The hotel was nice and the people were friendly my only complaint is the room is a little bare. No microwave or fridge but the room served its purpose. I would stay again! Also the breakfast was awesome!

Stayed here to see Ohio state vs Penn state football and couldn't be happier about it. Very convenient location and good hot breakfast. Recommended for anyone visiting Columbus.

We were in town for a big football game. The opposing teams band was there and the refs from the game were also staying there which was really cool. The service at the bar was excellent. The front desk was rude and short, not welcoming either time I was up there. There was no hot water to shower with in the morning which was horrible. "Desperately needs updating!!!"
We booked this hotel because they had shuttles to the stadium and were decently priced compared to other hotels in the area. Although the decor was heinously outdated, it didn't seem like a big deal at first. Then we got to our room. It is apparent that they have not put a dime in to updating the rooms for over a decade. The furniture had broken pieces […] and gouges in it. The mattress felt like the cheapest thing at the store, and one of the lamps didn't work. The comforter had a huge burn hole in it (despite this being a non-smoking room) and the overall appearance made the room seem dirty. Our first night there the phone rang at 1:30 am and then 10 minutes later, but when we picked up it was just static. We ended up unplugging it for the rest of our stay. The bar was pathetic. It was outdated and was missing bar stools. There were 4 of us standing at the bar for lack of seating. The service was pretty good during our stay and the breakfast was great. But it felt like we grossly overpaid for the poor quality of the room, and I seriously questioned how sanitary it was. I don't think we'll stay there ever again. Przeczytaj więcej
Close and convenient to Ohio State University. Several restaurants and shopping close by. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.

"University Hotel Plaza"
Only real negative was the lack of outlets in room and no light on or above desk area. Other than that, it was great. And had an absolutely GREAT hot breakfast that was complimentary at the hotel. Overall, very happy.
"An adequate hotel"
This place is close to Ohio State University campus. Rooms are adequate, not exceptional. The included breakfast buffet, however, was great. Hotel is generally quiet. It could use some renovation.

"exceeded expectations"
I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities and quality of services at this hotel. It was terrific and I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

The parking lot was very congested because of repair work being done (Temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement) but our overall experience was very good.
The Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful, from check-in to housekeeping to servers during breakfast buffet. Thank You

The Hotel is a little dated but for the convience of being close to the campus and downtown its ideal. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Hotel looks nice and staff is very attentive. Rooms are outdated, beds not comfortable. Great location.

Good sized room, walking distance to restaurants, very close to Ohio state university. Had a great Sunday breakfast. Staff was very friendly.

While this hotel obviously isn't the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus, for the reasonable prices...this hotel is a great find! Wonderful breakfast buffet and super friendly and helpful staff!

This hotel was fine for us for the money. It also included a free buffet breakfast, which was better than most hotel buffet breakfasts (i.e. it had waffles; scrambled eggs; bacon; oatmeal; danishes; yogurt; fruit; etc.). Note: we stayed there on the weekend and I'm not positive that the buffet is there every week day, but it's worth checking in to. Been going there for four years off and on while my son was at OSU. Always helpful staff. Always tried to stay there when I went up.
