"Marriott Kansas City Downtown"
The front of the hotel is currently being remodeled, making it difficult to enter the hotel. The furniture & carpeting in the room was old (probably from the 80's), although everything was in good condition. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, except for a bar of old soap in a plastic Bud Light beer cup on the […] bathroom counter. There was a package of new soap on the counter by the shampoo bottle, so I assume that housekeeping must have forgotten to pick up the Bud Light cup when they cleaned the room. Both parking and Internet service are extra costs that I find petty considering the price of the room. The TV in the room was a very nice high-definition LCD flat panel, but the service to the TV was only standard definition analog. At the prices they charge for everything, I expect better. Based on the cost of the hotel versus my perception of the value I received, I do not recommend this hotel. Przeczytaj więcej
"Marriott"
The service at check in was great, attempting to enter that hotel was a complete mess due to construction and very bad signs marking the parking garage. When we arrived in the room it was clean and well maintained. I did not check the A/C, because I we were running late for a dinner. We returned to find the A/C was broken and not working. We called […] the front desk, but never had a service tech show up or them offer to change our room. Przeczytaj więcej

Everything was nice - but, the hotel room itself was not quiet. We heard surrounding doors up and down our floor all night long slamming shut - very loudly. Maybe the doors are heavy causing the loudness, but whatever, it was not a quiet place.

"Worst hotel stay ever"
Non working AC, stains all over white bedspread, wet substance in floor, smelling of vomit. Loud partiers throughout hotel and out on street. Served cold coffee and cold eggs at breakfast in hotel restaurant. Absolutely the worst hotel stay I've ever had.
"Only for the location"
Stayed here because an event was a few blocks away. The room was your typical Marriott, which I know a lot of people love. It was nice with a fantastic view. However, there are several reasons why I would not stay here again. 1. If you're put in the tower across the street, you have more of a walk and inconvenience to your car and lobby than you might […] think. 2. There was ONE accessible outlet in my room (and one in the bathroom, of course). One. And it was under the desk, and I had to unplug a lamp to charge my laptop and phone. For a hotel that seems geared toward business travelers, I was surprised. It was inconvenient. 3. I simply dislike paying more for a hotel then extra for Wi-Fi, crazy amount for valet and no breakfast. All of that was known ahead of time, of course. Everything downtown was closed at 7 pm, so I'm not sure I'll think it worth it next time. Przeczytaj więcej
"Close to Music Hall"
Was very disappointed in service I ordered breakfast for the room , but it never came , they said they didnt get my order. Pool was not avaible! No coffee in the lobby unless you paid for it. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. The beds were very comfortable. You have to pay for parking extra.

"Clean, comfortable...no complaints"
The room was clean, service was fine, within walking distance to the Sprint center, no complaints!

"Marriott downtown Kansas City"
The locations was great for where I needed to be. The hotel is a little dated in the lobby area. The room was nice and clean, but there was something wrong with the thermostat in the room. The room would not get cool. Also, had to pay for parking. Which I think is just a way for the hotel to make more money.

"Nice hotel"
We were at the Marriott KC for a convention in the hotel. All events were either in the Marriott or the attached-by-a-skywalk (also Marriott-owned) historic Muehlbach (sp?) Hotel, so it was very convenient. Rooms were lovely, beds were heavenly. Health Club was huge. Had buffet lunch in the lobby restaurant one day, and it was also excellent. Only drawback […] was, while my husband was attending the convention, I had little to do. There is absolutely no shopping in this area (believe me, I tried!) except for one Joseph A. Bank store and a neat food market that offered a wonderful variety of delicacies: pastries, chocolates, cheeses, etc., and also a wide variety of dining options. Since I didn't feel comfortable driving around by myself, I spent a lot of time in the Health Club or reading/watching HBO in the room waiting for my husband to be done for the day. (Glad the rooms were so nice! :) Wished they'd had free WiFi, but it was $10 per day, and I didn't want to spend that just to check my e-mail. Nightlife is nearby -- the Power & Light District is within close walking distance, and has a lot of restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Two restaurants about 10 blocks away were very good (need a car or cab) and were in an old warehouse called the Freighthouse. Lidia's was an Italian restaurant with all homemade pasta. We got the Prix Fixe meal for $28, and it was excellent. Wonderful bread, salad, three different homemade pastas they served hot from skillets at your table -- and they kept offering you more until you were stuffed -- then you chose a dessert! The decor was awesome, with incredible blown-glass chandeliers that looked like over-sized grape clusters. On the other end of the Freighhouse was Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ -- it was very good, too, but to me, one BBQ tastes just about like the next! (It boasts that it's been rated #1 KC BBQ for the last 4 years in a row.) Liked the sweet/smoky BBQ sauce on the meat, and the sides were very good -- try the Hickory Smo Przeczytaj więcej

"Great hotel, just needs newer TVs"
Everything was fine except that we were surprised to find small old fashioned box TVs in the rooms. With the Marriott name and the Marriott price, they need to quickly add flat screen TVs!
"Outstanding Hotel"
Great hotel located within walking distance to the Power and Light district as well as many other downtown KC places of interest.

"Families, don't stay here"
I booked for my family of five (5), 2 adults, three kids. We were stuffed into a small room with 2 double beds. I brought to their attention my booking, and they did not care. Suggested that we upgrade to a suite ($375/night). Pass. o pass t The room was hot and very uncomfortable. I again complained. Again, they did not care. Told me that it was Hotels.com's […] problem. Yeah, way to pass the buck. Horrible experience. Do not stay here. Przeczytaj więcej

"So great!"
the hotel staff was extremly friendly!! Also the restaurant downstairs was very nice with great food! We'll be back!
"Nice Hotel"
Hotel was nice and clean. We had an updated room and while it was nice you could tell it has just been "patched up". I;m a hard case though. All in all our stay was fine, the room was fine and the staff was fine.
