daily. We rented a car, so the isolation of the location wasn't an issue - we easily explored over to Nassau, Fish Fry, Paradise Island as well as drove around to other parts of the island to get a real feel for the island. This resort was beautiful and only steps from the ocean. I was afraid that we wouldn't get a great view since we didn't reserve the most expensive room, but every room has the most gorgeous view of the ocean. You have direct access to the beach, which is only steps from the front door of your room/bungalow. The resort was great all around - the only […] thing that I think people would want to know is that the downtown area is not close by. The only time that becomes in issue is at night. The bus system (which is very accessible during the day) stops running around 6pm, leaving you with the only option of taking a cab. A cab downtown runs about $30 each way - which can make for a costly night if you're just trying to go out for dinner. With that said, it didn't put a damper on our stay - it's just something I'd probably would have liked to have known ahead of time. Great hotel for our vacation. It is a smaller more intimate resort but has everything that you could want. It is not close to other places to eat but the restaurant at the hotel is fantastic. We went fishing one day and brought back our catch and has the chefs cook it up for us. They created two fantastic authentic bahamian feast for us out of the different […] fish that we caught. This hotel does not reside in the hubbub of the Bahamas. Instead, it is located in a residential neighborhood, and as such, is peaceful and relaxing. Very good hotel to relax and sleeeeep. restaurant should have a more detailled menu

All staff was wonderful and accomodating. The remote location was great for a quiet get a way. However it was a $30. taxi ride one way into downtown/straw market. The Jitney bus was fine during the day if you are not in a hurry, it was only $1.50 per person one way. But doesn't run at night and can stop running at anytime of the afternoon. La estancia en este hotel fue muy agradable!

Wir waren leider nur für 2 Nächte im Compass Point, aber wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Die Anlage liegt zwar an der Haupstrasse, allerdings ist man doch sehr abgeschottet und man bekommt in der Anlage nichts vom Verkehr mit.
