Divani Palace Acropolis - Ateny

This hotel is showing its age in places, comfortable but ever so slightly shabby. The location is excellent - in a quiet residential area of Athens so no traffic noise (just as well as in April the air conditioning wasn't on and we had to keep our windows open at night). It was a short walk to the Acropolis and to the new Acropolis Museum and Metro. […] Not many restaurants nearby, but only 10-15 mins walk to the Plaka which has loads of places to eat and shop. Only drawback is the school parties which were frequent, large and noisy (had to complain about the noise at 2.30 am and it went on until 3.10am!). Didn't eat there so can't comment on food. It was good for a break with kids as our bedroom had a separate living room with a sofa bed for one child. Bathroom was small and airless and extremely hot - in April. Przeczytaj więcej

Location and amenities were very good, with access to Acropolis and Museum terrific. Staff was very helpful and responsive to questions and requests. Lots of middle and high school tour groups made the lobby and hotel noisy, but with everything else positive, I'd consider staying there again.

for me and my husband we didn't feel comfortable at all !!! location is bad and i shocked about the room!! we reserve a exative room with acropolis view and there was no view and the room was tooooo small!!! i wonder about the normal room how would it be!! and the reception!! they are so unwelcoming

We had a very nice stay at the Divani Hotel. It was walking distance to the Plaka and the acropilis.The front desk workers were very nice and helped us with all our needs. They all spoke English and were able to direct us to any places we needed to go. They even recommended a great place to see a dinner show. Walking distance to Plaka and the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. Beautiful view of Acropolis at night from rooftop bar. Room was a little small, but acceptable and clean. Hotel employees were mostly helpful and courteous, with the exception of maybe one. It happens. Pool was very nice. Overall would definitely reccomend.

The location was very close to the Acropolis. Desk attendants were very helpful when asked various things. Took metro from aiport, got off at Acropolis station, very closeby. Rooftop dinner was nice, but don't let the photos fool you, there is only half a view of the Acropolis, depending on where you sit. Also is a huge tank in the view. But service […] was good, and food, too. We were celebrating our 25th anniv, and when we asked for an upgrade, were only given the same room on the front of the hotel. When we called, the desk attendant said she had given us a room on that side, which had an Acropolis view. There was no view. Had to stand on tip-toes on balcony to even see it. Hotel has a great location - walking distance to the Acropolis. Has a great view, especially from the rooftop restaurant. However, room service ends at 11pm and wi-fi is not free, both of which are unusual for a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is in a great location as it's really close to the acropolis, but when I found out to see the view that the hotel promised I had to bend over from the balcony it was really disappointing same thing with roof top restaurant it's not like the picture shows rooms and lobby furniture needs a real make over and updated overall three star rating. […] The worst thing about the hotel is the hotel rooms, very dark, eerie, smelly and outdated furniture. Nice hotel. Friendly, english speaking staff and the location is very close to the Acropolis. Loved it, only complaint is the bed was about a foot off the ground, and not that comfortable.....not sure if that is the local style or not......

The only nice thing is the location , staff is not polite or helpful at all, my room was not renovated as shown on hotel Homepage

In the hart of Athens Plaka, close to the new Acropolis museum and metro. The hotel look nice on the photos but as often the reality is a disapointment. Its worn down and tracks from earlier guests are visible. There where cigarettburns in the bathroom and the floorcarpet needed a good rinse. The aircondition where noisy and went on and off all night. […] The swimmingpool was very nice and the water clean, but suffers the lack of sun due to the surrounding walls. The gardenrestaurant on the roof was wonderful even there was no guests. The food was tasty, but not as fresh as one should expect from a 5 star hotel. I would rate this hotel as a good 4 star hotel. We stayed at this hotel a total of 3 separate nights during our vacation in Greece. Two of the nights were at the beginning and end of Globus Tour. We then took a trip to the island of Mytilene and returned after to the hotel. The hotel was wonderful! They graciously stored out luggage while we went to the island. They were extremely welcoming. The […] room that we booked through hotels.com far exceeded our expectations. We had a far nicer room than on the previous two nights and a phenomenal view of the acropolis from our balcony. It was an outstanding way to end our Greek Vacation. It was convenient to the new Acropolis Museum, the Acropoli Metro station, and the Plaka. I highly recommend this property! They also offer a wonderful breakfast daily. There is a small grocery store very close buy that is a great place to purchase water, etc. When we returned from the island we took the metro from the airport and had no trouble walking from the metro station to the hotel. Ubicación al lado de la Acropolis, se puede ir andando a cualquier parte del casco antiguo. Hay dos partes en el hotel, una de las partes tiene las habitaciones remodeladas, todo nuevo, con diseño, y la otra parte con las habitaciones antiguas. Conviene indicar en la reserva que se prefiere una de las nuevas, aunque no tengan vistas a la acropolis.

Voila un hôtel à recommander à tous ceux qui veulent visiter Athènes. A deux pas du Parthénon, on est logé dans un hôtel impeccable et servi par un personnel extrêmement courtois...
