Location, personnel etc. OK, but if you're not used to trams making noise at 5:30 AM just make sure you ask for a room not facing the street.

"good location hotel"
Although this hotel is already some 20 years old, I usually stay here because of its good location. Another advantage is the parking garage, although this one is not cheap! The beds are not particularly good, I would recommend management to buy new, more sumptuous matrasses.

Our room (it was some kind of mini suite) was a trip back to the 80s. Toilet however, was a visit to the future. And pricing was just out of this world. Ridiculous expensive.

We stayed in this hotel during Weihnachts markt. The biggest markets are in between 2 minutes and 10 minutes walking distance....also the shopping street is around the corner....It is a big hotel, which has a bit outdated rooms...but the room was very clean and big....the staff is very friendly.

Close to the old picturesque part of town, including the Cathedral and the Metro. Surrounded by some great German Pubs with great food. Hotel staff kept to themselves, not chatty but not rude either. Room was a good size and very clean.

"Christmas market trip - fantastic hotel"
We arrived at 10:30am 17th Dec 2010 and the rooms were ready for us. Excellent staff on reception and very good room. Hotel is a complex with shops, coffee shops and restaurants. No noise that would stop quite releaxing in our room or while sleeping. Very good location for the best markets. Only 2 mins walk. We did not use any of the eatery's in the […] hotel opting for the local pubs which were fantastic and reasonably priced providing you enjoy traditional German fare. Service in the hotel was swift when we asked for additional pillows. We did use the swimmng pool, steam room and sauna. All were well maintained and working well. Swimming pool is salt walter. "Grand exterior, good location..."
I do not feel that the rooms lived up to the grand public areas of the hotel. Very small beds (although comfortable), tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice and what you come to expect these days with this calibre of hotel. Having said that, good location, 10 mins walk to the station.

Very good experience...beautiful hotel with a 7 story atrium. Several shops and restaurants on the 1st floor. It is also located in an convenient location right on the Rhein.

The Hotel Maritim koeln is to me an "outstanding Hotel" for different reasons, the hotel layout, the amount of natural light into the rooms, the view specially those rooms overlooking the Dom (like my room), private bridge connecting to the Walk of the Rhine, the location with minutes of walk to shopping area and restaurants. "Maritim aus dem letzten Jahrhundert"
Lage kann eigentlich in Köln nicht besser sein! Allerdings ist das Hotel in den 80ern stehen geblieben. Röhrenfernseher und Altbaucharme im Zimmer. Das schlimmste ist aber der Service. Insbesondere die völlig unfreundliche Dame am Front Office geht gar nicht. Als ich mich darüber bewschwert habe wie es sein kann das morgens um 8.00h direkt vor meinem […] Zimmer die Bohrmaschinen angestellt werden bekam ich als Antwort: " Oh die hätten eigentlich erst um 9.00h anfangen sollen" ^^ Nach meiner Beschwerde das ich kein Licht im Bad habe bekam ich die Antwort" Na sie sehen aber trotzdem frisch geduscht aus" HALLO ??? Das Haus hatte sicherlich mal bessere Zeiten. Das Publikum war wie im Bazar. Das TV-Gerät für ein 4 Sterne Haus uralt. die Zimmerbar war verschlossen! Einzig das neue Bad war schön!

Zeer comfortabel hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Wel erg massaal en het ontbijt is met €19,- aan de dure kant.

Et lidt anderledes hotel med ordinære værelser, pænt og velholdt. Desværre var der ikke gratis internet, hvilket må være et 'must' på alle hoteller, specielt når det markedsføres som et hotel for forretningsfolk. Manglede mulighed for at lave en kop kaffe.

"Gut gelegen für einen Kurzbesuch in Köln"
Hotel hebt sich zwar nicht ab ist aber für einen Kurzbesuch äusserst gut plaziert. Die beiden Einzelbetten sollen fix verbunden werden könnnen, da sie die Tendenz haben sich voneinander zu entfernen!
"Tolerant und Schwulenfreundlich"
Am CSD Wochenende dort übernachtet. Sehr freundlich und angenehm. Gute Location direkt am Heumarkt. Zimmer nicht mehr die modernsten. Von Flatscreen TV oder free WiFi im Zimmer haben sie wohl noch nix gehört.

"Nettes Wochenende in Köln"
Das Hotel ist für eine Städtetour super gelegen. Die Zimmer nach innen waren ruhig, trotz Veranstaltung im Atrium. Das Bad stammt noch aus einer anderen Zeit - sauber aber bestimmt nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Trotzdem eine Empfehlung!

een uitstapje naar Keulen gepland en op zoek naar een rustig comfortabel hotel, wat verder van de drukte, en toch op wandelafstand van de Dom, de winkelstraten, de kerstmarkten ? Dan is Maritim Hotel zeker een aanrader. ben je daarentegen op zoek naar een kleinschalig, intiem en hyperromantisch hotel, dan is het hotel iets minder geschikt, maar de locatie […] vlak aan de Rijn maakt al veel goed. Sehr schönes, aber auch sehr großes Hotel nur wenige hundert Meter vom Dom. Direkt an einer Straße und einer Straßenbahnlinie gelegen, dennoch ruhig (gute Fenster). Tolles Frühstück, nur schade, dass die zum Haus gehörende Tiefgarage extra kostet.

Hotel au bord de la vieille ville. Très chic et agréable, une architecture originale de part sa grande verrière et ses qlq magasins et cafés restos couverts. Belle piscine.... Nous le recommanderons sans aucun doute. Juillet : séjour insolite au coeur de la gay pride.... bonne ambiance.

Stort og fint hotell som ligger i gangavstand til det meste. Ca 10 min gange fra Kölner Dom (katedralen) og togstasjonen. 20 min gange fra LanXess Arena om man skal på stevner/konserter der. 3 min gange fra de to store Shopping-gatene. Ypperlig service på hotellet var det også!
