Split Rock Resort - Lake Harmony

Wife and I had made prior trips to Split Rock with the kids for the water amusement portion...however had never stayed overnight. We took a chance on it for our anniversary...what an incredible surprise!...Stayed at the Willowbrook Suites of the resort. We had a great time at Split rock, staff were amazing, so helpful! Our room was large and very clean although it was a little like a maze to find it. 1. They charge a toll of $1 to get into the place. Anytime you leave to go get gas or to go shopping for something, you have to pay a $1 toll to get back in. BOO 2. Lots of activities for kids. 3. The water park was amazing

Hotel was very quaint. We stayed here because they had a pool however, we were told at check in that we couldnt use it for the time we wanted to swim due to private use! The beds were very uncomfortable. The towels too thin and the tv was a 19 inch! The worst part was that we requested a wake up call and never got it! Great place for family. The water park was nice, the children loved it. The people at the hotel were friendly.

Hotel room that I picked I did not get because it's only available on weekends, there was no mention of that on site same with free breakfast only weekends...I picked Lodge Room overlooking lake well they are only open on weekends....update website please....pool was not heated kinda cold but Jacuzzi warmed you up afterwards..overall had good time..would […] go again since know more about place that had to ask on my own. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Suite nice but had some minor cleaniness issues otherwise fine. Kids will love the waterpark.

Years ago we were timeshare owners for Split Rock. Although the main hotel has not changed much and could use some updating it was very clean and nice. We stayed in the Westwood Villas which were great! And H2O waterpark was very clean, not overly crowded and very warm. The only thing I would say that was a downfall to it was the actual waterslides […] were running slowly. Especially the family slide, they only had one "tube" and the wait was way too long. all in all we had a nice time but some low points where : only 2 large(family size) tubes where being run on a very busy saturday , after waiting with my 3 grandchild we got to top only to find out my youngest grandchild was too short to ride down in tube , NO signs @ bottom of stairs telling of any height requirements not enough setting was put out […] until after about 2 pm not enough childerns life jackets on hand & they could'nt use their floaties so they where alittle restricted on what they could do ( ages 5 & 6 ) We really enjoyed our stay @ the lodge & the kids did get to have pool to themself for a while they actually enjoyed that more then waterpark ! This hotel is a really old motel. It is on the property of Split Rock but far away from the main building and waterpark. It does, however, have its own pool which is nice. The rooms, though, are outdated, carpeting is dirty.

We reserved a package deal and when we got there, hotels . com had not reserved the correct package for us, only the room. I was really upset about that! The resort is convenient but old with no modern amenities. It's relatively clean and you have easy access to the indoor water park. But, don't expect granite or marble countertops. We had an awful […] experience the first night in our 2BR suite. Every 5 minutes there was a loud buzzing sound that sounded like our alarm clock was stuck between 2 radio channels. We kept waking up thinking it was time to get up. It was not an alarm, rather something in a locked maintenance closet. The hotel manager did pay for our meal the next day but we were exhausted! The H2Ohhhhh water park is fun and I would recommend that but more for younger children. We went with teens and there are really only 2-3 rides for them there. Was booked in galleria, they told us when we got tthere to go to the lodge. We waited 2 hours to check in, ignored request to get us close to elevator due to grandmother travelling with us. Got Staoh infection from hot tub, still have it, stay out of hot tub..

I had to change room 3 times cigarette smell in non smoking rooms, no heat in the rooms and the rooms are old a dirty needs to be remodeled. No one should any concern of the problems we was having... Horrible experience"!!!

we check in at night after coming on skiing trip.well it's dark when we came to the gate.and this man just gawk on us,, ohh i noticed we have to pay one dollar to pass. we asked direction.. he show us the galleria..the receptionist.. argued on us.."this is not the right place.. you have to go to the lodge, this is part of split rock but this is not […] where your staying" ,, ohh boy not a friendly staff . after turning and twisting, finally we got in the lodge..place is old, floor is squicky u have to walk slowly. can't sleep coz of the heater was so noisy..ohh men finally one night was over.. Split Rock was probably nice 10 to 20 years ago but it is now a dying hotel that the bank is foreclosing on. If a prison and a dorm had a baby it would be Split Rock. The employees are nice but they have no shot working at this place. I am sorry but I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Spend the extra money and GO ELSEWHERE! This is a lovely place which we unfortunately reached on a dark and stormy night. The road to it is a toll road and the guardian told us to go to Galeria. Galeria was not where we had a reservation so after some confusion we were very nicely directed to The Lodge. The breakfast was an excellent buffet -- it was Sunday -- not too pricey. To get to the hotel you have to pay $1 each time you enter the private road and then the check in clerk doesn't tell you that you can use the $1 receipts to purchase anything at the hotel. The rooms and equipement are circa 1960s and if you need anything you are expected to go find it yourself. first of all, the lake looks like a cess pool and someone saw a water moccasin in it. if your advertising yourself as a resort, and your charging almost 90 dollars for a 6 yr old, her mother and grandmother to go to the water park, i'd say that was a little excessive. you also pay for miniature golf, the movie and other things we did not do.i would […] not go back. however, the room was pleasant, overlooking the lake that didnt look so bad from a distance, clean, and the staff was very helpful . not my cup of tea... We stayed at the Lodge. This was not very nice. We checked in late at night and the lighting in the hallway to the room was horrible, to the point of scarry. The roof was leaking because it was pouring rain and I got my feet wet because I was walking aroung in my socks, you should be able to take your socks off in your room. We couldn't find the pool […] early the next morning because it was down a corridor with the lights off, We were told as it gets lighter out this morning, you'll be able to get there. Split Rock has another hotel, the galleria. This is where all the activityes are. Something for the kids every hour, a hugh indoor water park, indoor sports (tennis, basketball, racketball), a movie theater, everything. The trouble is you have to drive to it. The Lodge was ok..But I wasn't happy cause I didn't get what hotels.com promised me. SPlit Rock said they have nothing to do with hotels.com and can't give us what they said. But the water park was fun and overall stay was good.

The lodge is quite old, my first room the bath tub is stuck, then the second room is ok, spent quite long for them to figure out to replace a good room.

This hotel is dilapidated and smells. We itched in the bed, the sheets were dirty and the pillows were disgusting. You have to pay 1.00 just to enter the parking lot. The staff was not helpful at all. The tennis court area was falling apart, leaks in the ceilings and they charged us to play there even though we were guests. Very disappointing.

We stayed in lakeside lodge room 309, the ac unit in this room makes loud noise. The fan has two speed, Hi or Low but it didn't make any difference either way. It blows the curtains flying in the air and it sounds like an airplane. I couldn't sleep. There are two doors in the room connects to both side of next rooms. Very dated

We had a group of five families, all booked through Hotels.com. They were able to get us all on the same floor of the Slopeside Suites. The rooms were great, really big with a small fridge, countertop, and table. The staff was super nice. The fitness room was closed which was a bit of a bummer, but the pool was really nice with ping pong tables which […] the kids really liked. Very close to Jack Frost, about a 10 minute drive. RESORT WAS SET BACK OFF OF RT 940, ROOM WAS VERY NICE, SUITE WITH TWO BEDROOMS, ONE ROOM WAS REALLY HOT, ONEROOM WAS COOL, BEDS WERE HARD.. INDOOR WATERPARK WAS NICE, NEED TO BRING OWN TOWELS, THEY DO NOT SUPPLY THEM AT THE PARK...

We stayed in the Lodge, which made using the Waterpark a bit of a hassle. The Galleria is where all the action is. However there was something nice about going back to a quiet hotel and having the indoor pool practically to ourselves. The Lodge is very dated but won us over in the end. Our room was very clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The onsite restaurant had delicious food. Breakfast was fixed price buffet only. Condition of the indoor pool was poor with a terrible odor which seemed to permeate through the walls. While the lake was beautiful to look at, the lagoon for swimming was very uninviting.

I was expecting a Resort. I was extremely disappointed. The whole experience was so depressing, from the room to the food, Movie Theater, Water Park, service that I don't even want to talk about it. Thank god for my GPS. I was able to find a decent restaurant 15 miles away so we could have dinner. Check-in time was 5pm and check out time was 11am […] so all we did was sleep and leave. My family and I enjoyed our stay. This was our second stay at Galleria. The children had a great time. There are lots of activities for children. The array of activities for children is fantastic. Hotel room smelled!! and was VERY old looking and ugly inside..very disapointed..would go back only for the lake..which was very nice..we went on kayaks.

the hotel looks very old condition, and smell no good! and you have to walk little bit far to go to water park! And very important....don't leave anything important at your room! because i lost my money at my room!!! dissapointed!!!

the location is too far from 'H2o waterpark', and the hotel is old, need renovation, and smell not really good, especially in the room. But the view is good because you can go to the lake, just located next to the hotel. Especially when summer, you can enjoy play at that lake, that's very nice. But important things... Thought the location was great for proximity to the race track, but hotel is old and the price was a pretty steep for what you get which is just a bed and a bathroom. Small tv, no internet in room. Had to go to lobby which I find to be pretty ridiculous in this day.

This is the best place to stay if you are going to the race at the Poconos. 15 min. from the track with no traffic. 30 - 45 min. in traffic! With two tired kids under 10, that short car ride was a blessing!
