A bit far from city center, but hotel is located in nice modern neighborhood
"Good for Short Salzburg Visit"
Basic European type room. Clean, not spacious but typical. Breakfast is over priced. Found a nice cafe, Cafe Diva, within five minutes walk (take left out of the hotel then next left, when road ends, take right and look on left side). Great breakfast offering and owner spoke English. The hotel was clean and comfortable (most important to us), the staff friendly and helpful, and it is located a short walk (~10 minutes) from both the old town and the train station.

Nice and confort hotel but under renovation. Easy to find when you drive in by car. Firendly and helpful staff. No A/C in one 3-person room but only electric fan. One room close to the garbage collecting area with noise in the ealy morning. Annoying!!! Will not recommand this hotel unless it is improved. Not match with 4-star grade.
Only a 15-20 minute walk to the old part of Salzburg. Very friendly staff and a grocery store two blocks away.

"Great Hotel"
This hotel is recently renovated and is a very pleasant place to stay; rooms are great and very spacey, staff is accommodating and there is a parking garage for those who arrive by car. It's located a bit of a walk from the Altstadt though - I guess around 15-20 minutes depending on where you're going. That was no problem for us, however. "mercure salzburg"
we stayed 2 nights, very nice and helpful staff,each a nd evryone helpful and speaks good english, beds very nice and soft,rooms oldish look,no safe in room but a good safe box at reception,bathrooms are okay,but overall look is not great.comfortable...but 4star but value for money,so its not a looker but does the job more than comfortably. tips..there […] is a free parkinf right across the hotel ,outside the holiday inn,if you can get it,ask the reception guys where to eat ,amazing refrences..short walk to the main areas,mcdonalds next door open till 2 am. i had a nice stay here and considering what i paid,its a deal,besides the jaded looks of the hardware,everything else if fantastic..even the food breakfast or dinner.. "Good for a few nights"
The Mercure Salzburg Kapuzinerberg is a decent hotel in a great location. The room was quite large but the furniture and room looked quite old. The beds were not comfortable and very hard. There is no air conditioning but a fan was provided. The bathroom is very small and the shower was awkward and not clean (old). The bathroom had a old, musty smell, […] as well. The hotel is in the middle of renovating the rooms and it would be a great stay when the rooms are done (we did not hear any construction, so that was not a problem). The lobby was beautiful and new (which got me excited for the room but we were dissapointed it was not as nice). The staff was helpful and very nice. We did not eat the breakfast because it is MUCH cheaper to go to a bakery and get a great breakfast. The walk to town was very easy and only about 5-10min. "Good experience/value"
This was a good hotel--especially for the price. They had set up a fold out couch in advance for my two daughters, which worked perfectly. The room is a nice size and was comfortable and fridge well-stocked. The one disappointment was that there was no common computer/internet available in the lobby. It is a nice hotel, and it is nice for a europe standard. If you compare to America Standars you would not think it is a 4 start hotel. The employees were nice and the room was ok. The location is good, like 15 minutes walking to the center.

"Good hotel"
I found the hotel to be very good indeed. The breakfast at the hotel was a bit expensive, so we saved money and went to the McDonalds just down the block. The room was clean, the beds were new, and the bathroom tidy. The hotel is not in the old city, but only a 10 minute walk from the main train station. A tram connects the hotel with Mirabel Gardens […] in about 10 minutes and from there the rest of the city can be reached by walking. For the money, I found this to be an outstanding hotel. My only concern is there may not be air conditioning. I don't know as we did not use it. Most of the time I don't think this will be an issue. The staff at the front desk was great! Przeczytaj więcej
"Fantastic customer service"
My son Tom (13) and I stayed at the Mercure in Salzburg this summer. I can honestly say I have never encountered such pleasant and helpful staff in a hotel before. They were great!
"Nice place but very hot without AC"
Nice hotel. Close enough to town to walk. Also close enough to the train station to walk. No AC in the room become a real issue in the summer. Was so hot we checked out early to find a place with AC. We could not sleep it was so hot. However, we did know there was no AC before going there. Ottimo l'hotel, alla reception tutti molto simpatici e disponibili. 10 min a piedi dal centro.
Das Hotel sieht in der Eingangshalle sehr schön aus. Unser Zimmer war jedoch keinesfalls dem 4-Sterne-Standard entsprechend. Das Bad war sehr abgewohnt und uralt. Das Zimmer selbst war auch eher alt, aber sauber. Für den Preis könnte man aber viel besseres erwarten.

Правда, одеяла - чистая синтетика, жарко ночью, но номер - чистый, обслуживание ненавязчивое. Учитывайте, что время заселения - 15:00. Не очень удобно, если допустим уезжаете из Вены в Зальцбург утром и к 12-ти уже требуется куда-нибудь […] сбросить вещи. "Sehr freundliches Personal"
Wir waren nur eine Nacht, sind sehr freundliche empfangen worden. Konnten vor dem Hotel parken, sind mit einem Übersichtsplan und vom Empfang eingezeichnete Weihnatsmärkte zu Fuß losmarschiert. Es war ein herrliches 1. Adventwochenende in Salzburg - nur der Schnee hat gefeht ;-))

Sehr freundliches Hotel, gepflegt, Empfang hervorragend. Lage ist Spitze, weil sehr zentral.

Que dire sur cet hôtel ? Je ne le recommande vraiment pas.(Ne pas se fier aux photos) Après une journée intense et la route vers Salzburg, On souhaite pouvoir gagner rapidement sa chambre. Un accueil froid et désagréable. Ca donne le ton. Après avoir attendu qu'il réponde au téléphone et bricole deux trois trucs sans aucun rapport avec nous, enfin la […] clé. Je décide donc de garer ma petite voiture de location (après la panne de ma voiture) dans le garage mais il n'y avait pas de place. Je retourne à l'accueil pour demander que faire. Réponse surprenante, "vous n'avez qu'à chercher une place dans le quartier". ????? Un néerlandais est dans la même situation que moi avec sa petite voiture. Car on se rendra donc un peu plus tard dans la soirée que ca n'a poser aucun problème de trouver des places pour les grosses berlines devant l'entrée de l'hôtel. Après avoir finalement réussi à garer la voiture, je me dirige vers la chambre. Une chambre donnant sur l'avenue et au dessus de l'entrée, pas de climatisation, donc au choix chaleur ou bruit, une salle de bain dans un état lamentable, rideau de la chambre cassé et chambre donnant une impression de saleté. De plus la situation de l'hôtel n'est pas formidable, dans un quartier mi zone commercial, mi populaire à 20 bonnes minutes à pied du centre. Le lendemain, alors que le check out se fait à 12h, ma clé se désactive à 10h, ce qui m'oblige une nouvelle fois à aller à l'accueil. O hotel fica distante dos principais pontos turísticos e à noite o lugar fica bastante ermo e escuro. É também um hotel com decoração antiga.Talvez, depois da reforma prevista, o hotel fique mais agradável.

Honestly, I have stayed at hostels with higher standards than this place. And paying €15 extra for breakfast should instead been icluded in the price, since it was an 4-star fee. However the bed was extremely comfortable.

"Pænt stort værelse på trods af ekstra opredning"
Dejligt rummeligt værelse til 3 personer. Venlig og hjælpsom service. Udmærket rengøringsstandard. Morgenmadsbuffet over gennemsnittet.
Отель понравился: просторный, чистый номер. Не хватало, пожалуй, только кондиционера, правда, вместо него красовался большой вентилятор, который мало справлялся с охлаждением помещения. А в остальном, все хорошо, все хорошо.

Vi boede ud til gården lige over et stort klima anlæg så vi kunne ikke åbne vinduet da det larmede, så der var meget varmt på værelset

wir waren im 4.stock untergebracht- trotz kühler nacht sehr heiß im zimmer , zu laut , sehr schlechte matratzen nachdem wir unser zimmer verlassen hatten,(lärm ab 7.00 früh) wurden die anderen zimmer bereits demontiert.. das altstadtzentrum war in 15 minuten gut erreichbar, frühstück war in ordnung, abendessen mittelmäßig

"empfehlenswertes hotel"
wenn man 15 min. zu fuß in die stadt gehen kann, dann ist dies hier ein tolles hotel...ggf. kann man ein stück mit dem bus fahren!! es war sehr ruhig und alles bestens! lediglich beim frühstücksbuffet haben wir uns für die gegenüberliegende konkurenz "holiday inn" entschieden!

Hotel comodo e silenzioso, tra la stazioe e il centro. Cordialità e disponibilità nel risolvere piccoli problemi inerenti la camera; abbiamo richiesto un letto matrimoniale e ci hanno dato due letti singoli accoppiati. Gentili nel venirci incontro offrendoci la colazione.

ottimo hotel a pochi passi dal centro. Personale disponibile e molto cortese. L hotel ha a disposizione un comodissimo parcheggio sotteraneo privato ( a pagamento). Stanze abbastanza pulite e comode. Colazione a buffet molto varia e abbondante. Ci tornerei volentieri un'altra volta

Recht schönes Hotel, aber die vier Sterne sind sicher nicht mehr gerechtfertigt. Der Schrank für die Minibar war leer (kommentarlos, an der Rezeption nur: ah, das kann sein, die werden ausgetauscht). Vor allem: An Fugen und Decke des Bades Flecken (Schimmel?!) Das ist in dieser Kategorie und bei diesem Preis nicht zu erwarten.
