A great hotel, with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff!

Room service failing to deliver proper cutlery with the food and subsequently delaying the delivery of cutlery cause of confusion (delivered first to the wrong room) marred my impression of an otherwise very decent hotel

I stayed here with my family while we were in Athens for the Marathon. The beds we VERY confortable. The room needs updating. Very old fashion decor and it looked to be many years old. However, our room was clean and loacted within walking distance to a metro stop. The hotel was, for the most part, pretty quiet. I noticed that in the bathrooms neighboring […] rooms were very noticable, but this didn't disturb me in the "room". If a conversation was taking place right outside your room door - you would easily be able to hear it. But for the most part it was an easily acceptable noise level. The staff was VERY nice and friendly and spoke excellent English. There was NO launguage barrier. The breakfast was ample. A large variety of foods were offered. My kids were happy with the selection and so were my husband and I. We only stayed over night before going to the airport. Surrounding area was nothing to write home about but the beds were comfy and the services made our quick stay comfortable.

Previous review hasn't changed- loved this hotel for rooftop pool. A bit pricey for drinks and food but nice just the same. Extended originial booking twice and stayed for 8 nights! Very helpful staff.

The rooftop pool/restaurant/bar made this stay worth the little inconveniences:between metro stops;a bit of a walk from the city centre;halfway between port and airport;not many restaurants nearby. But loved the very friendly staff and cleanliness and pool so much we booked an additional 5 days. Great market on Saturday mornings a couple of blocks behind […] the hotel. Carrefour grocery store a couple of blocks away. Bank machine next door. A little noisy from being on the main street but ok. Huge breakfast buffet. Spacious rooms. No in the city center but only a few minutes from Acropolis by taxi ( only 4 to 5 euros). Theres is zone nearby with traditional Taverns that are for me much better than Acropolis restaurants. We've been twice during our 3 days stay.

Pros: Fantastic Beds mattress, pillows and bedding, even the small roll in folding bed as the best I have seen in Greece. Good and safe areas, Short walk to subway station. Cleaning is not good in the room. The reception service is very poor. They saying it’s a 4 stars hotel but their service are like one star service. The price for WIFI using was 4 euro for an hour. I think very expensive and it should be free for hotel customers. We will not recommend this hotel to any of our friends.

Have to say that the President Hotel had the most comfortable beds of any of the hotels we stayed at in Greece and Istanbul. The beds were plush and had wonderful pillows. This is not always the case in Europe even at 4+ star hotels. The staff was wonderful, they had a very good and large breakfast buffet and easy access to buses and metro (taxies on […] strike). The staff at the hotel were awesome! very accomadating, helped us get around town etc. The Bar at the Penthouse is beautiful and the breakfast was more then I could ask for. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was clean, had very comfortable beds and a great pool.

The hotel seemed that it was run by different private enterprises (ex. hotel bar and parking). Internet was good, but fixed to one device only per user. Hotel rooms were clean, the elevators were fast but hot and no air circulation. I would not like to imagine being trapped in them. Overall the service was good, as long as you asked for it. The President Hotel is halfway between the Panormou and Ambelopiki stops on the Metro, making it very convenient to reach the airport AND to easily visit the historic sights in Athens affordably. The check-in process was prompt and friendly; all our staff spoke English and were happy to assist us, from directing us to a local laundromat, to calling […] a taxi for us. Breakfast was basic continental fare; coffee was good. The room was clean and spacious. But probably the best part was the rooftop pool and bar, with a great view of Athens including a peep at the Acropolis from the right angle. Our rate was extremely good for Athens, and we were even able to get a family room with 3 beds and a trundle, to make it more affordable. Elevators were fast even though we were on a high floor. In addition to the Metro, there are frequent buses and trams in all directions, and many taxis available. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to other travellers. Very large hotel with expected ammeneties. Elevators were weird (odd-even elevators) and not built to handle the crowds. Food was decent, nothing spectacular.

We had a wonderful two day stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the swimming pool area on the roof is amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Once the hotel staff explained the use of the metro trains, we could reach our destinations easily. Information on street level was difficult to come by and asking directions […] from the local public was useless. My Greek friend recommended I stay here during a one-night stop through Athens. The location was nice because it was away from the main commotion of downtown Athens while being within a close distance of metro stops. The surrounding area is nice and convenient: many cafes and restaurants, especially as you get closer to Kolonaki. Is a large high-rise […] hotel, so service isn't as personal, but it was very professional. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable, etc. I recommend taking a swim and later having a drink from the rooftop. Note that the hotel is between two metro stops, each about a 10 minute walk: one is uphill (Panormou) and one is downhill (Ambelokipi), so if you have luggage be sure to go to the station that allows you to walk downhill. This hotel was absurdly priced for the service. To be clear, the rooms and the hotel itself were quite lovely. But the various people we dealt with at reception were useless. Note there are charges for internet, no service to the airport or even a shuttle to the nearest metro (about a 20 minute walk, not fun with luggage). We booked a 4 person room […] in advance and it was 3 beds and a cot, instead of two double beds or 4 beds or a double and 2 singles...quite the price to pay for a cot. The location is not ideal, especially for the price. If you want to pay this much, you might as well be more conveniently located towards the center of town, and probably will enjoy better service. the hotel is on a main boulevard, near a very nice area with bars and restaurants, and about 50 min walking from the monuments, cleana rooms, nice hotel, parking is available for a fee

It took us an eternity to find a place to eat. Finally we found a location to eat some low-quality gyros (I had gyros much better and in Athens). No close sightseeings around at a walking distance. I will never return there.

Safe location, 10min walk to metro, clean, confortable hotel. Excellent, rich breakfast. Kind, polite and helpful staff. Lovely bar on top floor with magnificent view over Athens. Pitty the swimming bar on the terrace wasn't open yet.

Doorman/bellman were very helpful and friendly. Helped us get to our destinations via taxis and Metro. Breakfast buffet outstanding. Lunch prices not competitive. Better deals for dinner within walking distance. Liked the air conditioning in the room Disappointed that pool was not open. Nice view from up top. I stayed in this room in March 2011. The room itslef was fine, lthough it was right next to the lifts. The room smelt strongly of cigarettes despite it apparently being a non-smoking room. There was no hair dryer and the bathroom was basic - certainly not 4 star. The bed room was ugly and very outdated - looked to have been upgraded more than 5 years […] ago. The biggest issue was noise. I think the main drain must flow past the room because all night I got a whooshing sound as people flushed their loos. I am a heavy sleeper but this was ridiculous. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the Athens Marathon. We chose it because it was across the street from our friend's apartment. The hotel was very catering to the marathoners staying there and provided breakfast earlier on the day of the marathon. The only think they lacked in service was for luggage storage. We had to check out earlier than […] our flight and the hotel staff was hesitant about letting us keep our bags in the lobby. There were a bunch of bags for other groups left there, but since we didn't come with an organized group, they acted as it was such an inconvenience to let us leave it there. The President Hotel has a very nice roof garden with swimming pool and bar. Spectacular views of the city of Athens and a romantic atmosphere in the evenings.

This is a 20 story hotel with a great view of Athens, especially from the nice roof-top pool bar. From one corner you can see the Acropolis in the distance because the rest of it is blocked by Lycabettus Hill. It's easy to get to on both the Metro and the X95 bus from the airport. The Panormou Metro stop is close by and is 4 stops from Syntagma so […] getting into town is quick and easy. The area around the Panormou Metro stop has some restaurants, bars & clubs so you don't *have* to go into town to find decent nightlife. Αν και μένω στο ξενοδοχείο αυτό τουλάχιστον 5 φορές τον χρόνο, κάθε φορά παρατηρώ και μια βελτίωση στις υπηρεσίες ή τις υποδομές του. Στην τελευταία παραμονή μας εκεί μας έκανε άριστη εντύπωση η αντικατάστση όλων των συσκευών τηλεόρασης με νέες σύγχρονες. Εξαιρετικό όπως πάντα το πλούσιο πρωινό.

Η ευγένεια του προσωπικού, η καθαριότητα του δωματίου και το εξαιρετικά άφθονο και ποιοτικό πρωινό καθιστούν δευτερεύοντα, π.χ. ότι δεν υπάρχει δωρεάν WiFi και την κάπως άβολη προσβασιμότητα στο parking.

λυπαμαι πραγματικα που το president δεν ειναι αυτο που θυμομουν !!!!! χρησιμοποιειται πια σαν κοιτωνας ατομων που εχουν τραυματιστει σε πολεμο στη μεση ανατολη με αποτελεσμα οσο κι αν συμπονω αυτους τους ανθρωπους η διαμονη να γινεται οχι ευχαριστη και οχι ιδιαιτερα ασφαλης ! ουτε λογος φυσικα για να γινει χρηση του καφε τους η του περιβοητου μπαρ του […] 21 οροφου που τοσο διαφημιζουν μιας και το κλιμα ειναι ιδιαιτερα στεναχωρο λογω των τοσο τραυματιων . προτιμηστε κατι αλλο . δεν αξιζει τα λεφτα του Przeczytaj więcej

Πολυ ακριβό για αυτο που προσφέρει. Πολυ μικρό μπάνιο χωρίς μπουρνουζια και είδη καθαρισμού για τα δόντια. Γειτονιά πολυ υποβαθμισμένη. Καλο πρωινό πλούσιο αλλα μικρό εστιατοριο.

O hotel é muito confortável e limpo, o pessoal é muito cordeal. A área de lazer (piscina e bar) é excelente. Gostamos de tudo.

Réception agréable. Très belle piscine sur le toit avec vue sur la ville.
